I would certainly hope so thinking of what Sylas would do if he got his hands on the runes.
: I thought about it during his development. I thought a lot about all the champions and regions! If Sylas was born there he'd probably be Swain's right hand man - an assassin/rogue like Katarina perhaps. Being able to trace magic helps you not only hunt targets but spot magical traps, see through illusions and circumvent protection. It's sad really. You are right also that a powerful nation that embraces magic would make a useful ally for a band of rogue mages unwittingly camping on a secret vault of worldstones. Alas being in a dungeon for his entire adult life Sylas probably knows very little of Noxus (and I believe the factions encountered each other late enough there might not be many records in old books he had access to), and would be immediately wary of any empire and their rhetoric. He's not exactly the trusting type. Swain would be all like 'In Noxus, strength is what decides who leads!' and Sylas would say 'And yet here I see at the top of the pile, a cripple who had to borrow his power...' Sylas' line about Noxus likely comes from a place or ignorance or at least indifference. I know it makes it confusing but I don't think you can always trust that our champions are speaking truthfully. Or with wisdom! Except Zoe. She has it all figured out.

: SG Syndra and Zoe
My personal theory is that Zoe, Syndra and Janna were all on the first team of Star Guardians. Janna and Syndra's lore state that both of them are Guardians from an earlier era and they share the same colour scheme along with Zoe. Something happened along the way and Zoe went bat shit evil and Syndra also did some sketchy stuff but Janna stayed true to her cause and in the process the team was torn apart in a violent schism which Janna somehow survived - not too difficult for her because her star guardian magic like her i canon abilities are about healing and shielding.
: Why Is Lissandra So Seldomly Played?
She's pretty linear and predictable im higher elo. Her laning phase is pretty bad against many mid laners and more people know how to use cleanse and Qss in higher elo. Low elo she's pretty decent but she requires a lot of team coordination which you won't have 9/10 games. All in all she's still a very decent champion. Her passive is strong but it doesn't really help her in general it's better when you have teammates helping your burst and kiting around to use the zombies to wear down stronger opponents.
: What do you actually do against a fed AP Malphite?
Zhonyas blocks his entire burst with good timing because if AP Malphite players think their ult will hit they usually unload all their other abilities as well. Banshees doesn't work as well but if forces him to change around his combo and at least gives you some warning that he's looking to hit you

Given he's the closest thing to a Kaiju league has I think it might be a safe bet that he could be hiding in the ocean and he's in some form of hibernation. Imagine being a citizen of Piltover and you look out of your window one morning and see Cho'Gath approaching... that would be an incredible bit of lore. : What if the threat Swain has been preparing for is not the Void but Mordekaiser?
Swain is probably aware of both threats but Mord is the one that needs his immediate focus. Lissandra is doing her best to deal with the massive breach up there in the north but Swain likely doesn't know how dire the situation is, and that's if he knows anything at all. I know he has a quote for it but in game quotes don't necessarily match up completely with the lore. Noxus isn't in any immediate danger from the Void, maybe some outlying settlements are being ruined by Vel'Koz but nothing to be too concerned about when there's a pissed off undead warlord who has his sights set on reclaiming his kingdom.

I agree with you on the outfit it's a little distasteful, but I think it's to emphasize that she doesn't need armor to protect herself. The Iceborn (EUNE)
: My hopes for Lissandra's future lore
Honestly anything from her perspective. Her bio is bare bones and The Eye in the Abyss isn't about her. I get why the writers did this as Lissandra in lore is a figure that most of the Freljord and even the Frostguard doesn't truly understand.... bar Nunu... I'd love to see a story from her point of view. How she thinks nowadays, her feelings if she killed someone. Lissandra stared into the eyes of the Watchers and has their voices whispering in her head for millennia, and throughout it all she still retains some degree of sanity. She's such an interesting character I would love to learn more about. And above all - what is her reaction to the wards failing.

: Cho'Gath: Why is he important, and how can we make him matter?
My personal theories are as such: 1. Cho'Gath is currently hiding in the ocean, similar to how {{champion:161}} does for long periods of time. Maybe he's waiting or maybe he's in a sort of hibernation state. When he comes out it's going to be a sort of Kaiju theme where this massive Godzilla beast erupts from under the waves and heads towards the nearest civilization. 2. Cho'Gath is trapped in the void and can't get through any rifts because of his massive size and any rift large enough to accomodate him, such as the Freljord or Icathian one is sealed. However we now from Rek'Sai's lore that the Xer'Sai are building a massve void construct which could be a gate large enough to let him come through.

: Zilean's consciousness is scattered throughout history. He 'exists' simultaneously at numerous different points in time; it's only his corporeal vessel that is physically present at the current moment. This has given him such profound understanding of the universe and its fundamental laws that he has become more powerful than any other mage in canon, though this also means that he would never use his incredible powers without first pondering their possible effects on the stability of the fabric of reality. The knowledge of how to prevent Icathia's fall without creating alternate timelines or seriously screwing with existence still escapes him. All this is precisely why Vel'Koz is so interested in probing his brain. TL;DR: get on my level, Xerath.

: The Unsupported Speculation Thread
{{champion:161}} is the creature {{champion:267}} faced in her comic. Arguments for: 1. It is confirmed that Vel'Koz can survive living underwater for centuries at a time. 2. The creature is definitely a voidborn and was locate not far from a void rift. Vel'Koz disseminates his knowledge into void rifts and as it is not yet confirmed if he can tear open void rifts in lore as he does in game, this is most likely one he would use as it is isolated from terrestrial species, yet easily accessible to him. 3. The creature didn't immediately kill Nami - Non sentient voidborn seem to have a "consume on sight" instinct imbued in them, Vel'Koz is one of the sentient voidborn who does not follow this principle as it would be counter productive to his Modus Operandi. 4. The story happens in present lore and both Nami and Vel'Koz have had time to move since, Vel'Koz heading North and Nami heading presumably east around the southern coast of Shurima heading towards Ionia as it appears to be the fastest way in lore as stated that there is more of the planet to discover and there are likely other continents toward the western oceans. Bonus - if this is the route Nami takes then she will have to travel round the Icathian Peninsula. Arguments against. 1. Vel'Koz appears to be much larger than the creature Nami faced as it was roughly the size of a large shark in the comic and Vel'Koz appears to be the size of a large house in lore. 2. Rasho was partially corrupted. Only Watchers have the ability to create voidborn and corrupt organic life as shown with Olar in Eye in the Abyss, Regular voidborn do not possess this ability. (It is possible that Rasho encountered a new type of voidborn created for corrupting mortals, or mere proximity to the rift caused it, either way Vel'Koz would not have been involved) 3. _The creature didn't immediately kill Nami_whilst stated above, Vel'Koz would likely immediately kill anything new he encounters to understand it. (It is possible however that if it was him, he studied Rasho beforehand and therefore did not need to understand Nami. 4. The creature reacted with brute force. Seeing as it's his main retaliation method I'm assuming Vel'Koz could still fire off plasma bolts underwater - someone science savvy would probably need to back this up. Anyone have any thoughts or extra points please point them out

But the void can only corrupt and consume organic matter. Black Mist spirits have no form but can somehow damage other physical forms.
: Rioters, can you explain two questions??
Planets will likely form around Aurelion's stars but that doesn't seem to be the case for Runeterra. It's stated that Runeterra was made by Celestials, possibly Targonians, possibly others, using the World Runes and it's possible it was an experiment of some kind. However from Soraka's story we know that mortals strayed from whatever divine purpose that was chosen for them and so the creators left signs in the stars to guide them, and when they failed to be interpreted, some of them possibly abandoned Runeterra completely. However the unforeseen consequence of creating this world artificially seems to be that it woke The Watchers who are determined to destroy it, and once they breach through, it's possible they will spread past Runeterra, possibly to Targon Prime and beyond. We don't know if The Celestials have had to deal with the Void before Runeterra or if this is the consequence for making Runeterra, or if they did know and making Runeterra was step one in a countermeasure that backfired terribly
