: So why is there EVER a justified reason to use a racial slur, self-harm statement, or hate speech? The answer is there is none. That's why those cases are so easy to punish for. Riot doesn't care if you're supposedly "joking" with a friend or teammates. Not enforcing rules results in rule breakers and an even MORE toxic community.

I said that it is not justified to respond with harassment to a harassment. The problem is that those who start the harassment are in a bigger number and due to that THEY DODGE THE PUNISHMENT. If one player doesn't get a mass report in a game, he won't be flagged for toxicity unless he is reported in multiple consecutive games and because he is with premades, he will never be reported by his friends. Now please explain me, how is this reasonable? It's like in a court of justice where you are assaulted with charges of hitting a guy that tried to attack you but failed. Now he is the victim and you are the harasser. Would you have no problem in being punished for that even though you never wished for that to happen and you had no power in avoiding the situation? Do you realize the unfairness in this situation? It's the exact same thing as what league does to the majority of banned accounts. The game itself is toxic.

I've seen a comment that said it's absurd to review so many reported players by people. So I have a big question that is mostly addressed to RIOT. Please explain me, then, how is it fair to get banned by false reports "reviewed" by an automatic chat bot? You do realize you can get easily reported in a game without doing anything wrong just because a premade in your team is mad cuz you "stole" them a buff and/or the enemy is tilted cuz you stomped him on lane and then you have written in chat a lot of calls and the bot auto-bans you for "chat spam". This just a simple case that can get you chat banned for no reason. If you can't control a system with such harsh punishments, then you shouldn't have it, otherwise I don't see the utility of having a chat in the game if the only thing it can provide is getting your account banned. You could as well just remove the chat from the game and leave only the pings available, if your only resolve for this issue is to "mute all". It's not like it would influence the game in a bad way. Bad players don't watch chat and pings either way and pro players are smart enough to understand a ping pattern from the 1st call. Then the main root of toxicity according to riot would be erased and people shouldn't worry anymore of their account getting banned. The only 2 reasons one should get punished is inting and afk, and a restriction to ranked and play penalty for repetitive behaviour would be enough to make someone redeem or stop playing the game by himself without the need to ban his account. It's a rude action to confiscate someone a good in which he invested time and maybe even money, because you can't find a proper resolve. As a company that expects good and positive behaviour, you should be the prime example of it. And again how is it fair that after a person is being harassed and tilted by someone else and reacts, which is a natural behaviour of self defense and they both get punished. How is it fair to be punished for an event that didn't start from you even though one can say it's not normal to have such a reaction. And even then, that still wouldn't be a big issue if it would happen like that, but the sad reality is that most of the time the flamer gets passed by while only the harassed one gets punished. Why? Because the number of toxic people is to big and they support each other. Also, to imply on having such requests of behaviour, it would mean the community should have an age restriction in order to presume the accused has reason over his actions. Issue which again is denied by the fact that the league community is mostly populated by underaged kids with no self responsability. So then, how can you let a bot that also has no sense of reason to be judge, jury and executioner? In my opinion this system is the worst thing that happened to this game. It appeared with a good intention and meant to have a righteous purpose, but the way it works is only making the community more toxic by abusing it than it would've been without it, while driving it in a contest of who can get more people banned. And the only effect it has on the game is that it's digging its own grave... slowly but it's digging. And for a final advice... trying to force people into teamwork in an era where people are so full of self pride is the reason toxic communities take root. Making proud people that dislike to admit they have to depend and cooperate with others unable to take action in their own hands breeds toxicity. If it's not obvious enough, this is the reason battle royals have so much popularity and why league went down after season 3 changes. Those are instances that prove people they are or aren't as good as they think they are without denial and reason to blame it on someone else. Times change, you need to adapt else the harsh gaming environment will devour you. Many leading companies fell down in an instant after refusing to adapt.

: the only real way you can tell if someones inting is by chat... the person might just be preforming bad and making bad choices because they are having an off day.. Riot tells us that all the time... Hell look at bronze players *sorry to throw them under the bus* they int all the time have no idea what they are doing.. are they considered inters and griefers? no
Please explain me then, how do you determine someone is inting just by reading the chat if he doesn't type a single word in the game?
