Re-doing League's items (Part 2: Crit items and FORMER Crit Items)

[Part 1: Stats and Starting Items](https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/al7y9nrJ-re-doing-leagues-items-part-1-stats-and-starting-items) **General Changes** *"I'm telling you, AP Vayne is legit guys"* If an ability has any of the following effects... * Damage * Healing (excluding abilities that grant lifesteal) * Shielding ...and it does not already have an AP ratio, any AP the champion possesses will amplify these numbers by 0.05%. Why is this in a section about Crit? You'll see. Why wasn't it in the section explicitly marked as "Stats"? Totally isn't that I forgot. Definitely not that. **Critical Strikes** * Crits are now classified as abilities, not stats. * Different Crits have different proc chances and multipliers. * If you have multiple sources of crit, you will roll for all of them separately and take whichever one results in the highest damage value. **Crit Items** >{{item:1018}} Cloak of Agility {{item:1036}} + 900 g (1250 total) 12 attack damage UNIQUE Passive - Lesser Critical Strike: Your basic attacks have a 25% chance to deal 1.8x damage. Now more of a casual pickup item. Not incredible, but probably feels a little better to buy than a Cloak on live. Still not great, though, so maybe you'll want to upgrade this. >{{item:1051}} Brawler's Glove {{item:1018}} + {{item:1037}} + 0 g (2125 total) (combining the Cloak and Pickaxe doesn't cost anything, but it must be done manually) 37 attack damage UNIQUE Passive - Sucker Punch: After not attacking for 5 seconds, your next basic attack has a 100% chance to critically strike for 2x damage. UNIQUE Passive - Lesser Critical Strike: Your basic attacks have a 25% chance to deal 1.8x damage. Passive: After scoring three takedowns with this item equipped, Brawler's Glove becomes Ragged. Attempting to sell a Ragged Brawler's Glove in the store will not give you any gold, but will instead give you back a Pickaxe and Cloak of Agility. This item hasn't been a real thing since the GP rework. You don't want to sit on that Cloak for too long, and the new IE is pretty expensive. You can upgrade your Cloak to a Glove while you save up the remaining 1875 gold for your IE >{{item:3031}} Infinity Edge {{item:1018}} + {{item:1038}} + {{item:1037}} +575 g (4000 total) 88 attack damage UNIQUE Passive - Greater Critical Strike: Your basic attacks have a 30% chance to deal 2.1x damage. UNIQUE Passive - Critical Moments: Increases the multiplier of all critical strikes by 0.25. Still a powerhouse item. It's a bit more expensive, but not to the point where you can't afford it. You'll still want one of these eventually, but maybe stay on your Brawler's Glove and wait for a bit, eh? There are other items you'll want, and I promise a Brawler's Glove or Cloak with one of those will be better than a naked Infinity Edge in most cases. >{{item:3694}} Cloak and Dagger {{item:1018}} + {{item:1042}} + {{item:3134}} + 400 g (3050 total) 40 attack damage 18% attack speed 5-10 armor penetration (based on level) UNIQUE Passive - Lesser Critical Strike: Your basic attacks have a 25% chance to deal 1.8x damage. UNIQUE Active - Cloak: Become invisible for 1.5 seconds. Upon exiting stealth, gain 18% attack and movement speed for 3 seconds (40 second CD). An alternative route. Less raw damage than an Infinity Edge, but maneuverability is all-important. **But wait, what about Zeal?** >{{item:3086}} Zeal {{item:1036}} + {{item:1042}} + 500 g (1250 total) 12% attack speed 12 attack damage UNIQUE Passive - Zeal: +8% movement speed Zeal is no longer a crit item, and neither are the items it builds out of. >{{item:2015}} Kircheis Shard {{item:1042}} + 300 g (600 total) 15% attack speed UNIQUE Passive - Thunderlord's Decree: Your basic attack's have a 20% chance to deal 50 bonus magic damage. The "Energized" mechanic no longer exists. >{{item:3087}} Statikk Shiv {{item:2015}} + {{item:3086}} +750 g (2600 total) 30% attack speed 18 attack damage UNIQUE Passive - Zeal: +8% movement speed UNIQUE Passive - Thunderlord's Decree: Your basic attacks have a 20% chance to deal 90-180 bonus magic damage, bouncing to nearby enemies up to five times or until there are no new enemies to hit. A DPS tool. >{{item:3631}} Lightning Rod {{item:3087}} + {{item:1037}} + 3025 g (6500 total) 50% attack speed 50 attack damage UNIQUE Passive - Zeal: +8% movement speed UNIQUE Passive - Thunderlord's Decree: Your basic attacks have a 20% chance to deal 200 bonus magic damage, bouncing to nearby enemies up to five times or until there are no new enemies to hit. The initial target will also be stunned for 0.05 seconds. UNIQUE Active - Thunderdome: Place a *Static Field* at a target location (900 range, 400 AOE). Against targets within the *Static Field*, Thunderlord's Decree has a 100% proc chance and deals true damage. The *Static Field* lasts 6 seconds. 40 second CD. Extremely expensive and extremely threatening. If you're building around attack speed, this item is utterly brutal to fight, and is a must-have if your team is packing a Wombo Combo. Fortunately for the enemy team, it's so expensive that they will have had ample time to buy defensive items, and it's buildup is so terrible that most sane people won't even consider buying it until the extreme late game. OK back to the realm of sanity for a moment. >{{item:3094}} Rapid Fire Cannon {{item:3086}} + {{item:1043}} + 250 g (2600 total) 40% attack speed +15 attack damage UNIQUE Passive - Zeal: +8% movement speed UNIQUE Passive - Take Aim: +150 attack range (ranged champions) +25 attack range (melee champions) UNIQUE Passive: Basic attacks deal a bonus 15 physical damage on hit. Now that we've gone and removed crit from Zeal, here's RFC compensated for that loss. Yes, this does mean that a Cait with RFC can outrange a tower. No, that is not an excuse to get backdoored by Caitlyn. Compared to Shiv, RFC gives less DPS (and no AOE presence), but gives you the ability to keep your distance. >{{item:3046}} Phantom Dancer {{item:3086}} + {{item:1042}} + {{item:1042}} + 1500 g (3350 total) 50% attack speed +20 attack damage UNIQUE Passive - Zeal: +8% movement speed UNIQUE Passive - Dance: Gain 8% movement speed upon attacking an enemy champion. UNIQUE Passive - Cloak: Upon taking damage that would take you below 20% health, become pacified, invisible, and untargetable for 1 second, gaining 75% movement speed for that time. 75 second CD. The most expensive item in the Zeal line that isn't some late game fantasy. For something of its price point, the damage it gives is pretty pitiful, but that's not its job. This item guarantees that you have some degree of safety. Note that this item's passive shares a name with Cloak and Dagger's active, meaning you can't use both of them. >{{item:3057}} Sheen {{item:1052}} +{{item:1027}} +265 (1050 total) 25 AP 250 Mana UNIQUE Passive - Spellblade: After casting an ability, your next basic attack deals bonus physical damage equal to 100% of your base AD. Sheen no longer grants CDR. >{{item:3078}} Trinity Force {{item:3057}} + {{item:3086}} + {{item:3044}} + 3 gold (3483 total) 300 HP 300 Mana 33 AP 33 AD 33% attack speed +9% movement speed UNIQUE Passive - Spellblade: After casting an ability, your next basic attack deals bonus physical damage equal to 200% of your base AD (2 second CD). UNIQUE Passive - Rage: Basic attacks grant 20 movemetn speed for 2 seconds. Kills grant 60 movement speed. Half bonuses for ranged champions. And now Trinity Force grants no CDR. To compensate for that loss, it's getting back its AP and its other stats are getting a boost, and it's also getting a cost decrease. Will this break Ezreal? I sure hope not. > {{item:3508}} Essence Reaver {{item:3057}} + {{item:1038}} + 900 g (3250 total) 50 AD 40 AP 300 Mana UNIQUE Passive - Spellblade: After casting an ability, your next basic attack deals bonus physical damage equal to (100% base AD) (+30% bonus AD). UNIQUE Passive - Essence Shift: Spells deal bonus damage equal to 30% of their mana cost. A more general "burst" sheen item. No longer a strange "Crit/Mana/CDR" stat bundle. > {{item:3085}} Runaan's Hurricane {{item:1043}} + {{item:1042}} + {{item:1042}} +300 g (2000 total) 70% attack speed Passive: Your basic attacks deal 20 bonus physical damage on hit. UNIQUE Passive - Wind's Fury: Your basic attacks launch two bolts to adjacent targets, dealing half damage and applying on-hit effects. If there are no adjacent targets, the initial target will take 20% bonus damage from the attack. A return to its original version, with a bit of isolation damage on top of that. Given how cheap this is, it might end up being pretty good.
