: Towers have a way bigger impact on snowballing than just the gold. The main benefit from takeing towers is mapcontroll, which opens up more objectives and farm. With how little vision there is in hte game since S6, loosing the vision from your towers is huge, and the benefits of your minions pushing deep into enemy territory and thus granting vision along the lane should never be underestimated, and it removes savety zones for your opponents from the river which makes it easy to have the better position around baron/dragon. Plants and scutllers make things even worse, as you have easy acces to them once you've taken all outer turrets, further snowballing your controll over the river and thus the objectives. Atleast in high elo, the mapcontroll is the much bigger factor for snowballing compared to the gold(not saying the tower gold doesn't contribute to snowballing aswell). Imo we need to revisit vision and mostly the lack thereoff since S6, with more overall vision from players, loosing your towers would have less impact on the overall mapcontroll. Asides from that, objectives are way to easy to take across the rift as the overall damage and sutain in the game is rather absurd. The most dangerous part of dragon/baron is positioning your self in the pit, the actuall monster hardly causes any problems, especially when an adc with lifesteal is involved. But even more disturbing than that is how fast they die. Lategame, you can burn down baron in ~5-8sec as a full 5 man, dragons become driveby objectives, and you can just walk over turrets as they fall in ~3-4sec if all focus on them. This makes it nearly impossible to respond to a strong 5 man once it's ahead, as you can't really play the map. If you don't match there rotations all the time, they'll just burn through the next objective in no time. If you opponents group at baron, you have no choice but to rush their asap or it's gone before you know what happened.

yeah i'd love to see that.. game really sucks right now because of how short laning is because of paper towers and that short laning is also pressured by junglers with catchup xp

and the laning phase is pretty much inexistent if you lose a tower since you can't overextend without being pressured by the enemy jungler, and the enemy midlaner will just roam if possible. (i made this very specific for midlane sorry, but it applies to toplane too and bot too since they rotate after taking tower) it really sucks, laning was a fun 1v1 experience and it's sad to see it shorten by a lot nowadays

ADC's have just as much counter play as every other role, they all have their trade offs.
it takes just {{item:3155}} to negate like 1/4 of a mage's burst. adcs ARENT SQUISHY ANYMORE. {{item:3109}} {{item:3190}} are built basically every game and if the enemy adc buys any lifesteal item at all they're unkillable. i'm not against them to deal shitloads of damage, but you can't kill them at all because mages have shit itemisation and assassins are completely dumpstered lategame (which adcs reach with zeal item and IE). stop defending adcs, its clear this meta revolves around them. "oh but wait they have a chogath dude he can oneshot the enemy adc" thats the dumbest shit i've ever heard. you can't say adcs are fine because if you pick chogath you can oneshot them. i want to see how a khazix or a syndra kill an adc lategame through all the shields and damage reduction they have right now lol. when you want people to take you seriously you leave all your bias alone because i'm 100% sure you're an adc player and actually think about the subject.

Yeah lol because when you're going all in in a fight as an ap assassin cd is gonna matter. ever wondered why ahri, lb and fizz prefer gunblade over luden's? exactly. because the item is far better than luden's in terms of burst. and those champions are the definition of burst damage in league. luden's is just better on mages because you can proc it reliably, that doesn't mean it has the best burst.

true it feels bad while building it, but the active is worth it. comparing the 2 items, i just think luden's costs way too much gold. 175 - 250 (based on level) (+ 30% AP) - gunblade 100 (+ 10% AP) - ludens luden's has a lower cd but you're using it for burst so cd really doesnt matter when you're going all in. gunblade - 80 ap, 3400 gold luden's - 100 ap, decent ms, 3100 g, shitty build path as well to be honest it's really about which champion you're playin, lb, ahri, fizz might prefer gunblade over luden's

Heres the thing, marksmen start the game off very weak. other classes do not. lets put it into terms you might understand, monetary ones. Lets say I can choose between two options for a financial plan for my life. Option 1: I start with 500,000 dollars, but only make 30,000 dollars a year after that. Option 2: I start with 100,000 dollars, but I make 60,000 dollars a year after that. This of course would be a crude explanation of how scaling works. If you start with more power, you gain less as the game goes on, which is only fair. It would not be fair to someone who started with 100,000 dollars for someone to start with 500,000 and make 60,000 a year. There would be no way to catch up, and it would only serve to cater to people who don't want to work for their money (power)
this is actually good in theory but it's not actually applied in game unfortunately. i don't suggest nerfing adc's at all, just make their itemisation more expensive and changing shiv to deal less damage to champs and more damage to minions
