Why does Rengars empowered Battle Roar clear Tristana's Explosive Charge?

I've tried to find out if Trists bomb counted as CC but i cant find anything that points to her bomb being a CC, which if it was, the Battle Roar would cleanse it, but i dont think it's a form of CC, so i dont understand, can anyone help out?
