Cancel Rift "Rivals" for NA vs EU....... or

Players don't take such seriously and it's counter productive to have such for both sides of the argument to have the event. 1.) It gives players more International EXP True. However, players don't take the event serious anyways......so..........?? 2. It takes away a possible 1-2 week break for the players to rest and be able to recap possible patches etc. 3. It's not a "rivalry" Period. At this point NA has a better chance to have a "rivalry" with the LMS..............{{item:3070}} 4. Most players these days would rather just miss certain tournaments and events if they could. Look at this past year All-Stars - players didn't want to compete in the event and it's literally an event to shoot the s$its....it's not necessary mandatory. You think players/teams will care about RR when RR means nothing, contributes to nothing and overall, a complete joke for viewers? It's pretty much the same as LCS/LEC with the same pick/bans. ............................................................................................................... If Riot does feel the need to have Rift "Rivals" for LCS and LEC why not have the 3 lower teams participate from both regions and give them the much needed practice? I'm sure they wouldn't mind getting some extra exposure and views. To the top level teams it's a wasted event but to the lower teams it's the same as **bench players in the NBA being called up to play 25-30 mins in a game instead of say, the last 3 secs.** **I KNOW** this won't happen because it's all about the **VIEWS and $** and I 100% fully understand!!!! but at the same time it (would/could/might) help the lower NA teams for a number of reasons 1. Like I previously alluded to - It will give such teams/players EXP that they won't take for granted. 2. Many of the lower teams will actually play with a purpose(unlike the higher teams) only because the players will be playing for potential roster spots for next split. They would put their best foot forward to keep their spot or to be viewed as valuable if they have a good tournament. _Look at Mikeyeung and Phoenix 1 as an example _ from awhile back ago. All I ever heard after Rift Rivals was "MikeYeung should replace Svenskeren" It would help develop the younger players and give them confidence, create a brand of their own, a nickname etc. IDK Just my thoughts on the matter Rain down the hate! {{item:3070}} {{item:3070}} {{item:3070}} {{item:3070}}
