: Or even shorter: "gg wp all" whether you win or lose.
Those were tips to increase the odds of getting the "Honorable Opponent" tag, by being diferent and giving alot more enfasis to the positive side of the game than 'just' a "gg wp".

: 457 honorable opponent honors... I'm not saying this to brag, or to put you down. Simply to give you some hope in people. It is possible that people are more picky with who they give honors to, but if you were getting them a lot before, then you can still get them. Try the following line "The only reason you guys won is that you played better" Edited to add : I replied to the wrong message, hopefully this wont be too confusing
Or: "Fun dificult game" - regardless of win or loss in a balanced game "Sad to me and my team, but you deserved to win. well done" - when losing in a one sided game. "You did great regardless of afkers." - when winning vs a team that has afk, but still continue to play etc... Basicly just be a sportsman

So far. All riot has succeeded in doing is moving toxicity from direct insults to passive aggressiveness and subtle trolling. Which in my opinion is worse because its harder to just ignore
Where "you're salty" or "you're toxic" classifies as passive-aggressive?
: I'll take the flamer and toxic player that plays well and we still win ( mute button) then a trash feeder or troll and we lose badly. is this even a good question. dont come to these brown nosers for info. the nose is too far up riots buttocks :D
Mute button works good until someone buys item that other dont agree, or fails a skill shot, or... Then no more team play and game lost. Bad player tho can be conviced to align with team and be part of teamfights and ganks etc... Even if most fail, normally it only takes one success to win a match. Karma is a good champ ;)

While in champion select I failed to select runes and masteries because I was reading this post. Will feed because of you. <-- being both toxic and feeder in one single statement. In reality is my fault i failed to select both, but I blame you cause I'm a perfect player and i'm never wrong and never fail. You read me?

Tho the OP presents the issue in a passive-aggressive way, the OP actually has a point there. Some toxicity that happen in game actually starts during champion selection (not as much as it used to tho).

Actually these last few weeks I felt an escalation of toxicity. I play mainly ARAM, so doubt it's related with the new system. I would attribute the fault to the school vacation period, kids with more free time and such.

I rarely have afk players in my games. something like 1 every 10 games or so (both mine and enemy team). Diference probably related with what we prefer?
: Even the smallest encouragement can make a player improve in a game
100% agree with the subject title. Regarding the content, in general agree, but since I prefer the focus on the team as one, I normally only say "GG", WP, "perfect", "nice", TY, etc on actions with participation of at least 2 teammembers (eg: me and other, or 2 teammates). Seldom do individual positive comments, unless I feel that that player needs some insentive. Sometimes this includes simple things, like helping to get a buff, killing dragon, gank an enemy, placing some wards, etc... Simple things that most of the time have a huge positive impact on the team.
: I can say "GG EZ" all I want.
There are some rules where is very clear stated what can be elegible for being punished. With such set of rules there are some dedicated to what is not acceptable to be said. Tho, there is no rule prohibiting anyone of saying whatever they want. With this in mind, i do not understand why you created this thread because is completly true what you state in the subject. Is there some kind of special medal or reward for captain obvious thread creation that I'm not aware of?
: SO FED UP W/ RIOT'S FAILURE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT AFK'S
I'm not an afker or rage quiter, but if you express in the game the same way you express yourself here I actually understand why some ppl would rage quit on you. Rather have in my team bad players than toxic players.

The you word is the only thing that makes the diference between a personal attack and a general comment on your initial post. You have a point. In game, I try to say "we" when I'm trying to politely point out some mistakes. Like, "we are just diving in silly and feeding heimer." after one player has, for the 10th time in the last 5 minutes just ran in and died, often being the only deaths on our team. This typically happens when I play with my friends. They are new to the game. Some of them are honestly more frustrating than the random trolls. Unfortunately one of the bad ones is a roommate so it's hard to avoid playing with them. Since the last time they fed then afk'd, I try to only play aram or featured game modes with them. See, this is also a frustration. I've been trying to avoid this type of thing and was taking steps to avoid toxic behavior before I was even aware of reports.

> The second you change that, you will lose the current audience of the game, Personal opinion, or is it backed by any data? > and the Riot can very well go bankrupt right there and then. Now that is way more dificult. At least, not before several years or if very bad moneys management is done. > What you're saying is like saying removing birthday cake will prevent cavities. Heck, it might not, but even if it did, what's the point of preventing cavities if you canmt enjoy any food? Actually is more like saying behave like basketball players and have only one statistic available to you, your and oposing team score, during the match. This way focus is only one: win. After the match, do whatever with your or other player individual stats, but in game only one matters. > Exact same thing goes here. People are individuals, and like to be rewarded individually. That may be the case, but then again, that is actually what causes the problem i described. This is not like last man standing of UT, or other individual games, where how you perform is the solo indicator of your own loss/win...
: And how should I adjust my playstyle to assist an ally if I don't know they need help?
That is what should already currently happen, communication, as in: -> Asking for help; -> Pinging; -> Etc... If the communication is used as an asset, don't see where this might help. But, I can easily see where this can help on communication not being a liability...

The game has an individual component to it. Rewarding individual skill is important, but when you go so far as to make it so individuals don't have any rewards of their own. There is no end game fantasy. There's simply nothing.
My personal opinion is that there is way too much focus on the individualist perpective because we are used to play it in an individual mater (even if played with friends). This is what i feel that makes many ppl at some point crack down and start flaming like crazy to teammates (sometimes even to those they trust their game...), because they see them as enemies to their individual objects (penta kill "steal", minion last hit, KS, etc...). There's a constant pressure to have "good" stats in game, even if sometimes bad stats means team winning (*). Now, by removing the individual objectives from the game (eg: individual stats), a new objective is added. which is even more bounding and strong: the team objectives. This way, random ppl that never played with each other, are much more likely to bound together and work together to the objective, which is currently present (though not the main focus), win the match. Simple questions (* - first 2 question explain the statement): "How many times as tank, you got yourself killed so that the team was able to win the teamfight/run away/get turret/etc...?" "How many assis/kills were not received because you were doing backdoor while rest team was luring enemy?" "How many times that Teemo guy, was there waiting for all team to die or enemy team get very low HP before engaging? While he would be a great asset in the teamfight since begining." (replace teemo for any other champ/player that is only after individual stats). Etc... Team focus removes all these questions from the game...

: Tired of Not having teambuilder
If you want a suggestion to fix your problem: Don't select a champion until you get to actually select it. Also, small tip, get them to confess what they did during game. Then you just need to report them in the end and be happy again.
: Not completely. If I don't know that top lane is going terribly, how can I be expected to help bail them out and help them get back on their feet? I've got no indication it's them, and also no indication that the enemy top is super fed.
Replyed [here](http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/ntj52mWJ-suggestion-entirely-remove-individual-statistics-while-in-game?comment=00010000000000000000000000000000) to a similar question. Quoting: >The get fed part, think is tackled by: >"Gold divided evenly with all teammembers, same as happens with turrets;" >This has several effects, one is "no more me" and "less unbalanced lane fases". Goal to teamplay for objectives and not individuality. So basicly, there is no need to track down how each one is doing during the game - except the self to understand if any adjustment to playstyle is required.
: > [{quoted}](name=Dal Ai Cam,realm=EUW,application-id=ZGEFLEUQ,discussion-id=ntj52mWJ,comment-id=000100000000000000000000,timestamp=2016-07-16T21:55:03.483+0000) > > Good point. > > Will change the initial post to continue to display own individual score. Think it solves that? I think it does. I mean, there's stil other problems like knowing that you need to help your adc get fed and get more cs and stuff, but meh.
The get fed part, think is tackled by: > Gold divided evenly with all teammembers, same as happens with turrets; This has several effects, one is "no more me" and "less unbalanced lane fases". Goal to teamplay for objectives and not individuality.

But, giving credit and asking, combine very well. > AI taking control of dc-ed players, giving the team at least some compensation for the unbalanced situation. So why doesn't LoL do this? That is an interesting approach to the problem, though in ranked games it may be worse for the team to have a bot rather than be with less one. Though for non-ranked game do strongly believe that is a good approach. Though only after team accept the bot to take it's place.

: I honestly feel like riot doesn't care about toxicity at all. And goes overboard with these punishments just to make it look like they're doing something
I disagree with you. If that was the case toxicity would still be high, and we would continue to see as average 2/3 toxic players per game. Now even, premade players that have one toxic, only has that toxic player manifesting in general (not based on statistics, but on personal feeling). Also as someone already pointed out, it takes some time to have reports processed.
: Blocking a players ONLY stops you from seeing their chat and they cannot send you friend requests. That is ALL it does.
Correct, but will prevent them from interacting with whom blocked them.
: I only left 1 game before that punishment and that was even in championselect because i knew i werent able to play a whole game before i had to leave from home.
> that was even in championselect First you talk about "/remake" which is in game, now you talk about "champion select"... Anyway, leave bust was added because ppl were exploiting the match making to be able to get the position and champion they wanted. But, you have a good solution, you can go play with your dog while waiting.
: Idea: Inactive player ranked ban
I agree with you, but not on such radical terms... Since we currently have the champion rating, rank games should only allow players to pick up champion in which they had at least 3 recent games with a minimum rating of B. Impact of it: -> Would force players to have a minimum experience with a champion they use in ranked; -> Would ensure that the player would not compromise the team; -> etc...

: is being bad should be reported?
Bad statistics is not meaning of bad game, and the other way around is also very true. It's just the easiest way to judge someone game. Also, bad statistics doesn't mean you lose a match. Actually, seen players that would have S as rating giving the game away due to a bad play. As far as I see it, that is far worse than a player that had a bad game doing exactly the oposite and being decisive in the last battle. Anyway, you can always block that player in the end screen.

+1 for an outgame reporting system: -> Possibility to report account sellers; -> Negative chat in groups -> Boosting -> Previous match reporting etc
