: I have a question! Renekton went insane and lost his purpose after being sealed with xerath for so long. Could he be considered a Darkin in some way?
Darkin are just ascended who were: 1. using blood magic to craft their bodies 2. were causing conflicts after fall of shurima 3. wanted to start war with targon 4. (most important currently) got sealed away in their weapons Soo, no, renekton isnt darkin, he is just a regular ascended, but batshit crazy.

im dissapointed anyway. {{summoner:3}}
: I really don't understand peoples' need for a Xerath VU. His design and his voice lines are fine? I mean, he's a blue energy man trapped in the remnants of a sarcophagus. What could you really even do to his design without changing it completely? Also all of his old lines still makes sense; they're mainly him bragging about his power and his superiority, which seems perfectly appropriate to me. Also, Azir is gathering people to his capital, trying to reestablish his empire. He needs people to fill in all the old empty homes and buildings, restart the city's economic and social structures, probably hire some architects to redesign some of the ancient architecture where need be.

He needs people to fill in all the old empty homes and buildings, restart the city's economic and social structures, probably hire some architects to redesign some of the ancient architecture where need be. Azir is doing fine rebuilding city on his own, Sivir told us that. He can recreate past events and full architectonic state of edviorment from what we know. All what people know it that "Falcon Father offers shelter" - yeah, thats... a lot of info if you ask me. Heck! even people in Echoes in the Stone weren't sure what was happening and were to scared to get inside the capital, soo Azir is doing great right now! Or at least was last time we heard anything indirectly about him... Xerath on the other hand: Visual update would include animation updates and correcting his core/body animation soo it wouldnt look like minecraft alpha water, also actualy colloring sarcophagus on the inside. Making him look less awkward and lazily done in general. Voice: That's the problem. Everyone thinks he is this glowing magic boi who is powerhungry and thinks he is soo cool and shit. See, Xerath got into politics and is an emperor as well - of Nerimazeth - city with pretty dark history and also - his birthplace. He tried to gather Nasus under his banners in Ouroboros (in story Nasus makes him look like a dick with his perspective again by complitely avoiding telling what Raiders generally do for living but k). He was rebuilding the place and honestly what would be the point of his taunt: "You are Emperor of wasteland Azir" if he was rulling wasteland himself? Xerath is smart and calculating, not the type of person who just goes around and throws sassy comments at people and goes in when unsure: "You think i cant see whats happening with your body?"- Bloodline: he literally spared Nasus's life there. He doesnt want to anihilate. Its not his goal to show off. He want's to end what he started and do things right and current voice lines simply dont depict that. He, indeed, is hiper powerfull but thats not his main motive to be. His motives are get rid of the danger, which is Azir who is unlikely to accept his apology (yes, he regreted what he did) and freeing himself. Also, everyone's quotes are just dancing around him, avoiding the mention(?) I cant believe that Aurelion has nothing to say about him. All other ascended got taunts and he - the special snowflake - not a single word? Game changer went by undetected. Literally! Edit: Nerimazeth got demolished by Sunborn right after what he did to Azir in retaliation. Than Darkins were born from lack of leadership. How would they react? Would they even know it was him? Did Nasus spread the information on what even happened? Generally all champions from 2014 shurima update need some sort of minor story update placing all new plots and multiple point views soo we can get a bigger picture. Everyone is a MESS.

: Thx my friend .. I read it and it answers half of the question :D .. it answers that Sivir was injured not from Cassiopea .. but we don't know the true reason and the gap between that and Xerath who looks like he just out of the tomb and looking for Azir and he meets Nasus in Vakoura where Taliyah is back and saving Sivir .. {{champion:101}} {{champion:75}} 🤔

He is not going to headbutt Azir just like that - guy is too smart for that. He wants to get rid of Azir's dynasty by killing his descendants (bc i doubt Ascendants can have kids, wouldnt mind if they could tho). Xerath, just like Nasus, felt royal blood in Vekoura (apparently its common ability to Ascended). Royal is his least favourite type of blood at this point, therefore he set off to get rid of it once and for all.
: Nerimazeth?
I would really love to see how Xerath is doing... and also see his visual and sound update. His quotes, except of these from shurima event and taunts, are 5 years outdated. :,/ Also what the hell is Azir doing in this capital?? Noone except of sivir ever saw him.
: How do you read the lore?
Once everyone in Runeterra was living in harmony (since there were Sunborn to fight off the Void). Everything got fcked up when Azir died and Shurima fell. XD Good place to start. {{champion:101}}

No {{champion:101}}. : Champions That Need Visual Updates
{{champion:101}} This guy looks as if you've put minecraft flowing water in 2D inside. Also, his sarcophagus doeant even have texture inside what is very visible and lazy. :/ Shurima 2014 update changed his lore, later darkin changed some stuff too but even tho this guy is basicaly the reason everything in Runeterra is how it is currently, his quotes still reffer to 2010-2013 lore. Like- c'mon! Totally needs and deserves visual and sound update! Or at least corrections! {{sticker:sg-ahri-1}}
: WHAT THE DARKIN ARE LOYAL TO AZIR?!
To gain Darkin' approval Azir would have to AT LEAST free them from their misery by giving them their glory back or just stable bodies that wouldn't rott like aatrox's soo they wouldn't be fixated on constantly, desperately fighting and draining life to keep themselves lonng enaugh to not return back to suffocation inside their weapons. Currently they are soo scared that I doubt they can think straight.

: In one of the recent stories Riot released along with the other stories about Shurima, {{champion:75}}' story says that " After the fall of the empire, he went into self-imposed exile, becoming little more than a legend. Now that the ancient city of Shurima has risen once more, he has returned, determined to ensure it never falls again." And at the end of the Ouroboros story, {{champion:75}} says “Tell your ‘emperor’ his cycle nears its end.” What does this mean?? Is {{champion:75}} returning to the newly risen Shurima city?? I am confused.

And at the end of the Ouroboros story, {{champion:75}} says “Tell your ‘emperor’ his cycle nears its end.” What does this mean?? Is {{champion:75}} returning to the newly risen Shurima city?? I am confused. Raiders from Ouroboros were from Nerizameth - city which Xerath chose to be **his** capital in oposition to Azir's original capital. These people call Xerath emperor, soo Nasus tells them to tell Xerath nicely that he is not going to be an emperor as long as he is alive, basicaly.
: Who is stronger RIGHT NOW in the PRESENT. Between Xerath, Azir, Nasus, Renekton, Amumu, Sivir, Skarner, or Rammus who has, potentially, the MOST power in Shurima?
> [{quoted}](name=Nechronyx,realm=NA,application-id=6kFXY1kR,discussion-id=HAPgkkIY,comment-id=00cc,timestamp=2016-05-17T07:00:24.525+0000) > > Who is stronger RIGHT NOW in the PRESENT. Between Xerath, Azir, Nasus, Renekton, Amumu, Sivir, Skarner, or Rammus who has, potentially, the MOST power in Shurima? I would say that: 1.Xerath - needed to be wrestled by 2 Ascended to be just captured, not even defeated. His power is told to grow with time. He mastered (as a mortal) several different types of magic like lightning and mind control. Also, doesn't have a physical form. He could kill Nasus in story "Bloodline", but spared him. 2.Azir - he is freshly born Ascended and from what we can deduct from Nasus, the longer Ascended is 'inactive' they grow weaker, and also somehow his royal bloodline gives him absolute control over the sands which he can use to recteate past events, reconstruct buildings and summon puppet-like army soo basicaly Shurima is **his** playground. 3.Nasus - he is really old and himself thinks that his glory passed long time ago but still he throws and cuts mortals just like he Qs you in late game with 1000 stacks Renekton - we have no idea if he is on the same level that Nasus, only that when he came out of the tomb he was a weak mess, but he regains strength rather quickly. 4.Sivir - just a normal human, except she has some ot this special,sweet Azir's blood, but she cant really use it for anything else than getting oxygen from lungs to the rest of the body rn. :/ But as for human standards, she is pretty badass. Amumu - he isnt a fighter or anything but since his touch is deadly he is a mortal threat to any, well, mortal. Don't know if the curse does anything to beings other than mortals since we had only situation of human being touched by him. Rammus - he is a batman of Shurima, noone really knows what he is therefrore its hard to tell what his power really is, but he is for sure stronger and faster than humans. Srkarner - I will be honest with you: I know nothing about him, never read his lore. ._.
: But couldn't he have explained it all to Azir after Azir was ascended and hopefully had his long time friend help him out?
> [{quoted}](name=Cookie777,realm=NA,application-id=6kFXY1kR,discussion-id=HAPgkkIY,comment-id=000a0000000400000000,timestamp=2016-05-16T17:10:55.622+0000) > > But couldn't he have explained it all to Azir after Azir was ascended and hopefully had his long time friend help him out? Xerath's bio: _"In time Xerath’s perseverance paid off, and Azir announced he would undertake the Ascension ritual, that he had earned the right to stand alongside Nasus and Renekton as an Ascended being. **The Sun Priests protested, but such was Azir’s hubris that he ordered them to comply on pain of torture and death**."_ In game login screen tip: _"In Shurima, those who **survived** a failed Ascension ritual are known as the Baccai, who often are twisted and malformed."_ Soo there was not only a possibility of Azir becoming a Baccai but also not surviving at all. That wouldn't end well.
: But from what I understood from the lore was that Azir did free Xerath right before he was supposed to become ascended. Did Xerath not care? Did he just have so much hatred pent up that it didn't matter?
> [{quoted}](name=Cookie777,realm=NA,application-id=6kFXY1kR,discussion-id=HAPgkkIY,comment-id=000a00000006,timestamp=2016-05-16T17:09:26.000+0000) > > But from what I understood from the lore was that Azir did free Xerath right before he was supposed to become ascended. Did Xerath not care? Did he just have so much hatred pent up that it didn't matter? I think that none of this was the reasoning. Right after pushing Azir off, he regreted it. Quote from Xerath's bio: _"With a roar of anger and grief combined, Xerath blasted Azir from his place on the dais, watching through tears as his former friend burned to ash."_ His plans were already in motion soo probably if he didn't do what he did Azir would become a baccai (unsuccesfull ascended) if he allowed him to go on, since sun priests were against his ascension because azir wasnt ready, or Xerath would have to admit to his triatorous plans what would probably end with death for him. Not saying that the thing he did was moral, of course (Rito pls stop deleting all my xerath comments, thank you.) :,/

: So what happens when Aatrox finds out Azir is alive?
It's either that Azir helps Darkins stabilize their bodies or even return to their old glorious forms and hopefully they will help with the void and other things, **or** they will just destroy him and everything he stands for because its in rheir way. :/
SSmotzer (NA)
: Aatrox is a completely different personality than the man who was chosen to Ascend and defend Shurima. All of his humanity was ripped out of him and was allowed to die, when his heart was ripped out and the Void and Ascended essence was locked away in a sword. Like, his soul left his body and is in whatever afterlife is in LoL, but his body is being driven around by an angry void creature.

Soul is YOU. Soul has a body. Soul is concious. The only thing Aatrox has IS his soul. He has problem with finfing a body that wouldnt rott tho.
: Nerizameth, Want to see a more oppressive Shuriman city built off of the back of slave labor as contrast for the Shuriman Capital
> [{quoted}](name=mrmeddyman,realm=NA,application-id=6kFXY1kR,discussion-id=3BMUW5gO,comment-id=000c,timestamp=2019-03-11T19:45:20.884+0000) > > Nerizameth, Want to see a more oppressive Shuriman city built off of the back of slave labor as contrast for the Shuriman Capital It kind of is Capital right now- there are two capitals technicaly speaking. "Real" and "Fake". **"Uoroboros" shortstory quote:** _“Emperor Xerath sends offerings. We are to be your servants. He welcomes you to his new capital at Nerimazeth.”_ Power is illusion. The ruler is who people choose to be one, not somebody of what you call 'royal blood', therefore Xerath, as person chosen by some people is technicaly speaking, a leader on specific teritory and grows from there in oposition to Azir, while Azir is God knows where exacly, doing God knows what and is generaly untrusted by population of shurimians like Sivir, Taliyah and other citizens. Hell even Nasus has no idea what Azir is doing with his life and is on Azirs side out of pure spite! Because he hates and fears Xerath! **"Bloodline" story quote:** _“What does Azir want with her?” asked Taliyah. “And what is he going to do now that he’s back? Does he want to make us slaves?” “She asks a lot of questions,” said Sivir. Nasus hesitated before answering. “In truth, I do not know what Azir plans. That he will stand against Xerath is enough for me. Now you can both meekly bare your necks, or you can live to fight another day.”_ Thats kind of immoral of Nasus(?). At least i get this impression. He acknowledges: "Oh shit. I really fucked up bad and Im scared of that dude. The other one might be warlord and slavery enforcer (what we players know isnt true, at least second part of the statement, but in the universe onone knows except of Xerath) but if he will stand with me against the guy who apparently is doing pretty well and wanted to forgive me for wrecking him mentaly, im okay with it since im badass God warrior and my status will stay untouched." And Xerath, reminding first quote, was eager to forgive Nasus (who tehnicaly Burried Him Alive trapping him in a coffin without a single hesitation when Xerath wasnt stated to be agressive at all and later imprisoned him in magicaly sealed tomb in which he was rotting in the darkness and silence for millenia and almost lost his mind from stumiuli defficency) and accept him in his new organised society in Nerizameth. What kind of leadership is that what Azir represents? Curently Xerath is more of a emperor with his acolites and capital. He is at least doing something. Interacting with outside world, bringing people together, while "real" capital has ghostlike hidden "emperor" and is attracting people mostly beacuse WATER OMG WATER!

He also hijacked a proper ritual at the last moment where success was granted 100%. Also he had it rigged so it would be HIS ritual. Not Azir's in the first place. What a dick. lol

Azir needed them to keep empire going. He was using him his whole life to keep his ass safe from his own father and at some point even complitely forgot about his promise to Xerath. Just before Ascension he has let them go since slaves were useless to him with power of ascended. Ouch! What a dick!{{champion:268}}
