Is something wrong today?

I just had a game where my top laner "RQ" after dying 1v1 to Teemo as Nasus.. they reconnect only to sit in base and afk again? After that game, 2 of the enemy teammates afk'd, top and jungle.. top lane i understand got rekt as Skarner to Fiora but the kindred afking? Why? Their team said because Skarner afk so the Kindred did also? Like wtf..? Or is it some bug or something that's been d/cing people today?
