Shyvana VGU Concept: The Dragonborn

**Lore and Interview:** Shyvana is half dragon elite guard of Demacia, she is physically powerful being and was made for guarding against invaders. Alright, Let's take a look at a part of her Lore! Shyvana is a creature with pure elemental magic blazing in her heart. Though she most often appears humanoid, she can take her true form when necessary—that of a fearsome dragon, incinerating her foes with fiery breath. Having saved the life of the crown prince Jarvan IV, Shyvana now serves uneasily in his royal guard, struggling to find acceptance among the suspicious people of Demacia. Though they are rare creatures now indeed, there exist a handful of places across Runeterra where the great elemental dragons still nest. Shyvana should have secret interactions with J4, Galio, Xin Zhao, Poppy and Sona as she has a strong connection with these champions. She should have a powerful bond with them, as an elite guard of Demacia. Example 2: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/W5wrJ By Walther Sorg The reason I shared this image is to give a small idea of how the dragon could be reworked Shyvana should have a tougher visual design, especially in her half dragon form, she needs to have more armors, more scales, larger bones and gauntlets with claws. As for the Dragon form, there could be some extra size, and instead of walking on 4 legs, she could still walk on the 2 legs only, by making the legs thicker and bigger, while keeping her arms away from the ground --- **Gameplay Design:** Role: Jungler Class: Diver **Base Stats:** Health: 590 - 2140 Health Regan: 8 – 22 Fury: 100 Range: 125 Attack damage: 65 – 123 Attack Speed: 0.658 (+ 0 – 42.5%) Armor: 33 – 93 Magic Resist: 32 – 52 Movement Speed: 345 Shyvana should be focusing on being the defensive diver in the jungler role. She should have the abilities to empower her mobility, as well as a scaled defense to keep her theme of being the dragonborn character. Shyvana's dragon form should allow more changes in her gameplay. Such, as, more defense, more aura of damage, more ranges. **Galio level rework required** --- **Abilities:** **Passive [Dragon Fury]:** Shyvana generates her fury while moving and attacking. Upon moving, Shyvana generates 2 fury per second Upon attacking, Shyvana generates 5 Fury per auto attack Shyvana also receives 10% bonus armor and magic resist Fury has special interactions with Shyvana's abilities when it reaches 100 Using a normal ability when having 100 Fury, will reset the fury to 0. **In Dragon Form: Shyvana's fury generating will be doubled and everytime she kills a dragon, she'll receive an additional 2% armor and magic resist.** --- **Q [Flame Buffet]:** Shyvana unleashes a fireball at a target location, dealing **80/120/160/200/240 [+50% AD] as physical damage** to the first enemy it hits and burns the ground in a small radius for 4 seconds, dealing 2% of the target's Hp as Physical damage. **At 100 Fury, Fire Ball will create a larger burnt area upon landing, and all enemies standing on the burnt ground will be slowed by 20%** **In Dragon Form: Fire Ball will increase in size, doubles the size of the missile and it will damage all the enemies in the location.** Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6 seconds range: 400 radius of the burnt ground: 150 (300 at 100 Fury) --- **W [Inner Burn]:** Shyvana will unleash flames around her for 4 seconds, **dealing 24/31/38/45/52 [+20% AD] physical damage** per second to nearby enemies. **Enemies hit by inner burn with 4 ticks will have a mark of inner burn on them for 1 second. Using an auto attack will stun this target for 1 second.** **At 100 Fury, Inner Burn's duration will increase by 2 seconds, and the damage dealt will increase by 30%.** **In Dragon Form. The radius of burn aura will be doubled.** Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds Radius: 200 (400 Dragon form) --- **E [Mobile Roam]:** Shyvana gains **17/19/21/23/25%** movement speed for 4 seconds **AT 100 fury, increases the duration by 2 seconds and refunds 50% of the cooldown back** In Dragon Form: Over 1.5 seconds, Shyvana leaves the ground and flies over the map for all the duration, doubles the bonus of movement speed to** 34%/38%/42%/46%/50%**. Casting an ability or auoting the enemy champion will allow her to get back to ground over 1.5 seconds. While flying, Shyvana becomes immune to all melee attacks, but ranged abilities and auto attacks can hit her while flying. Cooldown: 20 seconds at all ranks --- **R [Dragon Descent]:** Shyvana jumps to the air and transforms into her dragon form, upon landing on the targeted area, dealing **100/200/300 [+50% AD] as physical damage** to the enemies. She remains in her dragon form for 12 seconds **Dragon form gains 25% bonus tenacity and 200/350/500 maximum health.** **At rank 3, Shyvana's dragon form remains permanent and the cost of Dragon Descent will be reduced to 0 fury. Upon casting Dragon Descent while in permanet Dragon form, Shyvana will continue to jump on the targeted location to deal damage.** Cost: 100 Fury/100 Fury/0 Fury Cooldown: 120/100/80 seconds Range: 400 --- **Overall conclusion:** Shyvana will be a unique diver jungler, and she will have a lot of interesting mechanics with this update. Allowing her to play as a tanky diver with interesting mechanics to either chase a prey, escape or defend the allies. Let's have a look at the pros and cons! **Pros:** 1) Very solid diver in teamfights 2) A lot of interesting mechanics 3) Abilities that match her theme 4) Very mobile later game 5) Dragon form remains permanent at rank 3 **Cons:** 1) All of her damage comes from physical damage now 2) Needs to think of multiple decisions before casting any ability because of the Fury gameplay 3) Once her Fury gets back to 0, It will be easier to duel her 4) Dragon form needs work to use in the first 2 ranks 5) Has no crowd control. Therefore, champions who rely mostly on auto attacks, especially ranged will counter her in both early and later game In conclusion, with the change of her other spells and how her ultimate works now, Shyvana will be mainly played as a defensive diver that focuses a lot more on defense than offense. Shyvana will be a scaling champion who fits the late game reward pretty well.
