[Champion Concept] Izol - Fist of the Magnetar

http://i.imgur.com/3yHsi19.jpg **Lore:** Izol was once an ore miner by trade - recognized for his skillful hands and unyielding personal fortitude. He futilely strived for greatness in a place that housed no glory. No songs are sung for the earthmovers upon whose shoulders stand the very foundations of thriving industry. They are the cogs of the modern world, but are lower than the dirt beneath one's feet. In the eyes of the common folk, they were but rancid beasts toiling beneath the mire of Zaun. Knowing that his prospects were dismal, Izol nevertheless remained steadfast in his post - until a horrifying tragedy struck. A sudden tunnel collapse claimed the lives of several of his fellow workers, and in the process of their attempted rescue, Izol lost his arm. In the wake of this disaster, his career took a rather unexpected turn. He became eligible for an experimental workforce support program known as the "metallurgy initiative." He was surgically equipped with a specialized prosthesis - a strong, mechanical arm which doubled as a powerful electromagnet. It has the capability to control mining equipment remotely, and could ultimately unearth minerals from deep-seated ore deposits. Though his personal loss was accounted for, he still mourned the loss of his comrades, and cursed the institution that failed to recognize their noble sacrifices. He continued his laborious work - slowly loosing the ironclad will that once forged his success. The longer he worked, the more he began to realize that his immense, newfound strength came with one major drawback: the prosthetic, as it exists, would be a terrible danger to the industrial world outside of the tunnels - for its destructive potential warranted Izol's immediate execution if he were to step foot on civil soil. His once successful career had become a form of servitude from which there was only one possible release. What Zaun did not anticipate is that Izol would find these rules arbitrary. He decided his time in the mines had run its course, and decided to take his chances with fate. At the exit of the mines, he stood surrounded by a small army opposing him. Despite being helplessly outnumbered, Izol noticed that the soldiers before him had made one, gigantic mistake. Izol smiled with the sudden realization. "Go home, boys." he mocked. "It's not going to work." "You're a menace to the public, Izol." a soldier yelled from atop a mound of gravel. "We have strict orders to kill on site. We're not backing down." "Yes you are." Izol smirked. He raised his mechanical arm into the air, and it began to vibrate with an electrical hum. Before the soldiers could fire, their weapons flew from their hands towards Izol, and hovered just in front of his grasp. He then dropped them harshly onto the ground. "Next time," Izol scolded them, "try using broom handles or something." The situation was quickly and humiliatingly diffused. Izol walked free that day. Izol's appearances since have been brief, but those who have seen him say he no longer possesses the bearing of a man of dignity. His pride and integrity were exchanged for a lust for money, distain for a system that ruined him, and an unquenchable thirst for destruction. Despite these changes to his once respectable MO, his current work history with the privatized Noxian task force proves he makes a far better mercenary than a miner. "I stopped believing that moving mountains could make a living. . .so I became a soldier for hire. Now I make a killing." -Izol _______ > **Stats:** > > - Health: 582 (+86 per level) > - Attack Damage: 53 (+3 per level) > - Attack Speed: 0.638 (+3% per level) > - Movement Speed: 345 > - Health Regen: 7.83 (+0.65 per level) > - Armor: 28.2 (+4 per level) > - Magic resist: 32 (+1 per level) > - Attack range: 125 (melee), Izol lashes foes with his metal, whip-like arm. _______ > **Izol's design philosophy: ** > >http://i.imgur.com/MySJbPg.png > > Izol He is a bruiser at heart, but it would take a fine mixture of strength and cunning to master him. He is an AD castor that conjures the power of magnets and tactical positioning to smash his foes - utilizing the weight and pull strength of the different magnets at his disposal. Izol can set up highly strategic chain reactions that obliterate his foes with precision and wit, accompanied by the sheer strength of his iron fist. > > Magnetism in-game can work given the following weight/pull balances: > > Weight/influence: > > •Champions = 1 (0 pull) > •Small magnets = 2 > •Large magnets = 3 > > Any object being pulled upon by an object of higher mass/influence will be drawn to the more massive object. Based on this principle, champions cannot draw anything to themselves - for there are no other objects below that weight/influence class. These laws are dictated by the individual AoE's and targeting of Izol's abilities themselves - merely giving the illusion of magnetism without needing to have actual in-game values for weight, magnetic influence, etc. ________ **Abilities: ** _______ > > > **Passive: Wrath of the Magnitar** > > Izol's auto attacks electrically charge enemies. Whenever he auto attacks champions specifically, his attacks inflict the targeted champion with stacks of "Magnetism." Each auto attack gives 1 stack of Magnetism, and each stack of Magnetism makes the targeted champion more susceptible to the pull of certain magnets. (Maximum of 5 stacks) > > •2 stacks = drawn to large magnets > •4 stacks = drawn to small magnets > > Stacks also decay over the course of 4 seconds if no other stacks are added (resetting of course of another stack is added in time) After a total of 6 stacks have been added, the 4 second countdown cannot be reset. After the stacks disappear, champions cannot receive stacks for another 12 seconds. Magnetism stacks also disappear when an enemy champion collides with any of Izol's magnetic objects, or after being pulled to any wall or champion-made structure via Izol’s magnets. > >The stack maximum makes Izol need to think fairly quickly about where he places magnets, and doesn't have all the time in the world to plan his next attack. > > *Champions with Magnetism are NOT drawn to each other. > _______ > > **Q: Saxum Minor** > > Izol generates a small, industrial magnet in a set location - raising it from underground. If any magnetic units (champions with enough Magnetism stacks, other small magnets) are within a certain distance of this magnet, they are drawn to it - taking mild physical damage, and becoming stunned upon contact with the magnet. If a small magnet draws another small magnet, they are pulled towards each other, and meet at a mid point – both of them breaking upon impact, causing physical damage and applying a mild slow to any enemy/neutral units between them. Champions with enough Magnetism stacks (4) within 300 units are drawn to it as well, take mild physical damage, and become stunned for a moment upon contact. > > There are two AoE circles of varying sizes around each Saxum Minor magnet. The largest one (radius of 550) indicates the distance another Saxum Minor needs to be away from the magnet in order for the two magnets to break on contact with one another. If one Saxum Minor is within the smaller circle (radius of 350) of another Saxum Minor magnet, the magnets are drawn together, but do not break upon contact with each other. Remember, champions will only be drawn to a Saxum Minor if they are within this smaller circle, and have enough stacks of Magnetism. > > •Cast time: 0.25 second(s) > •Size: 125 units across > •Duration: 6 seconds > •Placement Maximum: 2 > •Range of Magnetism: 550 (350 for attracting champions) > •Speed of pull: 1800 > •Damage of passing magnet: 50/75/110/175/220 (+70% AD) > •Stun for champion contact: 1 second > •Slow: 30% > •Attraction damage on contact: 35/55/75/95/115 (+80% Attack Damage) > •Cooldown: 8/7.5/7/6/5 > - Mana cost: 50/55/60/65/70 > •Unit max: 2 units (placing more than 2 units will cancel the earliest unit placed) > > *Magnets/champions cannot be pulled through walls or champion-made structures - rather the champion stops at the wall/structure, no stun/damage is applied, and any stacks of Magnetism disappear. Any magnet that pulls upon a champion from out of vision immediately becomes visible the moment the champion is affected by its pull. This visability only lasts 2 seconds. Also, if two equally-sized magnets pull upon each other from two different sides of a wall, they collide with the wall, and do not break upon contact. > > *Any magnets placed in bushes are still visible from outside of them. > _______ > > **W: Saxum Major** > > Much like Saxum Minor, Izol generates a LARGE, industrial magnet in a set location. If any smaller magnets are located within 850 units of the larger one, they are drawn to this large cylinder, and break upon contact - dealing physical damage to enemies within its collision path, and slowing them temporarily. Champions with enough Magnetism stacks (2) within 650 units are drawn to it as well, take mild physical damage, and become stunned for a moment upon contact. > Much like Saxum Minor, there are two AoE circles of varying sizes around each Saxum Major magnet. The largest one (radius of 850) indicates the distance another Saxum Minor needs to be away from the magnet in order for the Saxum Minor to break upon contact with the Saxum Major. If one Saxum Minor is within the smaller circle (radius of 650) of a Saxum Major, the Saxum Minor is drawn to the larger one, but does not break upon contact with it, since it doesn't have the momentum. The damage is only dealt at the end of the attack - meaning any units Izol passes over are unaffected. > *This attack can dash through map-generated walls. > > - Channel time: 0.25 > - Damage: 30/40/60/85/115 (+80% AD) > - Dash distance: 600 (impact can only occur in the last 150 units) > - Cooldown: 16/15/14/12/10 > - Mana cost: 70/70/75/80/80 _______ > **R: Ferro Flare. ( lol get it? ) ** > > Izol channels his magnetic arm for half a second, and then releases a surge of magnetic energy forward - summoning a wave of liquid ferrofluid spikes that rise from the ground in a cone shaped AoE in front of him.
