As some know, I own and manage a few gas stations in Columbus and Indianapolis. I has started a program last year that does not exist any more to where if you are a new hire and you work for me for a year, you get an additional dollar per hour that you worked. A employee of mine quit 2 days before he would have got his bonus(About 1700 dollars worth), and he did not give a 2 weeks notice. He is now trying to cause us trouble because his old assistant manager(Who no longer works for us) Told him s wrong anniversary date and the worker quit on the date he thought was his anniversary date but that was wrong.
Do we legally or ethically owe him anything as he did get wrong information from a Assistant manager who does not work here any more.
