LOL could take a few lessons from the Banjo Kazooie series...

I remember when Banjo Kazooie first came out years ago. It looked really silly and fun, but that's what everyone loved about it. It was a completely new take on the platformer genre. The first game was a success, so they made a sequel, Banjo Tooie. Not quite as successful as the first one, but still a very good game with acceptable sales. Then the third game in the series came out...Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. This game was completely different from the first 2, since instead of being a platformer the game involved building cars/go karts. The art style also got changed and was not loved by most players. As you might expect the game got terrible reviews and sales, and as a result no more Banjo games have been made since. I feel like the current season of LOL is the "Nuts and Bolts" of the series. I realize we technically don't have a new game, but that's how it feels every season since Riot feels the need to reinvent the wheel every year. In so many game sequels, developers feel the need to completely overhaul the system to make the series feel "new", "fresh", or "exciting", but this is completely unnecessary. Instead of making so many massive changes, let's make small improvements or small additions to the system we currently have.
