The biggest difference between the 2 aside from the fact that Caits traps are untargetable is that she can put them from range while heimerdinger needs to be close to the place he wants to put his turrets. UHHHHHHHHH Heimer turrets auto target Champions. All the time, not just on placement. This is my biggest issue with him.
They auto target them only if nobody else is near the turrets, that includes creeps. If you Basic Attack them once you will mark them thus even if there are creeps near the turrets will ignore the creep wave and focus on the marked target.

: That is not what makes Sona difficult. You are right, mechanically she is among the easiest supports since her only skillshot is crescendo (which gets harder to hit as your opponents being to anticipate it in higher ranks of play). In exchange? She is arguably the least forgiving support. Sona has just about nothing to get caught out of a bad situation between little mobility, no hard CC til 6, and being the squishiest support. If she gets caught in a gank, she is dead if she doesn't have flash unless you misplay hard. Other supports like Thresh, Janna, and Nami have a lot more options if they get caught on the wrong foot. Additionally, Sona is one of the harder supports to position with. To be a threat, you need to be inside that Q range constantly and you need to go up front if you want to land a good crescendo without flash. Plus, she benefits her teammates (even the front line) by standing near them... moreso than most other supports. She can't stand 20 ft away from the fight like Janna, Soraka or Nami ot be effective. Yet she doesn't have the CC or resilience to front line like Alistar or Leona.
I think Soraka is more Squishy than Sona since she cant heal herself with W unless you hit with Q and Sona can heal+Shield herself with W.

There is counterplay to him, and can be annoying if you don't know how to (not to say I'm perfect playing against him). But the reason I speak up against these kinds of posts is that they are SO OLD. These kinds of posts might be old but nobody can deny the fact that Yasuos Kit is bloated with everything save heal. He has: 1)Shield. 2)Unlimited Dash(gap closer or escape) at a seriously low CD. 3)Knock-Up(2 versions, 1 is range and 1 is close range). 4)Double-Crit Chance. 5)CC in the form of his Tornado(both versions) and his Ultimate. 6)Wind-wall which renders almost all champions that have skill-shots useless against him.(unless its {{champion:161}} since his Void Rift(W) attacks from below the ground)

: Don't bring your dislikes of a character into balance discussion, there is no place for that here. As for her being freelo, you are likely facing enemies who don't know what they're doing. I mean, I can see why she's good as a warden, with all the people picking dash-heavy champs suddenly getting shut down and destroyed when they try to dash on your carry, but come on, that's her job. As for Taric, I freaking love new Taric, and he's my go to support. He is only broken when your W partner follows up, when they don't you feel like you wasted a W cast, but when you have somebody that synergizes with your spells it is glorius. As for abusing champs to climb, good luck when they get nerfed and you're stuck with using lower-elo tactics that you never developed because you were busy abusing "broken" champs.
: Rylai plays a really huge part in his build and cutting down its stats like that makes Aurelion just far easier to kill because he can't time his skills better in order to adapt, his damage is on a fixed time span and his only choice of high damage window is his ultimate while both Karthus and morde can choose when to allign all their skills in order to get the enemy poked and then finish him/her. Aurelion has to wait for stars which leaves the enemy enugh space and time to react because he perfectly knows when he is going to get hurt and how much.
There's also the fact that any hard CC will disable Aurelion Sols Stars and put them on cooldown of 3 seconds.

: It's not unwarranted though. He's not overpowered, I openly agree with you there, but he's still an awful champion to play against because his entire kit is built around nullifying things you do. I'm not trying to complain that he's OP, so please don't misinterpret this, but it *feels* really bad to have half of your armor ignored by his ult. It's annoying that he gets 100% crit chance so easy, even if it does do less damage than normal. It feels unfair that he essentially gets two ultimates and two passives. He may be balanced as far as power is concerned, but he's just miserable to play against, which is why everyone hates him.

The Old Xin Zhao with Crit Build was broken. You dont want that to come back because it did not matter if you went full tank you would still die against a Xin.

: Some CS is expected. Normally you wouldn't get very much and it should come pretty naturally to get S-grade CS by holding waves while the carry isn't there or nabbing last hits the ADC was going to miss, but some Support champs clear waves really well so might get quite a bit in longer matches. If you have no CS as a Support you're actually missing free gold that nobody got.
You are saying that it is easy to do that. If i get some CS while my adc isnt near the lane he/she goes ballistic and starts cussing me. I mean do they seriously have to go nuts over me getting 2-5 CS when they are not even near? I do get CS if i use {{item:3401}}.

Heimerdinger seems to be the best comparison for Caitlyns traps, as he also places a unit on the ground. But he can only have a maximum of 3 charges at maximum level and his turrets are destroyable and can be moved by different abilites, while Caitlyn can already have 3 charges at level 1 and 5 at level 5 and her traps are not destroyable or moveable.

For Aurelion Rylai is a must. No matter if strong or weak Malzahar? He'd do better with Roa now Imo. His kit has nothing that could work better with slow. Pre-rework malz, when he had his %max hp pool, then yeah.. But now? Not really. --- But yea there will still be some champs that'd buy Rylai. Shame that Riot decided to crap on its most important stat, defenses (hp) for small amounts of mana.
Failed at all points...aside the Aurelion Sol one. Since day 1 Heimerdingers turret shot procced Rylai's slow. Rylais is BiS on Singed for reasons said by SAGAXWIKI. Malzahar needs Rylais so that he can maximize his voidlings thus indirecting increasing his damage.

Not gonna lie. Riot does not care about our feedback if they cant do small changes like giving Mordekaiser more HP+Movement speed to bring him in line with other bruisers/juggernauts. That said Pro Play should not be considered the full focus of all balance changes. Skill Level does not matter on such small changes. Reasoning= Mordekaiser is the only bruiser with less HP than Soraka at lvl 18 and she is a support.

: It's a close answer, but not the correct one. People want to be _playmakers._ Champions like Thresh and Blitzcrank and Leona and Nautilus get a lot more attention than other supports when they make plays because you easily see their impact, the way they affect the entire flow of a team's momentum. Champions like Bard and Braum and Alistair don't have to do damage to get attention, they do these flashy plays that gets the attention on them. What people want to be are playmakers, the kind of people that gets the casters to go crazy as the audience waits in anticipation to see just how far someone can take the game and stand out above both their teammates and their opponents. The problem is that a lot of supports can't really be seen to have an impact outside of their ultimates, so the potential of their ability to draw the crowd is limited. All of the champions I mentioned, they are supports who can make flashy plays... without their ultimate. There are a lot of passive supports who don't do anything too exciting _visually_, Soraka's heals aren't extraordinary outside of maybe a clutch heal, Janna doesn't have much visibly beyond her tornado, Sona isn't really being notable during a match unless her Q's are chunking the hp bars of squishies. The path to increasing the number of supports isn't as difficult as people believe it is, it's simply making every support having a VISIBLE impact in terms of gameplay, which means people will FEEL that they can not only make a difference, but also that one day, as a support they can have the crowds and the casters chanting and shouting their names. I believe the introduction of more active-use items for supports like Redemption is the first right step.
As an Soraka main i feel offended. What do you mean i got nothing aside from a clutch heal?! Are you saying Soraka got nothing but her heal which is on an 1.1 sec CD at max CDR but not an slow+HP regen(Q but can give the HP regen on ally by W) and Silence+Root(E if they stay during the whole duration) and Global Heal? Janna has slow/Shield/Tornado/AoE knock-back+Heal. Sona has based on her passive DMG boost/Damage reduction, Speed boost/Speed reduction, Heal+Shield and her Ultimate which is CC. If we go by play-makers the supports have higher potential on making plays than the rest of the champions. If the Alistar does a good initiate chances are the enemy team is dead. That's assuming his team follows up. If the jungler/top/mid/adc makes the initiate chances are they will die. That's assuming the enemy team catch's him alone and kill him.

Even then I had some lucky streaks where I was hitting games that were 4 v 5 and was winning nearly half of my games even while feeding. She still can't hang with anyone except beginner bots. It's really rough going, but she seems to be ok learning it the hard way like this.
To learn it the hard way you release her against other people. The bots is the easy way. That said i hope your niece learns to play LoL and get's at high MMR and have fun&good matches. +Kudos to you for teaching her :) and Good Luck to both.
