A few years back there was a new Miss Fortune skin (Pool Party). When the splash came out, it was okay, but the boards were immediately flooded with complaints about her face and the shape of her toes. (https://i.ibb.co/PrS1764/Screen-Shot-2019-12-03-at-15-04-37.png)
So what did Riot do in response? Well, MF is supposed to be attractive, so they took the splash back to the drawing board and fixed it until the target players were happy.
Similarly, Vladimir got some new artwork with the advent of the wonderful Legends of Runeterra. There were plenty of complaints about him looking, well, ugly and goofy. It's a bit embarrassing when supposedly one of the most attractive men in your game world looks worse than a Demacian rando. So what did Riot do this time?
Sorry to be a pain, but it seems to me that there's a bit of a double standard here. Why won't Riot lift a finger to fix something clearly off, that has received plenty of negative feedback?
Appendix: In the last thread there were people saying "that's what he looks like in LoL so he has to look at least as bad here". With regards to that here's a [statement from Steve Rubin](https://esports-news.co.uk/2019/10/19/steve-rubin-legends-runeterra-riot-interview/):
> It’s really interesting for us, especially because when you think about in Legends of Runeterra, champions aren’t one-to-one copies of what we see in League of Legends. In League of Legends there are reworks and changes.
> We take what players love about the character and design around that. In the future, **as League of Legends becomes a bigger thing, you might see characters portrayed in different ways**. We do that based on what players think about characters.
Vlad's ugly, outdated design isn't really something players love about him. It's been one of the biggest pain points for years. It kind of ruins the experience, being in sharp contrast to the rest of his characterisation. I mean he looks like a failed attempt at being generic and doesn't even match the original description he had in the old lore.
Not to mention the above quote implies it probably won't change in LoR even if Vlad got reworked in LoL.
[Appendix 2: Is it so hard to make minor adjustments to the design that bring him closer to the irresistible king of the night he's supposed to be?
