"Incorrect Cable. Please use correct dual-link DVI cable."

Hello, I receive an error similar to the title quote when I try to play League of Legends on my primary monitor (ASUS VG248QE 24" Full HD 1920x1080 144Hz 1ms HDMI Gaming Monitor). The game is very blurry and the resolution and framerate are way off. If I go to Windowed mode, the problem appears to disappear. Similarly, if I move the game while in windowed mode to the other monitor, the game works fine (although if I try to fullscreen, it jumps back to the primary monitor). I have not received this issue with any other game. Other games I have played with this same set up on the primary monitor over the last 2 years are DotA 2, Witcher 3, WoW, Diablo 3, & more. My DVI cable appears to work fine and looks physically fine as well. My monitor drivers and graphics card are up to date. I want to be able to play LoL in full screen on my primary monitor as I do with other games. Googling this issue leads to results implying that my DVI cable is missing pins, which does not appear to be the case, especially as all other games work perfectly. Would anyone please be able to help? Thank you.
