Nerf the one thing about Karthus that takes skill "to help having a chance to fight back", meanwhile Dark Harvest + Presence of Mind R spam is by far the most frustrating thing about him. Cool.
: It used to give 500+ hp late game to tanks, but riot wanted overgrowth to be better for other classes and made it mostly flat hp rather than % Also with substats being changed to be "chooseable" tanks lost out on the resolve + inspiration combo, now inspiration tree is pretty crap for tanks..and anyone who cant abuse kleptomancy / free watch It wouldn't be that big of a stretch to say tanks lost atleast 15% of their hp from both of these changes combined....

: To be fair, most of Kayle's problems were gameplay related, not design related. * Her skill ceiling was low, most of her abilities being point-and-click and with little expression besides "knowing when to use abilities" * Her kit had a simple play-pattern: Farm up until you can put E on, auto-attack to death. * Extremely powerful kit when numbers allow it because of an instant, point-and-click invincibility for several seconds. * Hasn't been competitively relevant in ages due to balance keeping her down. Nobody really had any complaints about her design though and people did like this super armor angel knight aesthetic. Hell, her base model isn't even THAT bad, although that's due to a glow-up she got early on.
Genuine question now that I think about it, does her update actually change anything about that? - Point and click with mostly about when to use - Farm up until ~~you can put E on~~ your passive is up - Ult is the same with damage I guess for the majority of game her passive still has more to it than "press E when up until it is always up", but still wondering. Edit: Ok, I just realized that you made this comment likely just before her kit was shown, my bad on that

Complaining about her at this stage is just laugable. Also, just because 1 ability in Akali’s kit is strong doesn’t mean Akali’s rework was a failure. Need I remind you the true point to rework Akali was to address her binary all in burst pattern, which the rework addresses successfully. Her shroud was gutted in the past because how she worked, her shroud was kept to preserve identity. Her problem is her shroud, but on the whole, there is nothing wrong with the Akali rework and the objectives it set out to clear was sucessful.

: But it's like their what... 9th preseason? Didn't they mature enough as developers to know how much damage those changes cna bring to the table? Unless it's intentional to have preaseason being a damage galore, I have to think that they are not that good at their job overall.
Well, it's also not like everyone of them have been around since the first preseason.
: Stretching? Not really. A girl goes to a gym and works out then comes home. She thinks she smells bad, but her boyfriend/husband starts to get intoxicated and then before you know it the two of them are making love. Which also is a sweaty mess of BO and the more there is, the harder the two goes. This is also the other way around. Another example is.... when theres a guy and girl dating and the guy goes off on a week long business trip or something... but for a month before that he has been coming home every day after going to the gym in the morning. While he is on his trip, while she misses him then she may wear or cuddle with or whatever his gym shirt that hadnt been washed yet. This is because the smell reminds her of him. This ALSO goes the other way around. So unless you are telling me that lesbians and gay guys do not work the same way, this is stuff that happens ALL the time. Im sure most people can come up with an example of something similar. A straight girl in a womens locker room will probably not enjoy the smell of 10 or 20 sweaty women in the same room. Same as a straight guy will probably not enjoy the smell in the mens locker room. TL;DR smells remind us of things, and when it comes down to it.... body odor of someone who you are attracted to can be the most intoxicating thing that someone can think of. If they are not attracted to them, it can be one of the most repulsive. It all has to do with what memories it provokes. Plus you can do research about it, it is a natural occurance. Just google "why is body odor intoxicating" and you will find lots of stuff.
Yeah idk wtf you are talking about, I'd tell you to go take a shower and the majority of couples I know are the same.
: TP is the only thing that allows champions with less sustain to exist there in the first place. It's also the only thing that lets splits work at all outside suicide splitpushers like Tryndamere. With this TP is effectively removed and both top and mid laners have no choice but to permanently stick with their team. You know what this does when Baron is up? This massively warps how the game is played. Bot lane will be entirely ignored while all 10 sit around Baron waiting for the other to screw up all while bot lane RNG pushes either way with noone able to contest it other than Shen. This means if you're not a teamfighter (ornn, shen, etc.), kill laner (panth, riven, etc.) or suicidal splitter (tryn... can't think of much else) you're essentially worthless now. Champions that can viably run Spellbook or Ghost+Flash are still gonna be okay, but anyone dedicated to TP is dead.
For these cases, I don't see how TP is dead for you. If you just want it to teleport back to lanes or baron then just keep taking it if it is so essential to your champion's viability. Also what are even the champions that don't fall into the categories that you listed and that couldn't/didn't already take ignite or something else.

: Ive been waiting for months and months to get a champion shard for a champion I don't already own, to no avail
Wouldn't you, by that logic, then have months worth of shards for champs that you either own or don't care for? Shouldn't that easily give enough BE?
: False info. back when the first released the be system I did the math. The farther you level once you hit those bench marks you will make less BE than you would IE, plus you forgot RNG, so honestly it just doesn't feel fullfilling and usually isn't worth it compared to IP. Now if you press me on this I can go do the math and send you a picture over this if you would like.
I mean, they also did changes to it since it was first released, iirc the minimum BE value of a capsule was increased slightly and the XP for later levels was evened out more. I could be wrong on that though.
: Its still tank tho, no damage items at all. Just insane base damage/scaling+tank items instead of some damage items/rest tank+base damage/scaling if compared to juggernauts.
Your items don't determine your role, what you do does. Mundo is more of a juggernaut/bruiser than a tank too and builds typically pure tank items. Maokai is a tank and in top lane still built an AP item in the form of RoA before Glory became the thing. I don't know if you would count Singed as a tank or "whatever the fuck Singed is", but he often has a bunch of AP items to build as well. So if they behave more like pseudo-bruisers, then that's what they are.
: Honestly, I don't recall if it ever was bannable.
: Pander? K/DA is an ode to all female K-Pop groups and what they represent for empowerment and Korean culture. There's no pandering there, just appreciation of a style that's become super popular in the last few years. Although K-pop "boyband" groups are out there and very popular, if I'm not mistaken, K-Pop's basic archetype was created by women and is constantly being reinvented by women. Leaving that aspect of K-Pop out of this event would be taking the creators of this Skin-line's inspiration for granted. Next time you're inclined to call something that respects and appreciates women "pandering" think back to all of the skins pandering to men (battle bunny, anyone?).
I don't know if I would call kpop culture "empowerment and respecting women". Appreciating, sure. I agree more with it not being pandering to women because at the end of the day, 4 sexy girls are bound to cater to your male audience as well.

: That’s the definition of “high skill cap”. Solo queue may have a very low pick/win rate compared to pro play. That’s the definition of a champion having a “high skill cap” is that only the best players of that champion can play them successfully. The reason pro play tends to have a much higher win rate with these “high skill cap” champions is that pros tend not to play high skill cap champions unless they’re *very* good at them (which most of them are).
The difference is coordinated team play. Ornn, for example, being trash in soloq and good in competitive is not because of his skill cap. The same goes for Karma, according to NeuroCat.
: I am very confused now. You first started saying that this would technically help against true damage, and now you're saying it has no effect on it. At least to me, which I may be interpreting what you're saying incorrectly, it seems like you're saying that. Nothing in the game can help in lowering the damage of true damage, because it is simply that, damage that will always be true. The only way to technically reduce it is if it scaled off of a stat, and you lowered said stat, reducing the true damage indirectly.
No, I am saying that flat damage reduction, like shields, help surviving true damage as opposed to resistances that do nothing.
: A few people already brought it up here but: #Soraka's Mana was a basic ability, Karma's is an empowered ability. Soraka could spam this spell with impunity and really didn't have to suffer or lose out. Basically the only drawback to using it was "Oh I can't silence an enemy". Plus Soraka could cast it on herself. Karma can only give mana with an RW combo on an ally, a much higher resource cost as Karma can't mana herself back up in lane and misses out on Q poke/mass shield. #Soraka had a heal, Karma does not. Excluding RW on an enemy (which doesn't count), Karma can't heal her ally indefinitely or really keep herself in the fight, so she's susceptible to being bullied out of lane. Old Soraka could heal herself, then mana back up, and just repeat an endless cycle of keeping herself alive and her ally alive that could only be halted by the hardest of engages. I don't blame you for asking though. This is a really good example case of how a mechanic once deemed unhealthy _can_ return to the game in some capacity, barring an appropriate power budget and a much more heavily restricted design.
Just as a *little* correction, while initially Soraka's E could be cast on herself, that was removed a while ago before the ability was reworked entirely, and it had a mana cost as well.

Nope, that's how he's always been, years before it, too. That just brought more attention to him.
: When you look at the 'Notes' on wikia page for Bone Plating, it says, and quote "The damage reduction applies after resistances." So that's what I mean there.
Yeah but why does that matter in terms of helping against true damage? You take 100 physical damage minus armor and reduce it by 20 or you take 80 physical damage minus armor plus 20 true damage, and still reduce it by 20. It's the same as shields and health which certainly help against true damage.
: On the recent patch notes why is Ashe labelled as a 'marksperson' and not correctly as a 'marksman'
To anyone who is serious about this; this is exactly the kind of overblown reaction to termonology (which imo was most likely being used humurously) that SJW do.
: "Most players play Karma as support" well DUH, it's because you guys pushed her there and made her E so strong that her mid lane was destroyed basically. She was in mid before you guys did that. So can you see why people are frustrated? You guys do this to our favorite champs. Morgana, Zyra, Karma. All mid lane mages until a couple took them bot, so then you all were like "let's just make them supports then!" I am a level 7 mastery Karma so I know how she does in the bot lane. I will be skeptical about these changes until I can play her both mid and support and see how she fairs.
Complaining about Zyra support is like complaining about Vi jungle. Vi was an intended top laner but turned out to be the strongest in the jungle (when not broken in lane). So did Zyra, always. I hope you realize you'd piss a lot more people off than you'd satisfy if you made Zyra a mid laner *instead* of a support rather than trying to make mid coexist. Just wanted to get that out, because while you are not wrong that people don't have much choice but to play support Karma, *most likely* her playerbase would still be the highest in support, and they have to make sure to not break support Karma while making mid viable.
: Hey NeuroCat, These changes are interesting, but I am quite concerned that you guys are only pushing changes on her for her support role. Mind you, before her failed "mini rework" and then being pushed into the support role, she was a mid lane mage first and foremost. Why are there not any changes besides the Mantra Q damage higher on initial spell the only ones for her mid lane play? Just like Zyra and Morg, you guys keep pissing off the mains that had been playing them for their mid lane play, where they started out in the beginning before being pushed bot.
On the other hand, she is a supportive mage no matter how you look at it (think Zilean), so these *might* still help her mid lane.
Vicimus (NA)
: Should it even be considered a problem? High skill cap champions have always been a part of the game.
This is less about skill cap but about solo queue and pro play.
: Actually it wouldn't help against true damage. Bone Plating damage reduction is applied after resistances, while Conqueror is calculated before. And even then, you'd be reducing the non-true damage portion of Conqueror. But in the end, yes, Conqueror is a problem, but literally only for tanks, because of the % true damage portion. Other classes don't really need to worry about the true damage, like mages or adcs, since they don't build resistances. They would die from a Jax in the same amount of time, Conq or no Conq.
I'm not sure what you mean with bone plating being applied after resistances, it reduces damage by a flat amount based on your level.
: They don't though. Tanks are most common in Top lane, which is also home to fighters, and their rune, Conqueror. Gaining bonus defense and resistance in laning phase doesn't mean anything when the person they're laning against can ignore 20% of their defense. Tanks are in a weird spot because of that, and currently the only tank that consistently does well in Top lane no matter what it seems, is Sion.
You know, funny enough the rune that was removed for this technically would help against true damage. So does Sion's latest buff to his HP gain. If Conqueror is the problem, then give them defences by HP and shields. Then again this might become an arms race that will never work out, and I am inclined to agree that maybe Conqueror has problems.

I could make an argument about how games are still decided through drafting and macro, and that a history of being the best doesn't give you a guarantee of being the best, and that SKT hasn't been the best team for the entire year which is entirely their own fault... but first and foremost, you are calling the world championship "LCS". Do you know what the LCS actually is?
: Doesn't help that they literally put off giving us 10 bans for so long that we probably needed a few more by the time we even got it. And then they tried to do this half-assed shit where both teams ban blind, to try and cause overlap and steal one of our bans back from us. Because Riot was so butthurt about giving us 10 bans and so against us being able to ban their 'fun' champions every game.
Well, the time it would take was also of some concern.

Im not sold he is ruining games or hindering his teams balance. Ok did you read what I said since it would solve the last two things you said but if I worded it poorly then thats my bad so explain it in a different way now if he has gotten a lot of reports from people even with his high winrate that should show people just dont like having it on there teams aka ruinng them for those players, now what I mean by team balance is the job of a role like a carrys job is to mostly do damage now the reason we have the meta we have now is because its the one that would win over the others so if you pick somones whos is not a jg into the jg it will do bad vs somone with the same skill but playing a real jg so playing a off meta will hurt your team making them have a higher chance of losing. Now there are 2 factors that go into him having a good winrate the biggest is that since people never see champions played like that they cant adjust to it or play around it so they lose, two most people that play off meta in high elo are good at the game or know how matchs up work and how to play into them thats how he has a high winrate but the biggest thing is I dont know how having a high winrate is proof that he is not griefing since griefing is making players on your team have a bad game on purpose. Now if you still dont understand pls tell me in more detail what you dont get or just give me a explanation of why am wrong.
