Larger amounts with smaller purchases are even worse. Now, since Riot is a tech company I assume their profit margins are somewhat large, but overall a 1-10% donation for every purchase is a *significant* cut into their profits, especially for a business whose primary profit comes from microtransactions. > > For reference, many credit cards charge around 2% for a transaction fee. American express charges 3% and that makes many companies not accept it. > > These numbers seem small, but when you factor in other costs, companies are not making 100% of their sales as profit. That 3% leftover RP seems like not much, but if they have to use 70% (an EXTREMELY profitable business) of what they make to cover costs, that leaves 30% profit, of which to follow along with this suggestion they would have to give 3%, leading to a 10% drop in profit. It gets increasingly worse the smaller their profit margin. > > It sounds really nice, my wasted RP becomes charity? Awesome! But the reality is that for this to be worthwhile it would have to boost their sales by a proportional account. We know that that is definitely not going to happen. At least nowhere near enough to cover their losses from adopting this proposal. > > Let’s say you run an apple selling business. It’s small, it’s mediocre, but you make a few bucks. Someone has put in money for you to buy your cart and whatnot, he just wants to double his investment over 10-20 years. Anyway. It costs you $100 dollars to buy raw materials at the beginning of the day. Over the course of the day you have $120.59 of sales. $100 covers your costs, but your labor and renting the space for the day costs $20 dollars. Someone pitches you an initiative to be a charitable man and to donate the spare change left at the end of the day. It’s only $0.59 after all! But would you look at that, it turns out, by sheer coincidence, that the businesses entire profit is actually that $0.59! On some days, in fact, giving away the leftover cents could cause you to have a net loss! > > For reference, Amazon had 306 transactions per second in 2012. A 1 cent donation per transaction would lead to them losing 3.06 dollars a second. That’s 265 thousand dollars a day. For a company like amazon, the name of the game is massive distribution and a low low profit margin. They might actually be making pennies off of each transaction. > > When it comes to gasoline, for example, the profit isn’t in the pennies, but in the fractions of pennies per gallon. There’s a reason they post $2.39&¢7/10 > > TL;DR: What seems like a small donation to you is actually far larger and far more unreasonable when you account for their costs. Now this makes a lot of sense.

Wait you genuinely think RP is real currency? Sorry i can't tell if you are serious or not. Nevermind, read the rest of the thread. Still baffles me you thought so.
: Add a dodge button during champion select
I have been meaning to create a post like this. I was thinking riot could add a dodge function in which the team could vote on whether they wanted to dodge or not. If the vote is successful you lose a little bit of LP but you don't have to deal with the dodge timer.
: > [{quoted}](name=Wimbledofy,realm=NA,application-id=yrc23zHg,discussion-id=AJGBEaam,comment-id=0007,timestamp=2019-05-03T03:21:36.329+0000) > > If you want to donate money to a charity then do it. You can't donate RP to a charity because RP is not money. This isn't a great idea in any form, this is a terrible idea that makes no sense. Your idea is to basically donate monopoly money. Saying Riot should allow you to take your leftover RP to donate and that Riot would give X amount worth of money based on RP "donated" just means they lose out on a ton of money for no reason. Isn't it our right to do what we want with the RP we have? Basically, you're saying, you would pay 20$ for something that's 17$, just because they can't give you change.
> [{quoted}](name=Biscuit Bite,realm=EUNE,application-id=yrc23zHg,discussion-id=AJGBEaam,comment-id=00070000,timestamp=2019-05-03T03:33:13.125+0000) > > Isn't it our right to do what we want with the RP we have? Basically, you're saying, you would pay 20$ for something that's 17$, just because they can't give you change. RP is not money, you can't convert RP into currency and feed the poor.
: Donate to Charity Extra RP that's left.
So essentially riot is giving away part of their profit to charity? When you purchase RP the funds go to riot games (and maybe a percentage to some middle man but that is not essential to my point). So when you decide to give away your excess RP (which is a virtual currency and has no real pragmatic value) riot is expected to actually donate their money away?

: There was some supposed work in progress on making zed better in higher ranks eg more potential. How is that coming along. Out of all energy champions he has the highest cool down and his W just centralizes his kit around it. It's his damage. His escape his engage and his energy refund. He also has the least reliable energy refund for an energy champion with the longest downtime He's just super unreliable in team fights because of that and his q aoe damage falloff which is devastating at 40 percent. His 1v1 damage is fine and all. I would like if some power is taken out of his cheesy passive. Possibly replaced with something that gives him.more potential. His passive makes him a bit too easy to use in lower ranks due to being the best at last hitting minions Relying the champion on landing multiple single target qs is absurd there are too many situations where that's simply improbable or impossible Also. Consider removing ninja tabs as it is killing adc and ad assassin damage. It's a big reason why makes are rampant in many roles including but Lane. That is or we need boots that give percent spell reduction

And a blast to play, as long as {{champion:223}} this fucker isn't in the game. > common mistakes players facing an Akali make: > > 1) when laning against Akali, they seem to think her lane phase is weak. Hint, it is not. Without going to indepth, Akali has 4 lane patterns (poke, burst, damage per second, pressure), and she doesn't do any of those as good as champions specialized in them, but she doesn't do it to badly either. As such, she has options. > > 2) she heals a lot. No, she doesn't. You just don't know how to trade. > I highly recommend you watch some youtube guides about how the champion you are using is trading in lane ;) > > 3) Akali is a braindead champion a monkey could play, trash point and click champion. Yes, Akali is point and click, which means, her avenue of failure comes from her usage of her invisibility, and that her damage is going to be more consistent, meaning, she will fuck up less than your random Zed player. Which in turn means: she's better than your stupidly complicated champion. > You got the upper hand in trying to outplay me, but if you suck, you die. > > 4) Akali is super strong at 6, no she isn't. I mean, sure, in her lane she gets a power spike at 6, a power spike at {{item:3145}} another one at {{item:3146}} another one at {{item:2420}} another one at {{item:3157}} . But she isn't going to carry the game at 6, the best its going to be a kill on the enemy laner that is over extending. She can still be defeated at 6+, albeit, she did get stronger tho. > > 5) Akali never falls off. Another often made mistake. Actually, Akali starts to fall off, like all assassins, post 2 major items. And that's because, Akali, like most assassins, is squishy, and has no way to deal with CC or proper peal. When the adc has got 3 items, when the mage has 3 items, when the tank has 3 items. Akali no longer has the luxury or randomly jumping in as the slightest mistake will mean her death. > Yes, this is Akali's biggest weakness, team fights. > She excels at picking off the random adc or mage. But she loses team fights hard. And she also has trouble winning certain 1v1s, like vs maokai, or singed, or jax, or kennen, fuck kennen.% > > 6) We can fight Akali. The 6th mistake is the deadliest and is the reason why most Akali snowball out of control and why point 5) is a thing. > Akali's strongest point is at gunblade. I might be only slightly exaggerating with this but, Akali should be able to 1v1 about 90% of all champions assuming equal gold and level, when she gets her gunblade (around 10-15 minutes). > Futhermore, even if you got a support with you, Akali is highly likely to be able to 1v2 and kill the adc, then, maybe kill the support as well. NOTE, ITS NOT SAFE AWAY FROM TOWERS AND AWAY FROM YOUR TEAM IF YOU PLAY ADC. You and your support should only walk around areas with vision and stay near turrets, until you get to 2+ items (unless you started to snowball as an adc, then you shit on her as long as your support peals). > > That's what I got to say. Also note: > For junglers - Akali often uses W (invisibility) in lane for trading, occasionally for farming. Meaning, if you are patient, she is gank-able. > For adcs - you can't 1v1 or 2v1 Akali until 3+ major items, at 1 and 2 major items, even at 2 halfs ( {{item:3145}} + {{item:3144}} ), Akali is going to 1v2 you are your support. If you see her, run under your turret and hope your support is not {{champion:157}} . > For laners - don't underestimate Akali, you can try to punish her in lane by trading, but remember, she can trade back. However, she often uses her W for trades if you aren't melee yourself. Which means, when she uses W, you back out. And when the W runs out, you got 10 seconds of priority over her. > For supports - if your adc is missing braincells and doesn't stay in areas covered by vision which can track akali if she were to decide to kill them in the mid game so they can just run away, just ignore your looney toon adc, and support your other team members (like your mid laner). > > For squishes in general: you aren't safe under tower in 1v1 scenarios, unless you got some easy form of cc. If you got that, don't waste it randomly and keep it until Akali tries to dive you. If she doesn't dive? well, then you are happy because the longer the game lasts, the lower Akali's ability to win the game is. i like how you mention dont be near akali when she has 2k gold worth of items she will 1 vs 2 you an your support, like ok an thats balanced how?
gunblade and zhonyas is 2k worth items? Are we playing the same game?

lol, she falls of late game. If you cant punish the fact that she needs to jump right infront of you to deal damage during the lategme you deserve to lose.

She needs the Azir/Yorick/Poppy treatment where she's dumpstered to the point of being unplayable until her eventual rework. Agreed, but she isn't the only one. Fiora, Malz, Kalista (she is still viable because her passive is just that damn broken) Ezreal, J4, Kennen, and Kench all need to be dumpsted. All of them are oppressive champs that have fundamentally BS kits that will never be balanced. I would mention {{champion:157}} {{champion:92}} too, but that isn't ever going to happen because they are popular because they are cancer.
