: Interesting fact: Lissandra was blinded by Volibear
That is quite old actually! But yes she was dumb back then, however I do hope that whatever she was looking for, she found and was worth her blindness .

Wow really? I didn't play league in a few weeks but definitely interesting and good answer with Sejuani :)

Art looks questionable, they are probably still experimenting? However much prefer Ashe art!

Slightly off topic but your point is valid that Riot makes **very** few cinematics compared to other gaming companies and that I don't understand. We get maybe 3 or less proper cinematics a year and that is kinda lackluster.
: Honestly anything from her perspective. Her bio is bare bones and The Eye in the Abyss isn't about her. I get why the writers did this as Lissandra in lore is a figure that most of the Freljord and even the Frostguard doesn't truly understand.... bar Nunu... I'd love to see a story from her point of view. How she thinks nowadays, her feelings if she killed someone. Lissandra stared into the eyes of the Watchers and has their voices whispering in her head for millennia, and throughout it all she still retains some degree of sanity. She's such an interesting character I would love to learn more about. And above all - what is her reaction to the wards failing.

We do not know anything from her directly, everything we know about her has come from Nunu, the Frostgurd and the Ashe comic, she essentially has not spoken about herself... But again she does not have a colo story or a short story yet so I think we need to be patient tho I would be heavily disappointed if we get a stor but not from her perspective, I just want her to speak for herself,** let the woman speak!** And absolutely what is she gonna do now that the wards are failing, I guess she has a plan? would love an exploration of that.

: I'd like them to redo her current bio to make her less of a wretched, cowering betrayer, and more of the plotting, assertive manipulator she has always been. I mean, yes, betrayal was a big part of her past in her old lore, but the emphasis on it in her new lore, along with the new betrayal of the Watchers added in, served only to make her a paranoid, unlikable character. Old Lissandra was a hallmark villain. She was evil, we knew it, she had secrets, even from us, the players. She was in control, she had her plans in motion, and every vague thing she did we didn't know if it was a whim or part of those plans - that enigma and mystery around her activities is what made her fascinating. Her betrayal of her sisters was only so that she could take absolute power to keep her plans in motion, and it worked. New Lissandra? Not so much. They want us to feel pity for her. Her motives are questionable, and we've been given too much information to the point where we don't actually know if Lissandra has plans or not, or if she's making it up on the go. Killing the incarnations of her sisters is weird and doesn't make sense, especially since Lissandra is supposed to be so deeply hidden that no one actually knows of her true nature. Her plans up until the Watchers break free from her prisons is to hoard true ice and form an army? The Watchers make her have night terrors. Her characterization took a huge nose dive, and she went from a classic, fascinating manipulative villain to some conspirator hoarding weapons in a concrete bunker for the apocalypse. This isn't the Lissandra I feel in love with. It's not even remotely close to who she used to be. They even claimed more information would come up when they released that lore that would shed light on things, but all we've gotten are Ashe comics that don't even touch on Lissandra, and the little we do have on Lissandra is that she has a cult, and she's taken a weird maternal liking to Nunu.

We disagree but I do respect your opinion as a matter of fact I think that a good horror like, spooky color story of her doing some vile things could help you see her in a Villain- way. However never forget she still has a heart for children and killing her sisters caused her great pain :)
: There's some old images from Journal of Justice and Quinn's Journal from her adventures in Freljord (which also served as a teaser for Liss): https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/e/ec/Journal_of_Justice_Photo_02.png/revision/latest?cb=20181115014736 https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/a/a4/Lissandra_Promo_4.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/550?cb=20170308152535 The first one is from before Lissandra was even in development as a Champion, so that's why it looks old and shitty. Its also non-canon now. Its really interesting though that both Sejuani and Lissandra were first introduced in that article of the Journal of Justice, and much later became Champions. Riot doesn't do that as much now, last time I remember that happening was with Illaoi. Oh and Kai'Sa I guess.

I would love some voice updates for her{{champion:127}} .. Doubt that will happen anytime soon tho.. She could have much more striking and accurate vo's. However there is a few champs that need it too.

: VFX Updates for Ashe, Blitzcrank, Caitlyn and Jax, plus an SFX Update for Renekton.
I loved Ashe! And particularly the E so we get some lore connection to Anivia there.
: Oh, I actually do like the skirt and hope they keep it on her. But I don't think her outfit is very Freljordian because it looks very skimpy and flimsy. She should be wearing more fur and leather, and I think she should at least be wearing pants underneath her skirt because it's cold out there. Yes, I know some Champions are half-naked as well, which is why I'm fine if she doesn't wear long sleeves, but I still think her current outfit doesn't look that Freljordian. I also think that showing arms are fine since we see other Freljordians do it, but also with a bare back, chest, and thighs? I think that's too much exposure. Also, the gold decorations aren't something that makes sense with Freljordian aesthetic. We've never seen the Freljord with gold. It always confused me why she had those. If it's a summer outfit, then maybe, but then Riot would have to justify it in the lore? If you go into the game, people won't think that it's Ashe in the summer - people think that is Ashe's usual clothes. So I think her usual state of dress should be less "what she wears in the summer" and more "what Ashe usually wears in her home of the Freljord and as a Warmother." Which probably is more than just a dress. I don't understand what point you're trying to make with them washing their clothes. My points still stand. They're in the Southern part of Freljord? True, but it's still supposed to be part of Freljord. She still doesn't look Freljordian, and it's probably still cold down there. And yes, she's an Iceborn, but Iceborn still have their limits. Plus, even if they have partial immunity to the cold, I could imagine them dressing up warmly anyways because it's just more comfortable. They may have immunity to the cold, but that doesn't mean they would be willing to walk in a snowstorm in nothing but a thin, exposing dress. I would also mention that maybe Riot could do something creative with her facial features/body type for some more visual storytelling, but that's not the main point, although I would appreciate it if Riot did go down this route. Anyways, Ashe needs thicker clothes, more coverage, and needs to look more Freljordian than she actually does, or at least have a good, official explanation in the lore why does looks the way she does. That's why a visual update would do her good. And yes, she needs a new VO, along with Lissandra and Sejuani too. Her character has shifted and her voicelines need to reflect the character she is now, along with having more voicelines explaining her relationships with other characters, or even other nations. It would be very interesting to have a look into her mindset in-game.

: Lore when?
Yes I agree this is just because we want MOREEEE and not because we are mad at anyone... I personally just want more info on the comics in the future and especially the physical editions and their content. I know it is too early to talk Novels but its not too early to talk comics... And I am saddened that we did not get any lore today because in 2 weeks EVERYTHING is gonna hit us like a ton of bricks! We will get skins, new lore, new champion, new roadmap and probably some other minor things and it will simply be too much to process at once... So while I do want more I want it in a consistent pattern and not huge huge dumps of info.. I mean it is what it is but it wouldnt hurt to at least release a color story or two.. And yes I do understand that there is a schedule for everything so it does not get messy but I wouldnt see the harm in a color story like winterspike to be released or something similar.
: Eh, I think she needs an update because her current outfit doesn't really suit her. I mean, yes she's younger in the comic, but she's still the same person. Her current outfit doesn't look like it's from the Freljord, nor that it makes sense in the Freljord, and that needs to be changed sometime. Plus, she needs a VO update. Her current VO is in-line with her old lore, but not her new one.

Plus, she needs a VO update. Her current VO is in-line with her old lore, but not her new one. Outfit isnt freljordian? well I see what you are saying with the skirt but remember Runeterra is a real world and people wash their clothes and weat other stuff and I bet she wear her skirt in the summer plus she and her tribe are in the south of the freljord where the weather is a bit warmer plus she is an iceborn so she doesnt mind the cold either :P However YES I do think she needs a Voice update and Lissandra too... The VO could be soo much better and more cohesive now that we know more about them and the overall relationships in freljord :)
: To closer resemble her appearance in the comic from Marvel as that is Riot's official lore for Ashe now. Her outfit and appearance could be updated to reflect the image they have presented us with in the comics. She does currently feel like a different person in the game than she does in the book~ But that could just be me that feels that way~ I also feel that they may actually do this sometime after the full story is released as I asked a similar question on an earlier post about a visual update, and a Rioter commented on it then deleted their comment before I had a chance to read it. Could have contained spoilers they weren't ready to drop yet.

Our current in game Ashe is an adult 5 years or more has passed since the comic Ashe and her appearance has changed to what she is today. So imo no need to update anything she is still pretty much the same as in the comic just aged.

: I can't speak to the Lux comic. I donno where they are with it. I've only seen snippets. But you can probably apply the same math that was used for Ashe (plus 1 issue) to figure out it's release date. (I mean Marvel's schedules are pretty locked.) Ashe is still due for release on the day we mentioned previously. (mid may I believe) Sadly, I don't know what's in the book, and I haven't seen it. The exact insides are decided by our editors without the authors feedback (I guess?) Zed is spinning up production soon... and I'm not allowed to say much about him. I can say he has 6 scripts done, and first script is locked (I.e. ready for the artist). This is probably because we are in a place where the team doesn't have much to report... yet. (Heck. The surrounding probably affect yordles and their life expectancy and if they live in bandle city or runeterra probably also affects their age i would assume... yordles may get another update soon so we will see.
: How it can be that we STILL have no further information regarding the upcoming comics?
Riot has done a very good job in telling us the plans for the future with a few previews and the Ghostcrawler video, even the Ashe comic was announced very well and explained by Riot and especially Odin. Ever since then the has been nothing but SILENCE. I am a bit confused and saddened by this as we all want the comics to succeed so we can get more in the future including the novellas but in order for us to make this a hit we need Riot to inform and tell us more about this adventure with marvel and that is NOT happening. I feel like Ashe comic has been very well announced but this Lux comic is more mysterious and Im afraid Riot is hurting themselves by not giving us more info on that.
: Can Gnar be understood by other Yordles?
Altough Gnar is a young primitive yordle I do not think that his life expectancy is great enough for him to truly evolve and develop his speech... He really is like a cave man. Well I think Gnar is doomed to be lonely since nobody can understand him (except Willump maybe?) since his family is dead probably and no ancient yordles are left.
: Can Gnar be understood by other Yordles?
Well not really... Gnar is thousands of years old(8k?) and the problem with him is that he was always a very very primitive yordle in the way he speaks and thinks. Back then he did not communicate in the way todays yordles do. And I guess we will get a yordle update soon but one thing to note is that time also passes differently in bandle city. So there may be a very minor chance that someone in bandle city knows his language but then again very slim chances since Gnar probably did evolve differently because he was in freljord and not bandle city. Another reason why yordles would not understand gnar is because gnar himself did not develop his speech over time since he was frozen literally. He never got a chance to evolve and better his speech so most yordles would just find him weird.
: Zac skin pls
He definitely deserves one!!!
: Deciding standalones from group lore?
Well Nunu was always connected to Lissandra even in the old lore. I dont think it is random. Annie is a little child that goes around different towns and stuff so she doesn't have any interactions with other champions. I think that there may be more coming from Annie in the future. Riot probably decided about champion interactions based on past lore and the future potential of the champion and the faction they live in.
: I would say, based on nothing but my own assumptions, that at least one reason behind Talon's 'lackluster' character design. Is at the time of his release (2011) Riot was pumping out multiple new champs each month. It's clear, all 24 (wow that's a lot!) champs from then have very one-dimensional concept design. So it's clear that Talon's 'flaw' is mostly a product of Riot's work status at the time. Knowing that I don't believe it's entirely fair for us to use our contemporary hindsight, to now throw criticisms at the production choices of the devs back then. But it certainly doesn't mean Riot is absolved of that criticism. I'm happy to give you my precious internet points. But only as I admire the serviceable justifications for your argument. I think the strongest part of this thread is that there is nothing considerably wrong or inappropriate with your criticisms of Talon's entire character design, they're all reasonable on some level. Just as I mentioned before, it is a 'flaw' of it's time. We can probably be assured that a character like Talon would be designed far better today had that been the case. ;-) Also: I share in a similar (un)popular opinion, I think LeBlanc should be considered for a full VGU oneday soon. As much as people would like to see her visuals updated, I think fans have grown far too ~~attached~~ complacent to her kit. Where Riot would be too scared to completely change it, in fear of community alienation. Which I could easily imagine the same hesitation Riot could have towards a possible Talon rework. So as much as I think these champs would benefit from a sizable rework, I thoroughly doubt it. Which imo is a huge disappointment of lost potential for characters with particularly boring, incohesive, mostly senseless designs.

Leblanc having a cape is also just awful tbh... I also play her with the skin that doesn't have a cape

: It would make for some interesting lore, but I think khazix`s hunger was literally programmed by the watchers, they made voidborn who`s goals were to go around runeterra and consume things from that world to learn more about it and abuse whatever it had. Khazix is literally a self building biological machine in that regard, he is there to consume and adapt, basically taking things that work in an ecosystem and abusing it in order to improve. Something would have to tick for khazix to turn on and eat other voidborn since there isn't really a point in doing so considering all void creatures are made up of resources / are lower adaptations of what you would find in runeterra, hes already ontop of the chain and has access to everything other voidborn have just by going to the watchers and asking, and khazix already shares similar traits to other voidborn champions, like cho`s e spikes. That and most traits that he would get from other voidborn would be disastrous for khazix, hes starting to form as a finished creatures that resembles most successful realworld predators, fast and dangerous, if he was to gain reksai`s or cho`s armored shells and lose his light carapace, he wouldn't be able to move and jump as easily and would be more of a sitting duck. Kog`s corrosive spittle might be easy for him to utilize and create, but then again, kog`s body isn't growing/adapting as far as we know, he is just going around and eating while on his journey to malzahar, which means kog is using a lot of his energy and materials to make whatever that corrosive stuff is. The watchers and vel koz might make more viable targets for khazix since they share unique / magical traits which might not require much physical downsides/drawbacks, if its even possible for him to gain those by eating them.

Well if Khazix would start eating Voidnorn it wouldn't be the first time the watchers miscalculated an outcome...
: Misunderstood Ornn
Ornn is great and I loved ,,the lost tales of ornn" the most.
: Reav3 8 months ago mentioned working on Diana and wukong any updates so far on them?
Please post this thread on ,,Gameplay“ and not here this is for lore and not anything gameplay wise.
: Patch 9.7 altered Garen's model color
When Liss got her new passive her model was also darker than before and it kept changing and it still sint fixed sometimes she is darker sometimes lighter. Riot RangerXIV told me that so maybe they're trying something new with Garen ot maybe it's just a bit of a glitch
: Because thats not what is wanted. An old grandma isnt cool or fun. A strong young male/female animal human or whatever even a monster is cool. This game's genre and universe is about battle. An old grandma doesnt fit here and I am glad we don't have one tbh.

An old grandma doesnt fit here and I am glad we don't have one tbh. Honestly sometimes Im not sure that you understand certain things about this game. This game has countless young women as champions. From sexy dressed to moderate. Its all there. And men to be frank. Battle is not exclusively a sword and gun fight, here battle is also about magic and more so about imagination. Witches are cool, and everyone loves an evil witch incl. her being old. Hansel and Gretel were fun because of the hag. When Neeko was released Riot knew that she would be a niche champion and nothing wrong with that, so will the hag champion be. Except you are in the minority by thinking that isn't cool. Just btw. Zilean is a grandpa and guess what? He is still very much alive and played lul
: some of riots lessons learned over the years included one very important one -- dont make a champ unmarketable. trundle and urgot had to be redesigned because their visuals were completely despised by the players. why go out of their way to make somehting that almost nobody actually wants, when they can pump out another woman with cannonball tits that teens will buy 10 skins for

There is nothing wrong with a grandma as I do believe even a few older people may be playing this game!
: Yeah, it's a pretty widely used archetype that's not really been hit on by League, I mean hell, they pop up constantly in just about any anime or kid's show you watch. I mean, one of my favorites is Yubaba: https://i.redd.it/x1mfcbzi6go11.jpg And then let's not forget this bitch Hama in Avatar. She was crazy fucked up: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/evilbabes/images/4/49/Hama_forest.png/revision/latest?cb=20170409212520 Also, #3 shouldn't be Lux's granny. It should be Braum's Mother. "Mother always says - DON'T LOSE"

: Annual Reminder: There is STILL no old-ass grandma champion
WE want an old stereotypical witch with a big nose and a hump on her back while walking with a stick!
Sukishoo (NA)
: The earliest they will come is around patch 9.10, which is still within the first half of the year. So it's "early" to them but we should have all known it wasn't gonna be THAT early.

Under early year I think until April.
