I won't be able to get through all of the points you've made but they're all very remarkable. The biggest gamble I want to suggest is the shift from expecting Diana to get her AS steroid from her spell cast rotation to just getting her to a point where she naturally grows into a fast-attacking champion. I tried putting that steroid elsewhere on the kit but it felt like it was extra buffs when trying to instead give the power through Q and the base. I do love a lot of your suggestions and will try to see if I can put some of them in to test.

Though I'm not a Diana player (yet) and I think I understandd a bit what you try to accomplish with these changes, I would like to ask if you feel there are enough items for Diana to support this shift to AS. : While I agree, that the first 17-20 Minutes are extremely boring as Kayle I don't think the rework is completely bad. She has a "weak early" but if don't abuse her, she + klepto are going to punish you for not killing her the moment she isn't under her turret. I like the new kayle but I think her lvl 6 and lvl 11 passive powers should be switched. The ranged gives you more trading potencial but your wave clear still sucks hard so you can get shoved in but actually defend yourself properly in lane.

: damage has never been the problem. tanks have always won in the long run. its champs that make their entire team unapproachable -- i.e., veigar, janna, zyra, and cass. you have to have a hardcore ungabunga comp full of heavy dive to make any headway, and then its a 50/50 whether or not youre going to actually win or just snowball the game in the oppositions favor. the worst part about having to face teams full of that bullshit wasn't that you get poked down -- its that you get poked down, and essentially dont even get to play the game. there is zero avenue of approach against veigar playing safe. its the most boring fucking shit ever. you basically just sit there for 15 minutes and lose in most cases without ever even engaging the opponent. thats why aram was trash, and its why veigar was double banned in half the games. other than him and some of the other more oppressive zoning champs, there was a good mix of tank bans (maokai, and sion) and even a fair amount of melee dps (yi was common ban in my games)

Being squishy and susceptible to CC is not a counterplay to her? I do agree that if they decide to buff her, they should be really careful not to overdo it. Make some specific trade-offs.

Just separate the pro scene with the average player, with 2 servers. That way one won't affect the other. One is for show and the other is for home play. They don't have to be the same, only to have common based ground.

My problem is not so much with the one-shot instakilled AP Malhite tbh It's that HE's ALSO TANKY! This bullshit happens very often in ARAM and it's quite frustrating.
: To add to your points. My main issue with changes to items and champions over the past 5+ years is that it **feels** that everything just has too much front loaded damage. Specifically base damage on abilities on tanks, supports and juggernauts. In season 1-2 for the most part, it felt like you were super tanky, but hit like a wet noodle when you built tank items. On the flip side, you were destroyed instantly due to being squishy if you built glass canon. This forced you to build for that specific match you were in and there was always a trade-off with building more damage, and that is that you would die a lot easier. Ultimately, I'd prefer base damages being lowered across the board in favor of an increase in AP & AD ratios across the board. This way you have the choice of being squishy, but dealing a ton of damage, or being tanky to soak damage & peel, but not really assassinating anyone. Right now on current patch, top lane Malphite can just ult bottom after teleporting in and just double kill the enemy bottom lane with relative ease. Even when building no offensive items or masteries, his base damage is just so high, he automatically nukes any ADC or support unless they are Alistar.
^^this right here I also hate the other side of the coin. When non-tanky champions, tank a lot while having no tank items and deal damage to you while being hyper mobile. AKA IRELIA! This thing can take damage like a boss while dealing damage when diving, cripple you with ult and E, have fast basic attacks, tank extra with W and heal from Q. Only way to favorably trade with her is when she misses E at least for me. It's not that I haven't won games against fed Irelias; it's that she's broken and not from her numbers. Best part... She's not the only champ that can do that.

: Aren't the two tied up together? By making CC last for shorter periods, they had to push damage to increase the likelihood that you could actually do anything in the time. To fix it, they'd have to either tackle both at once (which is a lot of levers to handle) or take turns incrementally scaling both back
I wouldn't mind them taking turns to incrementally scale them both back. I don't believe anyone likes to be perma-CCed nor getting oneshot from nowhere.

Wait, If you are to tone down high damage output (based on a previous post), then I don't feel these changes will be needed in some champs. Rammus' changes and Kench's W changes in particular and maybe Leona's E change as well. The thing is if you decrease damage and maintain survivability while increasing dmg on tanks, then the tank meta will return. I don't mind having it, but it should be based off how well tanks can survive and battle over time not about easily killing squishy champs while tanking turrets.

: It's a consideration to make on a case by case basis, honestly. Removing DFG from the shop (though I wasn't on the team years ago when that decision was made) does seem like the right call to me. As to Zephyr, it seems like it wasn't earning its place in the shop, and that's a very similar space for Ohmwrecker and Manamune. If Zephyr were still in the game today, I'm not sure there would be a good reason to remove it and not Ohmwrecker, for example. That said, we wouldn't really gain a whole lot by reintroducing it either. The difference to me between Zephyr and Manamune is perhaps that the fantasy behind Manamune is a lot more compelling and defined, perhaps, but that's a pretty subjective assessment.
How about enhance the Manamune fantasy then? I would assume the fantasy is for Spellslingers-BattleMages? The AP itemization (imo) missed to introduce items for this niche (mostly for BattleMages <3). You feel the itemization for BattleMages is better suited to change/enhance with Fighter itemization changes? (has some logic)
