i too had to play jngle as a top main ( sad and funny right ? xD ) tanks damage is very high mr runes we used to take no longer are there tanks require 0 skill ( most of them ) and cant be punished for mistakes A SOLUTION IS NEEDED :(
: It started to show it's problems around season 5. Nobody listened until season 6. Nobody cared until bramble was added in season 7, which drove a number of top players to quit. Edit: Oh I just realized, Riot still doesn't care.

: As a medium-low elo player, changes like this really suck for me. I main 3 top laners: jarvan 4, ornn, and gnar. None of the 3 are even strong, let alone OP, at my elo or any regular elo (i.e. below master). All 3 have sub 50% win rates in plat. Further, all 3, or at least 2 of the 3, are widely viewed as easy to play / accessible champions. They have pretty basic kits that should be good for low elo players. So why are all 3 being nerfed due to power in pro play? Why are allegedly easy to play champions struggling in low elo and dominating in extremely high elo? What has changed? It's pretty depressing to see a nerf to ornn when i was expecting a future buff, and nerfs being looked at for Gnar when i was expecting buffs. What has made these champions stronger in pro play? Is it that they're able to make a larger impact from their strategic / macro decisions? Maybe. .. but i think it's far more likely that it's their reliability. Traditionally low elo, easy to play, style champions are becoming high elo dominators because damage and mobility creep have resulted in reliability being the single most important thing in high elo. That's not a good trend to support, imo.
how is orn weak ?? he is beating every one at least in lane watching lcs i saw him 1v1 gnar more than twice in diff games in diff leagues i think he deserves NERFS but this one was harsh personally : maybe changing his damages tp physical /reducing his base shild and reverting the unstopable change might be a good idea ( of course its my personal opinion and i am not aprofessional )
: Most of my friends who played top are either giving up the role or the game as its no longer fun as all you ever see top lane are autofilled tanks. they out damage sustain and teamfight most other top laners and you basically cant play badly on them. More recently Ive seen people just playing lulu, janna and even rakan as its just such an un impactful role that its just being used by supports as they can afk farm against tanks and be as usual. As a fighter the items are more expensive then tank items and you get less for them. Youll probably look at this post and think "oh great one of these people" but someones got to say something otherwise we just get forgotten about and lied to. No sarcasm and troll intended just what ive experienced.
i abondoned top i even dodge when i get autofilled there because i want have fun not just play a brain dead tank and win lane

: I expect we'll have to look at Ornn again, both in terms of balance and strengths/weaknesses. Regarding the change to his W I don't think we've done a good enough job of communicating what actually changed there. Beforehand Ornn couldn't be displaced and, if hit by other types of CC, would be affected by the remaining duration when the W ended. After the change Ornn can be displaced and, if hit by other CC, is still affected by that after W ends. The W still cannot be canceled however, so it's still a good play often to use the W just as a stun hits for example to keep dealing damage when you'd otherwise be stunned. In terms of skill ceiling, yeah, the value of timing a W correctly against opponents with CC did go down a bit. Using W to continue to deal damage/move when you'd otherwise be affected by other CC is still clear point of mastery though. Additionally, looking at the challenges we're seeing with Ornn balance, I'm much more worried about him being too punishing for newer players/effective when mastered (think Ryze/Azir), than that he doesn't reward skilled play enough.
why not make all of orn damage physical his lane domination will decrese ( the change in this patch was harsh even too harsh )

: I don't think damage is an issue at all. Just the fact juggernauts don't really handle mobility creep very well, and lack target access makes them too unreliable to do their job. Like sure, Garen or Darius can be buffed to the point they shot me with an auto attack and be tanky, but how are they actually going to get on me to even land an auto attack? {{champion:51}} {{champion:22}} {{champion:236}} {{champion:222}} {{champion:498}} {{champion:67}} {{champion:110}} {{champion:18}} {{champion:429}} (and i'm just mentioning ADCs...) {{summoner:4}} ? EDIT: + tanks flat out do too much damage, juggernaut damage is fine, everything else needs toned down though.

the problem is just simple but riot wont fix it and i dont know what here is the problem : tanks outdamage bruisers in lane u cant beat them they are munch better than u early game with theyr sustain/shilds and MAGIK DAMAGE if u have a form of sustain ( like fiora as exmple ) they will simply buy RUMBLE VEST and outtrade you and of course they will be more useful than you in team fighting its a dead cass thats it right now even trundle looses vs tanks ( and im not talking about bronze ) sollution : remoube rumbe vest or give bruisers magik resist / a staring item that gives magik resist .......

They certainly dont have unstoppable buff, while they cast their top dps top defensive top bursting skill. Imagine that, {{champion:122}} Q would have % hp damage instead of bonus ad damage, it would also scale from his max hp, instead of healing him, which can be countered by quite a few items, it woul shield him for the amount it has right now and on top of that it would make him unstoppable for 1 second. A fucking dream I wish was true.

: skill expression isnt even a thing anymroe top. u either do, or u dont. there is no inbetween. u either get outstated and outpicked or u get camped. u either get perma cced by maokai every fight or u wait for a gank and have a chance at killing him. in a 1v1 he has too many gap closers slows and displacements on a short cooldown. u simply dont have a "window" to engage. u just go in and hope for the best since riot removed all skill from half the tank roster
