Oh, thats sound reasonable. Is flaming and trolling reviewed by people?
In theory it is, but in reality there is a huge amount of reports for flaming and trolling, so i don't know if they are all reviewed by a person.

: Maybe we'll see it if they leave level 2?
so only level 3 and above is displayed on profile? what about those that are level 1 or "dishonorable"?
Simurgh (NA)
: Hey, this is a good question, but we actually very intentionally did not include any sort of progress indicator for Honor levels. Here are a few reasons why: 1. We didn't want to anchor people on the "grind" to honor levels. By not having progress indicators, we wanted to root the reinforcement for being sportsmanlike on the feedback you get from other players (the honors), not any artificial motivation from being "close to the next level". 2. Our behind-the-scenes systems which determine honor level ups aren't simple. The types of calculations we do to determine if a player is ready to level up take into account their holistic behavior across many games, and don't lend themselves well to being surfaced in an "XP bar"-style system. Anything we surface here could also warp behavior around trying to "minmax" the most honor points, which really refocuses it away from the point of the Honor system - play good games and you'll make progress. 3. We wanted to have a few discrete levels in Honor, since bloating the number would make each feel less meaningful. However, we wanted players to progress over the course of a season or half-season, which means that progress to the next level would necessarily be fairly slow. We didn't think it would be a great experience to reinforce this through some progress indicator.
Another small question: Why can we not see another player's honor level? I see there is a place on their profile page labeled "Honor level", but it does not display their actual level.
: 1) Riot said that it will take weeks-months to level up in honor 2) Riot said that people who play more games will level up faster (Bob and Alice) 3) Honors are something you receive each game, therefore less games will result in less honors. 4) If a daily player is going to hit the next honor level in 2-4 weeks+, then a weekly player will hit the next honor level in 14-28 weeks. 5) League of Legends is becoming more and more competitive because the competitive players are the ones who invest more money and time into the game.
1) True 2) True 3) ??? - consistency isn't about games. 4) Exactly my point. Bob will still reach that point if he wishes to. 5) True but irrelevant, you cannot buy honor and just spamming games does not mean you will be honored. Being competitive doesn't mean you're a nice guy. You can spam games 24/7 just to rage at your teammates or /all chat.

: > get about the same amount of key fragments. but what about honor capsulas and just honor levels? Bob would be left out for most of the time {{sticker:zombie-nunu-bummed}}
If bob does not wish to play league he can only expect that much. Honor capsules are a reward for those who positively impact other's games. Alice is entitled to honor rewards becouse she has a bigger impact over the community. If bob would be allowed to reach honor lvl 5 easily, Alice would either grind it easily or have an unfair honor level growth.

It's not the scale that matters, it's the point... Plus being a "bitch" in one game will not result in a penalty, unless you've been really really toxic. If you do get a penalty, it would be unfair for you to receive the same rewards as those with a flawless record.
Owyn (EUNE)
: But it also means abandoning casual players like Bob, making it feel like he's being neglected - without rewards and as much of a honor level progression making it feel less "nice" playing the game as Bob, in other words "either grind hard or leave", is that so?
Bob has an entire season to reach a higher honor level. While he will progress slower he has plenty of time. Also, if Bob does not want to dedicate much time to playing leauge, he will notice no change after the update, as he will get about the same amount of key fragments.
Owyn (EUNE)
: > No cap on honors per day. does this mean grinders gonna get levels much faster while it will be possible for casual players without penalties to not get levels to the end of the season?
Yes. It will not be that easy, tho. Progression is set to happen over the course of a few months, so you cannot really "grind it". As for the reasoning, someone who is honorable and plays 24/7 will have a positive impact on alot more games than a casual player, so it is fair for them to advance faster.

People can try to be "fake nice", but if it sounds insincere, then they probably won't get honored. And if it sounds sincere, then its not really different than just the person being a decent human being. You really don't know how text works, do you? The reader is left to interpret sincerity (or lack thereof) when presented with any text from anyone else, you're not afforded the same luxuries as conversing person to person (context). Yet you pretend this is the case? Wew lad. Wew.
You don't seem to understand the point. The whole honor system is based on player-to-player feedback. If you get honored, people's OPINION of you was good. If you get reported (might attract a suspension!), people had a BAD OPINION of you. It's all about how people see you, and being "overly positive" usually points out someone is fake/begging to be honored. Being a nice person/playing really well without being a jerk and showing off will get you honored, becouse people interpret that as being honorable/positive/enjoyable etc. > The reader is left to interpret Every single player is left the choice to honor someone or not. It's your choice to honor someone who said "GGEZ" or "Report top" etc. And it doesn't really matter if someone is fake or not as long as YOU enjoyed playing with them.

Getting a chat restriction shows inconsistent behavior. Seems fair to me. You can be brilliant 99 out of 100 times but the 1 time you're not will determine what you actually are. Riot logic. How hilarious.
Remember honor rewards are for those with CONSISTENT sportsmanlike behaviour. If you get a restriction it means you have crossed the line, and it should of course take your status as a honorable player. It is not jsut "Riot logic", it's common sense. Killing someone only once in your life does not make it ok.

i don't think it can detect hackers, since they exploit bugs in the game to break it, but it does detect inting if the players does it in more than one game repeatedly or if he gets a set amount of reports.
: I thank you for saying that my logs are edited, cause I was even mindblown myself that this was one of the games that popped up on my reform card. Cheers for your opinion i liked it {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}}
You said "one of the games", which means there are others. I do not mean to indiscriminate or point out, but if you did this on multiple occasions you did, in my opinion, deserve the suspension. Pointing out at bad teammates is by no means something nice, even if they are struggling. You are not of help, you are just making them feel worse and discourage them. Maybe they are inexperienced with the champion they picked, the matchup, or they got auto-filled (draft pick/ ranked). You should encourage them and try to help. You did not post the full chat history, so there is no way to tell, but from your response the incriminated player did not make any offensive statement towards you. You had no reason to become offensive, so i ask of you to think of what you have done from the point of view of the respective teammate(s).

The engine needs no update. If you really think your pc is that good just turn everything to very high. Not good enough? I recommend a 4k monitor. Don't want to spend more money? I don't either. Or, if you already got one, just enjoy the game...

The only thing is that it doesn't specify what type of punishment it was and who got punished and for what. We get feedback for some, not for all.
To be more specific, we get feedback for automatically delivered punishment from the "instant feedback" system. Cases that are reviewed by a human that decides a penalty needs to be issued do not give any feedback at all.
: How you feel when you make a moderately decent outplay as a bronzie
: they have been denying my evidence, i'm going to make them fix this since they knew their system was completely frozen during the second day
They stole no money. You gave it to them. It's in the T&C when you press "Purchase". Regardless, your money made no difference. Store purchases did not earn points for either faction. If it would, chaos would have won since day 1. If you had any friends you would have realised everyone is using a chaos icon, and that is why chaos won, as the only way to earn points for either faction was to play and win games using a chaos/order icon. I do not understand how it affects you, but i can guarantee their system was working, order had a slight lead in the first days of the event but lost ground really fast towards the end of the week. I too have been watching it and can assure you of that. As for your "comment section" you can always start a new topic to display your point of view. Not like this, i would suggest, or you will more likely get a restriction from the boards, rather than an answer...

: Yasuo free champion rotation
Yasuo and Riven have both been in the rotation for the past 3 weeks becouse of the "VS." event. I thought it was obvious but i guess not... It's pretty likely they won't be in the next rotation, but who knows, RIOT might actually get a liking to them and add them as permanent free to play champions.
: can you get demoted from honor?? i know u can get demoted if u are toxic and receive punishments//but, if u take a break from league, does your honor decay???
The only way you can get your honor level down is by getting penalties. Taking a break from league or simply playing rarely will not make your honor decay.

: Let's Chat about Honor
I have a little question! *raises hand* We've been told that keys will now drop randomly outside of games. It has been stated that keys will drop randomly when opening the client or browsing it. It has also been answered that opening and closing the client will not help earn a key, but leaving it overnight for example might lead to a "pleasant surprise". So here's the question: If i for some reason cannot leave my client opened (bad pc specs, energy saving etc.) do i earn the same amount of keys as someone that leaves their client opened 24/7? (given we have the same amount of games play with the same honor level and consistency) Does logging in once a week have the same effect as playing the same amount of games and then leaving the client open for the rest of the week?
: Cait's invisible traps are a feature, not an oversight
If you place traps in hidden places, that's cool, i mean if you want to know what's in the brush, do ward it. However, if you place a trap behind a turret, and i SHOULD be able to see it (it's right in front of me god dammit!), but the turret covers it, that is a bad game mechanic, becouse there's no indicator nor highlight for it. IMO traps should have an outline visible trough champions, minions, turrets and everything of the sort since we have actual visual contact, but no way to actually SEE it.

: What I don't like about the new system is that you can only honor one of your teammates. I seriously don't get why that is a thing. If my whole team was great shouldn't I be able to show everyone of them how much I appreciated the game with them? I don't want to say "Oh yeah dude you were so much more friendly than everyone else so you get the honor!" while the other guys were just as nice. What I also don't like is the fact that your honor level rises without actually getting honor from your teammates. With that mechanic we will soon have only people who are the highest or the lowest level since you can basically be afk (but move so you don't get a punishment) and your honor level would still rise up. It's like paying someone for doing nothing instead of paying only the people who actually do something. That mechanic should be changed or there is basically no reason wanting to be honored at all (if you know that you don't get any punishment in the near future ofc) since you will get to the highest level anyway.
If one was to afk a whole game just for honor you'd only need to report them and they would drop a whole honor level, so it's pretty safe to say noone will do that. Also, the reason why people would want to be honored is the flair that shows up on loading screen. Who wouldn't want that, duh!

I do not understand why some people are so confused on why i get to keep my name. I've also talked with rioters both on forums and in game they don't care about my name. I had a friend whose name was Duck My Sick and Riot changed his name to My Duck Is Sick so there's literally no connotation of anything. The fact that you've had "the" cuss word in your name and it was able to be submitted is ridiculous. Your points don't matter. Kids frequent the forums and play this game. There's no legit reason why your name gets to slide by with no changes.
What's the problem if kids frequent the forums? If they know the word they probably know it's meaning. Also, if they frequent a forum, they've probably been on that kind of a site already. It's the 21st century...
