Why not just have turrets scale with the progression of the game?

I think the inhibitor turrets and nexus turrets having 55 and 57 armor and magic resist as champions are obtaining more items and damage is ludicrous. I think turret balance might be much better if they scaled with the game as champions do and get increasingly more attack power and resistances the longer the game goes on. Or turrets could do half magic damage and half attack damage like Corki, and therefore only having armor isn't going to cut it if you want to successfully tank tower shots or dive. Just some food for thought, turret weakness should have been addressed patches ago but I'll take what I can get.
