While everyone is upset about the huge changes that is the juggernaut&fiora reworks, we are forgetting one champion who has gotten a re-work.
While not a major rework, teemo has defenitely been influenced. The buffs were as follows for those not up-to-date with all the changes
Teemo now can stealth twice as fast in bushes, and the timer has been reduced from 2 to 1.5s. The mushroom now require 3 hits from ranged champions, and 2 from melee champions.
Now for the nerfs
Teemo's attack speed steroid from his passive got halfed earlygame, the Life span on Teemo's ultimate got reduced from 10 minutes to 5, the arm time has been increased to 1.5 from 1s
**My problem with the teemo changes **
Undoubtedly, the passive changes are good. The ultimate toss is good. The health increase is good. However this all became with two big costs which were for me, and many many more teemo mains, not worth it. **The life span reduction and arm time increase**
Experienced (or smart) teemo players used their ultimate, Noxious trap, as a means to win trades easily. You would plant a shroom on the most nearby creep and let it explode. Because of its huge radius it resulted in massive damage combined with liandrys. However, after the nerf to his ultimate this is no longer possible sadly. The 1/3th's increase on the ultimate Arm Time made it way too easy to walk away from the Mushroom and just avoid the damage all together.
Because of this reason its not worth it to rush liandries anymore which is what almost every teemo player did. Liandrys allowed teemo to have high damage and high survivability for the laning phase, which someone as squishy as teemo desperately needed. Liandrys also gave teemo the needed damage against tanky laners. 12% of Current HP is nothing to scoff at in a trade after all. Right now youre focused to rush Nashors Tooth because otherwise you will just deal no damage straight up in lane. The mushroom became too unreliable and the only reliable damage now is Toxic Shot. However because you rush nashors tooth it ultimately makes you too squishy. But then again you cant rush liandry because it became too unreliable. See the problem there?
I tried looking at the bright side of the changes. The toss on the ultimate and the passive change. However as much as people are hyping the changes i just felt too weak to make use of them. The passive change i see as a nerf early game. Lets be honest; when did you use teemo's passive. Your answer will most likely be
A: Early game cheese; pop out of stealth and do a lot of level one damage.
B: Lategame ambush (Rare)
As for a; the passive attack speed got halfed from 40% to 20%. As for b; do you really use the passive lategame? You dont ambush a tank and the ADC will be dead in 1 rotation of spells if you are not extremely behind. Toxic shot auto > Blinding dart > Auto > Ignite. The doubled attack speed is nice but just too situational and the nerfs outweigh that small change too much.
The toss on teemo's ultimate is nice - however it just feels random and weird. Why does teemo need this? What does it do for him? Who asked for it anyway? What do you want teemo to be? Throwing mushrooms from 900 units away or attack them with your awful 500 range?
The main argument i have seen for the ultimate is: Throw it in the teamfight and you will waste the AD Carries autoattacks OR do massive damage.
**THIS IS UNTRUE.**
This would defenitely be the case if
A: The Arm Time wasnt awfully long
B: The mushroom wasnt so small.
If the enemy isnt lagging, or just straight up bad, they can walk around it or even (if they feel lazy) *LENS* it. This **COMPLETELY DISARMS THE MUSHROOM ALLOWING YOU TO WALK OVER IT**.
Notice how teemo's [winrate](http://web.archive.org/web/20150612022829/http://champion.gg/statistics/) and play rate went down since the [''buffs''](http://champion.gg/statistics/#?sortBy=general.winPercent&order=descend).
Please riot, help us teemo players. With the exception of the 5.16 changes (Poison bugfix, slow decay revert) it feels like our cries for help are just being ignored. With patch 5.17 here, and no teemo changes yet on the pbe i have little to no faith left of teemo being changed. Im just so scared they will leave teemo in this state after giving him these changes. Especially because it seems everyone (especially reddit) straight up hates teemo and wish the worst for him.
