That's exactly what I mean, but does Burden of Knowledge not fit? It seems familiar, even while I'm not sure it's it.

: They're also considering changing his W hitbox back to the values he launched with, argument being it got made too reliable post launch unnecessarily while people were still learning him. Not sure how confident they are yet about that and the regen change being what will ship yet though.
Does it have to be all or nothing?
: I'm actually more intrigued by his interactions with Kayle and Morgana... Darkin relationship for those two confirmed?
My initial theory is that Kayle is an Ascended Darkin (essentially a traitor, unless she used something similar to the Sundisk) and that Morgana is a "true" Darkin who wasn't bound into a weapon, but still corrupted herself somehow else.

Aren't you worried you're overdoing it with the Tower Gold changes? Last patch already helped pushed the game in a more solo carry direction. These changes might drive solo champions over the edge and lead to more snowball than you'd want.

A suggestion for Zyra's plants would be having their damage ramp up over time or only after their first attack (alongside Health buffs). That way, players playing against Zyra can invest into killing them right away without being punished too much, but if you don't do that and Zyra CCs you, you'll reap what you sowed.

: Don't agree pillar cooldown would impact toplane the most - historically pillar cooldown has been most significant in botlane as a support. Regardless, I do think he's a bit sad right now in the toplane but too strong in the jungle for him to receive any straight buffs. I'll bring this up with a designer on Live on Monday, but as far as I know no one has plans to change Trundle at the moment.
: PBE Chat with the Playtest Team - 8.10
Posting a comment here just to be on the safe side: @Riot, I'm supposed to tell you from a friend that Trundle's E Pillar Cooldown is too long. Maybe you could revert or partially revert the 6.17 nerfs? His Top Lane win rate -- where a CDR buff would affect him the most -- is currently at 48%, so ... there's a justification if you need a justification. Otherwise you could maybe do it as a favor? Would totally appreciate it. Thanks, bros and gal bros.

Doran’s Ring is the opposite. You have more umpf in your spells, but unless you hit them on the enemy champion, you aren’t doing anything worthwhile with that power. So what you are telling me is that I should never go Doran's and always go corrupting potion since if I don't play perfectly Doran's is worst in every situation

: There’s something I don’t understand about the mana/minions changes
You have 96 Mana, 4 Mana Regen per 5 seconds and 5 **more** physical damage on-hit than you had before the Mana changes at level 1. You lost 5 Mana per unit kill, which -- if you CS perfectly -- still means you only lose 6 Mana Regen per wave. For each CS you miss that amount is reduced by 5, and for each 5 seconds you spend away from killing minions that amount is further reduced by 4. So miss one CS and spend one second away from a lane and you automatically have more Mana Regen than before the changes. At level 2 it's still 78.2 more Mana and 3.7 more Mana Regen per 5 seconds. Apply the numbers. Tl;dr: The situation you described in your post would have been much worse before the changes.

If someone on the balance teams ever needs an idea for a small balance project like Shyvanna's AP changes last patch, could they take a look at Urgot and Attack Speed compensation on his W?
: I think this overcomplicates Amumu. At current, he's a beginner jungler - he shouldn't have a large skill cap. Furthermore, if his W was a charge, it would make his Q redundant, and make his W unusable in team fights, as his main purpose is to get in, get enemies to stay put, and slowly corrode their HP while your team lays waste to them. He's pretty unique in that aspect, because there aren't a lot of champions that have his play style that are also tanks.
The intention is still for him to do all of that. His Q wouldn't be redundant because it's a 1100 range, hard-CC gap closer while the suggested W is only 650 range of running in a straight line with a little bonus Movement Speed and ignoring unit collison. He needs to already be in the fray for it to work. So Q -> R -> E -> W -> E would probably be a common combo. But if Q doesn't put you in a good enough spot and your Flash isn't up, Q -> W -> R -> E -> W.

: Not particularly worried. It spawns late enough that there's a pretty heavy cost to take it from what we've seen. As with other jungle camps, some of the value of taking it is amplified by jungle items so it's less worthwhile if you don't have a Talisman/Machete.
: Upcoming Jungle Changes for 8.10
Are you worried about niche lane champions being able to take the first Scuttle right away for an early lead, or maybe with Smite and Unsealed Spellbook? Edit: I looked some things up in the wiki to answer this myself. It should only be worth it if you can kill Scuttle before the melee minions of your first wave die because those three combined are worth a little more exp than Scuttle on its own. The only rewards you would get otherwise are a little more gold and denying Scuttle from both Junglers. Since it's random where Scuttle spawns, this doesn't seem like a reliable tactic. I doubt any mid laner can deal 1200 damage (with Smite) and get back to lane in time for this.

You'll be making a lot of changes with very little review time, followed by (what I assume will be) immediate adjustments on the first or second patch afterwards **alongside** additional changes (8.9: Mage changes, 8.10: Mage adjustments + solo gold changes, 8.11: further Mage adjustments + universal adjustments because of solo gold changes + Marksmen changes, 8.12: lots and lots of adjustments + whatever else you have planned). This seems pretty chaotic. When the dust settles in 8.13, can you please take some time to reflect on all of this to spot any possible mistakes and avoid long-term problems?
: Varus should be able to activate W during his Q charge up
Meddler (NA)
: I think we could probably do a little bit more with supportive skillshots. Biggest issue to overcome is that some designs (heals in particular) make it so that the best play is 'ask your ally to just not move for a moment'. That means allied skillshots should generally be things that you mainly want to use in combat, so they're still skillshots, not just a communication test. Lux (shield) and Ezreal (attack speed) work for that reason.
Semi-delayed skillshots like a ranged Rakan's passive (triggers on first contact) or ranged Sona passive (triggers once per ally) could be helpful in solving that, right? You still have to get it close to your ally, but if they move away because of poor communication, they still have a chance to fix their mistake.

No. According to what was posted in the other thread it would be: Zeal no longer gives move speed, but the ADC move speed is buffed. Zeal has less attack speed but ADC level 1 attack speed has been increased and gain more attack speed... regeneration. Vamp Scepter has more stats but has a more obnoxious cost.
You gotta adjust it to Marksmen, though, they work and scale differently than Mages.

: I really like this concept and it expresses a unique feature as an active that is like adding a new ability. For the effect of conquer and it's synergy with AD Bruisers already being able to significantly shred through tanks, the item and its description seems a little behind. I would think it would have been considered seriously if it was suggested before the meta changing conqueuer patch. Do you have any other items? I would like to read into those cause this is pretty detailed
Uhm, sure. [Hextech DMCA-04](https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/8vcm0UEP-item-concept-hextech-dmca-04) -- a Tank Support Item that is supposed to counter AoE damage in a limited zone. [Scuttler's Shell](https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/eaBejhEV-item-concept-scuttlers-shell) -- an Armor component item with a Block effect and cool upgrades potential. [Holy Grail](https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/aFHAiKrH-item-concept-holy-grail) -- a Support item that has an active similar to Yorick's old ult. I also made a pretty extensive [Twisted Treeline Itemization Update Suggestion thread](https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/W15qXHzp-twisted-treeline-itemization-update-suggestion), if you're interested in that.
: thats fioras ult. i was thinking of doing something similar with bone plating. basically give the champion shields on 4 sides, and have them absorb one instance of damage like right now and the be destroyed. at the same time the shields are put on an individual cooldown.
You have to hit the same side three times over 9 seconds, not all four corners within 8 seconds.
: It was actually more a matter of principle wherein if we broke ranged/melee expectations for champions, what's the point of the distinction and what kind of can of worms is being opened up insofar as power creep and intuitiveness of the game are concerned.
I'm not sure you're allowed to mention power creep. That's a whole storage house full of worms, discussion-wise.

I *think* I found the quote I meant, but it doesn't confirm Ivern to be a Demigod. Players and Rioters spend a lot of time discussing what is and is not a Demigod in threads like this. In one thread WAAARGHbobo even says Aurelion is 'at best' a 'Demigod' (quote below) (this is taken out of context from an interesting discussion). So apparently, the only current beings that are officially classified as 'Demigods' are the members of the Freljordian Pantheon (Orrn, Voli, Anivia) (correct me if I'm wrong). Here is the Ivern quote from FauxSchizzle, it comes from [this thread by Sharjo about Ornn's short story](https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/story-art/MEorUn4L-ornn-short-story-the-lost-tales-of-ornn?show=nested) 8 months ago: > [{quoted}](name=FauxSchizzle,realm=NA,application-id=6kFXY1kR,discussion-id=MEorUn4L,comment-id=000b000000010000,timestamp=2017-08-08T20:51:41.453+0000) > > This is wading into tricky territory, but Ivern the Cruel found an interesting way to reach divinity when he chopped down the God-Willow.
