: This is the major thing I want them to address. Lissandra's assumption is that the Watchers want to bury the world in ice which may just be a lie they told her. Their powers are ice and dark ice related, and I want to know why they're so different from the normal purple voidborn. I'm wondering if they were run of the mill voidlings but being encased in the Howling Abyss with True Ice for millenia permanently changed them into beings of ice. People have been speculating the Watchers were related to the Void since Vel'Koz's release and it's been basically confirmed they are one and the same thing rather than separate big bads, but there is some connection tissue we are missing there.
There's also that ominous message from Aurelion Sol, that there is something evil and powerful within the void and that it actually makes him quite uneasy. Also the fact that in game he has a line where he says the people should pray that certain dark forces ignore this world. Could it be that the watchers were mere messengers all along and that their superior(s) is still in the void... waiting?
The Iceborn (EUNE)
: Very good theories, which I believe to be true! My only question is why does Lissandra need the last yetis magic? She has enough power and magic of her own, what does the yeti have thats so precious? I like how Lissandra is playing the seemingly good stepmom but is actually and evil witch LOL{{sticker:slayer-pantheon-rainbows}} One more thing, which I think you interpreted right and I didnt quite get that.. It says that the dark ice at the heart of the freljord, which is ofc the frostguard citadel and the howling abyss around it, is melting and my thought was that Lissandras dark ice is losing its power( whoch wouldnt make sense) but then you clarified that in fact lissandra sealed the watchers with a loophole for their return... So the loophole is the dark ice melting and allowing them a path to come back... GREAT THOGUHTS THANKS :)
I think Lissandra is afraid of the power the Yetis have. Their power might be strong enough to permanently seal the watchers since they themselves were part of the sealing process. Thx for the love <3

: I was kinda surprised they mentioned Lissandra by name in the Nunu bio. Isn't she supposed to be disguised?
She is, and her disguised name IS Lissandra... i guess? She looks like different but she kept the name. No one knows her true name, they just call her Ice Witch. So, Lissandra is a safe name to have even if she's disguised.
: I think the gem willump had was a world rune and it fused with nunu because it seems as when nunu got closer willumps appearance changed. That’s probably why Lissandra was so interested in the yetis.
I'm totally on board with that. Wonder if Ryze is on board with Nunu carrying it... probably better him than Lissandra xD. Though i would looove to see a World Rune-charged Lissandra in action!
Sharjo (EUW)
: Things are setup pretty nicely for a Freljordian conflict in the future; Watchers on the way back, but there's still powers in place to best them, just long forgotten and hidden away, namely the demigods and the yeti. Will be interesting to see how things progress from here, since Volibear's still pretty active and by extension word of Ornn's probably gonna spread. Wonder if Ashe has met Nunu and Willump yet.
Not to mention that the Watchers are linked to the Void, judging by the added lore of the new Map. Wonder if Lissandra's ice magic is a kind of corrupted Void energy. That would mean that the Iceborn were all tainted in some way by the Void.
gerbe (NA)
: You forgot to talk about Nunu and his mother’s magic and how Nunu is going to have to save the Freljord.
Ah, as for Nunu and his mom i think they weren't really magic. He only rallied some elkyr (elk-like things i imagine) with a song that might have soothed them. Unlike Sona, his instrument had no power until he was granted the power of the Yeti. Now, the story says he can basically shape the world with his imagination now that he has the gift Willump gave him and this could be crucial to saving Freljord. I believe he could use this power to perhaps prolong the Watcher's prison or simply to cas them out of Runeterra for good. Whatever Riot decides I'm sure it's gonna rock.
: The point 1 could be an exaggeration... those are legends anyways.
Totally, however she could be adding to the cold climate with her powers or could at least be in some way linked to the true ice that is a staple of the Freljord. Every other region has snow from time to time, but the Freljord is always frozen.
Pale Mask (EUW)
: The Frostguard serve Lissandra because she's impersonating her descendants. They're under the illusion that they're serving their queen. They're still normal people, just deceived, and probably dislike the Ice Witch as much as other Freljordians. Ryze also hints at the Watchers' return, and so does Swain. They'll be here soon. I'm interested in seeing what they can do.
I do think she has them under some sort of spell, if you see her teaser when she was about to be released you can see in one image her illusion form and the normal form of her followers, but in the next scene her followers are shown all crazy looking with ice in their eyes. Buuuut, i could totally see them as just regular deceived guys.

: Isn't it pretty much confirmed that Darkin are naturally sinister beings, just like the demons? As long as I know their only goal is to create grief and pain in the world.
Well we still don't know all that much about the Darkin. Riot said they would enlighten us soon...
: Sliding Scale of Champion Morality
Before i get to my point just wanna say, awesome work on the list. Riot has a tendency to like making layerd champs so they can be more relateable even if they seem evil at first, so categorizing all of them couldn't have been easy. The only 2 things i disagree with are with Bard and Taric. Bard only appears in Runeterra when something threatens existance, meaning he wants to keep the world in balance. As for Taric, he pretty much only protects beautiful things. If he were to see a rare and beautiful flower in danger and a village being attacked, he'd choose to protect the former.

Either way, it doesn't sound like something Lissandra would do... if that's even her. Remember, this is not Lissandra of modern day. Nor is it an accurate presentation of her motives. It is a story distilled by centuries of re-tellings. There are grains of truth here, they require a lot of work to get at though. I'm glad you have questions. It means the stories are working.
I hope we will get some solid history facts about the three sisters soon, at least enough to be able to know more about Lissandra, the sister that lived. Maybe in Ornn's bio?

Either way, it doesn't sound like something Lissandra would do... if that's even her. Maybe lissandra knew about magic making things weaker. So she basically put a timed seal on the bridge so she can gain her sisters trust which lets her kill them without much issue. And since the bridge will eventually break shes made it so that when the watchers return there would be no other iceborn to oppose them (besides braum and his troll door).
That really sounds like Lissandra. But I have no idea when this was. Maybe it was before she was corrupted. Maybe she honestly wanted to help.
GreenLore (EUW)
: Is she a member of the frostguard? Or does she belong to a tribe that isn't part of the big 3?
Probably a descendant of the dudes that lived below Ornn's mountain, since they were never cold nor too hot, and at the end of the story, the girl wasn't cold even though she was barefoot.

: Ornn Short Story: The Lost Tales of Ornn
There's a part of this story I don't really understand. It's about the Three Sisters. If i got it right (and i think i probably didn't) the first sister was Serylda (fierceness and war, the Winter's claw is like that), the second was Avarosa (hope and wisdom, same for her clan) and the third was Lissandra (magic). Why would Lissandra, the third sister, seal the creatures they were fighting (the watchers) with her magic if she worships them? : yes she clearly needs an update and i think soraka will move to mt. targon too and will leave ionia. Lastly, i think her lore retcon will come along with pantheon VGU which will come soon i think (maybe next year)
She'd fit in great as a spirit, like Kindred or Bard. She could be life itself, or smth like that.
Hipercsiga (EUNE)
: Please Rework Soraka's Lore
She's the healer of League, she is in dire need of a good VU and a lore update... but Riot hasn't even mentioned wanting to work on her.
: Who's a better blacksmith? Ornn or pre-donkey Doran?
Doran made Wukongs staff, but i'm gonna bet Ornn could do much better. I mean, the dude's a Demi-god!
Fefnil (EUW)
: Ornn and Braum
The door was most likely made by Ornn. It guarded treasure and gold, but could have been just put there by LIssandra after she cursed the place. Maybe it was Ornns once? Or maybe Lissandra somehow made him make the door for some reason. Either way, i think they know of each other, but Braum seems a bit younger. If i remember correctly, Ornns tales were the oldest in Freljord.
: So, did Ornn fight Lissandra?
I wouldn't really say Ornn fighting Lissandra is bland. In fact, it's pretty awesome if you think about it. Lissandra is known as the legendary Ice Witch, and pretty much everyone in Freljord is scared of her, and for good reason! In the story, she's really strong and was the reason for a lot of misfortune that struck the people of Freljord. However if he's a Demi-god, he must be even older than Lissandra or her sisters. He might have fought The Watchers or some ancient evil most likely. In any case, we still don't know for sure who he fought, could even be Teemo :P
Birbonius (EUW)
: Since you didn't mention him,i understand you think as {{champion:136}} as a Full God,am i right?
Well, i think someone from riot stated that Aurelion wasn't really god material, but something else. He isn't omniscient, omnipotent, or even immortal. He's probably closer to Bard or Kindred, rather than being a god.
: How many other Demi-Gods are there in League?
We don't know much about **_gods_** in the League universe. Demi-gods are either their children or individuals with power similar yet not as powerful as gods. If Illaois god is truly a god, it could mean that there are others like it. Perhaps in the Freljord, and Ornn could be one of its descendants.

: Well that is one way to see it. I think that the deal pretty much helped both sides, the council got a good killer, while jhin got out of his prison and is now even allowed to do what he loves to do. However it is rather cruel of them to use Jhin out of all people as an assassin,I mean he is quite the psychopath and the fact that they use a criminal implies that he'll be used for "inofficial" assassinations, killing people who are a problem for the council, but who didn't actually do anything forbidden.
It actually gives us some insight into Ionia. It either means the people in charge are in fact quite corrupt, or simply ready to maintain the peace and keep Ionia's influence strong by any means necessary.
Sharjo (EUW)
: Jhin's VO is here!
His VO is awesome.... but it makes me a bit sad ;-; What happened to him to make him what he is now? "Until they stop me, I will keep going." "There is nothing for me but this." I might be looking into it a bit too deep, but i just see him as someone who's been either hurt or misguided, unloved, misunderstood ;-;
GreenLore (EUW)

The teaser images and the video show artistic pieces, trees, flowers, smoke, butterflies, crystals, light. But all these things have been used as a metaphor, if you will. I think rain is beautiful. Most people (what what I've observed) would consider a bright sunny day more beautiful. I don't "see the sunshine" in the rain; it's the rain itself and the distinct properties and emotions it provokes that make me think it's beautiful. That's where the disconnect seems to happen. I think Riot should have done it more in the style of the "meet the Pyro" video from TF2, with Jhin murdering others, but not being tense or with a cruel demeanor, but rather one of almost tenderness, perhaps while seeing the terror in the eyes of those knowing they face their certain death. I have a hard time believing nobody at Riot who worked on the previews and such would have had no idea how to create a trailer that communicates that Jhin finds beauty in death. It would have to be much more character-focused than the one actually made, but it's definitely feasible. It's possible Jhin actually does see these things but from what I've seen it looks like Riot has conveyed fairly well that Jhin is deliberate in what he does, and not being aware that the the painting or sculpture an artist has created is actually just a misformed stone or another type of object entirely doesn't seem possible.
I'll just expand a bit on that "these are the things Jhin sees when he kills someone". We weren't shown Jhin killing others with graceful movements or an expression of joy or serenity because we were put in his perspective in first person, not third person. In the end of the video teaser you can clearly hear him panting in excitement, seeing his work and enjoying it. He sees beauty in death, in a perfectly made kill, in the final moments of his prey's lives, something, for instance, I would not be able to see. I would only see pain and sorrow, and it only matters to him that he sees the beauty. And i believe the point isn't that his artwork should be seen by all, he creates it only for himself. So far, there isn't anything leading me to believe he is making others "perfect" for the sake of anyone but himself. Perhaps he wants to make others have the same view he does, but, only time will tell, i suppose! -Side note, i love the rain too :D

Absolutely. Plus, eye see what you did there ^^
: Defending Jhin
I don't really think the advertisers did a bad job at showing what Jhin is all about. The teaser images and the video show artistic pieces, trees, flowers, smoke, butterflies, crystals, light. But all these things have been used as a metaphor, if you will. It shows us what Jhin sees when he kills. The beauty he sees when someone dies by his hand. In fact, the guys at Riot did a great job at making and advertising him, its just that everyone has a different view of things, that's all :P
: Is Jhin from Ionia, Bilgewater, Piltover, Demacia or is him an independent champion?
My bet is he's from Demacia. His clothing looks a lot like something a Demacian would wear, specifically the color pallet consisting of white, gold and red. He also has some rose elements on his garbs and gun. But honestly, i'm waiting for the VO, that might shed some light on his background ^^
GenoXx (NA)
: Back to the Zaun Piltvoer mystery! Is Jhin C?
Until we hear his VO or learn more about his lore, we won't know for sure. But i don't think he's C. Cait's lore says he's a cat burglar, and that he always leaves a card. So far, we know he's a marksmen/sniper, and that he kills with the intention of making people perfect, beautiful, meaning that stealing and breaking into places just isn't his thing. Additionally, he has no letter C anywhere on his body or splash art, and there's no card. The only way he could be C is if Riot updated her lore and changed some of the details concerning C himself. But only time will tell i guess :P

: Ah, did you mean you "don't" think? Also, I'm thinking it would be a fantasy or something that didn't really happen. The inky fog that persists in each of the teasers leads me to believe it's not actually real.
Oopsie! Thanks for the heads up xD! Yeah, i really don't think its real. I mean, we'd at least get a notification in game like Gangplank got when he died if it did happen :P
Sharjo (EUW)
: He thinks they're flawed and that he can make them perfect. By killing them most likely. The exact reasons why will likely be expanded on by Jhin himself once we get a glance at his VO.
Can't wait for his VO! He seems like a total nutcase xD. In a good way, i mean!

Would be interesting if Jhin turned out to be a former member of the same order Lucian is from. Maybe he went mad for some reason? Or maybe he and Lucian had the same blacksmith >.>

: The Fate of the Four?
Not a Rioter, and i can only speculate, but i don't think they're really dead or have any meaningful consequences on them. Who knows if that even happened? It could just all have been his fantasy, killing The Maven of Strings, the Master of Shadows, the Piltover Enforcer and the Might of Demacia. Maybe that dream of his brought him to the Fields of Justice? But we'll know for sure in a week or less probably :P
: Could it be? An evil Demacian :D
That would work wonders for the Lore diversity. Demacia isn't just a place where all the good guys are at! Someone's gotta fight against all that order! ^^
: A brother of hers? Maybe cast aside by the family because he was defectious, unworthy of the name. Like in Sparta, at least according to the movie '300', where they'd get rid of the weak and such. So maybe another facet to Demacian culture.
He could also be her uncle, or maybe a distant relative. The noble houses tend to make a lot of family bonds. Who knows :P
Ralanr (NA)
: If we go buy these pictures, I have to disagree on relations due to this being his non-base skin (I believe he is meant to wear a hood). But Demacia makes sense considering how they are obsessed with order. Though I'm willing to bet that we won't be told where he is from.
Of course they'll tell us where he's from. We know where every champ came from... excepet for the Darkin... and Tahm... And Kindred... you get the point.
Niggest (NA)
: Jhin outfit reminds me a bit of Fiora's.
Very good point. His fashion does look a lot like it's Demacian. Maybe he's from Demacia or is currently residing there?
: What or who is Evelynn?
Evelynn has always been a curiosity of mine. She's an old champion with outdate lore and visuals/gameplay. Lorewise, we know nothing! Riot is currently (hopefuly) thinking the same thing: "Who is she? What makes her unique? What can we do with her to make her feel awesome?". Until she gets some much needed attention, we can't know for sure where she's headed. Sry if that didn't help much :/
: The most fun champion voice overs
Kindred and the new Poppy. Lamb's voice is just enchanting, and Poppy's voice is adorable ^^
HigeR (NA)
: yes!! :D I'm hyped to see this guy's skillset!
Hopefully, we should be seeing a reveal or at least a more substantial teaser soon, since Vi's teaser just went live!
: DeadEye; Death or Emancipation?
Something's bugging me. If this new champion is after what lies in the minds and hearts of others, and i'm really loving this idea, why have these champions been chosen specifically? Why haven't they chosen any of the other champions? I mean, tehnically speaking, every champion (excluding those who are not sentient) have some hidden truth within them that they either know of or choose not to acknowledge. Is there something more that connects these 4?
HigeR (NA)
: My theory on Jhin
An elementalist sounds awesome. I suppose it could fit into a marksman category, maybe switching stances like udyr? Having different fighting styles depending on what element he's using, like having long range in one, aoe damage in the other or something like that.
