It's kind of cute how Americans still hang onto the idea that they're the best

The country is incredibly divided. Their education system is awful and it shows on every major international test. Their infrastructure is falling apart. Statistically, it's much harder to become successful in the US than in many other developed countries. Production is all done in other countries. It's no longer the primary center of technological innovation. And yet people there still talk as though they're the best, most important country in the world. They still believe that everything they're doing is correct just because they're doing it. The American people need to start confronting these issues seriously if they want to remain relevant in the world, and hopefully this election will trigger that, because as much as I dislike the US, the other options that exist at the moment are worse.
