: Ashe: Warmother. Issue 4 Available now! (in special addition or free!)
I think you got a typo in the title, edit it as long as you can ;)
: How old is Xin?
His writer confirmed him to be in his early 40s on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/SkiptoMyLuo/status/1108423648195440640). IDK what to think of that either :D
: Xin Zhao Got Younger?
He is indeed younger than we expected, his writer confirmed him to be in the early 40s ([Twitter](https://twitter.com/SkiptoMyLuo/status/1108423648195440640)\).
: So, we finally got the last issue of the Warmother comic and it has been a worthy ending for the first comic. First, I’m actually impressed how Sejuani was able to steal the spotlight the moment she came into the frame. I freaking love her whole presence in the comic. She is beautiful, she is badass, and she is a person with real emotions. The comic not only expended on Ashe but gave us such a better understanding about Sejuani. The fight between Ashe and Sejuani broke my poor heart. Overall, the moment when Sejuani declared Ashe as her battle sister was the moment it all turned to the worst for both of them. Sejuani was ready to do everything for Ashe and the first reaction Ashe gives her is hesitation. It broke my heart to see this kind of hesitation. I understand why Ashe could not watch to see innocent people get slaughtered. It was the right call to save them but it cost them their friendship. Not gonna lie, I felt a little bit cheated to see Sejuani coming back to her village, knowing this will be the point she will take the place as Warmother and not to see that will happen. This turning point for Sejuani deserves its own spotlight. Comic or Short Story? I don’t care but I want it. So but I have a few question with this final issue. 1. I want to know how this telepathic link between the Frost priests works. It such a small sentence but I want to know more. Can everyone learn it? Does it work like the dream walking Lissandra uses? Which downsides have it? Can someone hide his intention? Or does make it a person like glass, unable to hide and shows everything about you? 2. Are Frost priest are position only for male Iceborns? Since we saw a handful in the comic and these have been only male so far. 3. How difficult is it to break an Oath? Ashe and Sejuani are Battlesisters and we know that oaths are not taken lightly in Freljord. What would happen if Sejuani would kill Ashe? Is it completely meaningless now or does an oath has some kind of hidden magic, maybe? 4. I guess Urkath will be one of Sejuani’s bloodsworn? In “Silence for the Damned” it was mention that Sejuani has bloodsworns and he clearly tries to woo her. Which favor does he own to Sejuani? 5. How difficult is it to break True Ice? We can see that the broken helmet which Sejuani wears ingame is still unbroken in the comic. We know the helmet somehow got broken during the time her mother died. So could that happen to possible every True Ice Weapon? Or does it have some deeper meaning which could be used to fuel Sejuani’s claim as true ruler of the Freljord? Anyway, thank you Odin for delivering writing such an amazing comic and it was a blast to read. I can’t wait to see your work on Zed, especially since I expect a lot of information about Shadow Magic. Maybe I will be the person who does that big Feedback Discussion this time.

Comic or Short Story? I don’t care but I want it. She is still missing a color story, and I would love to see that explored further. Also, her relationship with Udyr. How Kalkia left the Winter's Claw (presumably for Udyr) and how she came back to take control, then how Udyr joins Sejuani, his step-daughter.
: Would that fit in the timeline? im not j4 expert.
He's 30, maybe 31 in "For Demacia", which is the most recent event that we know of. Sylas stuff could be a few years later, no indication on that.
: How old is Xin?
We estimate he started to serve J3 with 25, now he is 45 or even older. Remember, he is almost as old as J3 (estimated to be ~50 now).

Then I started writing out mission goals and somehow this 1000-word-post came out. It's my first time posting here, and tbh I don't want to continue, but if you want to... Rioter Comments
: Mundo means world in Latin. I think making an entire argument on "their name means something in english" is a little shortsighted. Most of them are just for fun. Like riven literally meaning broken, lux meaning light in latin, udyr beast in german(?), etc. There are others but they're just there for a bit of on the nose humor.
Udyr has no meaning in german. A quick search of other nordic languages in Google Translator reveals that apparently it's norwegian or danish for "beasts".
Death Rex (EUW)
: Voiceline Corporate Mundo desperatly needs:
IDK if there is a champ that has voicelines for shutdown gold, but considering that they have so many different things that can trigger voicelines (rally team from behind, kill X champ, move in a specific area, kill Y objective,...) it should be possible to implement it. Please do!
zounet (EUW)
: Can voidborns go into the "true" void?
I don't think they can. After all, they are made out of matter which is a big no-no in the true void. Simply by _existing_ they are bound to Runeterra.
zounet (EUW)
: question about the spirit world
I think it would be parts of the whole. So all lifeforms in Ionia have their own, weak spirits, but together they form ~~Liz~~ the Spirit of Ionia. Going by this logic, that would mean the spirit of "humanity" exists and is made up of all the spirits of all humans. Whether we could see that in a story, that's another question.
: Reaching, but it _sorta_ looks to me like a spookydead version of this fella. https://am-a.akamaihd.net/image?f=https%3A%2F%2Funiverse-meeps.leagueoflegends.com%2Fv1%2Fassets%2Fimages%2Fpiltover_people_03.jpg&resize=:1200 I dunno what kinda demon dick I need to suck to embed a fucking picture but here's also the dude's snippet: JAGO MEDARDA The current master of Clan Medarda, Jago commands immense respect and power throughout Piltover. With the revenue generated by his father's piston patents, Jago is funding research into using hextech to speed the opening and closing of the Sun Gates. Probs nothing, just the coat caught my eye immediately as I was perusing the Piltover stuff.
That URL is not working, but redirects to universe-meeps anyway. It's easier when you convert it by hand, then you can just paste the URL and it embeds automatically. https://universe-meeps.leagueoflegends.com/v1/assets/images/piltover_people_03.jpg Also, good catch. It looks like him, but we can't be sure if it's him or just some random guy and they used that as inspiration.

Yeah that might have been a little too early. It _could_ be a teaser, but it's also possible that they just changed her splash for whatever reason. As you can see, the two images are from different domains (ddragon and universe-meeps) so it might be a sync problem on their side?
: Good job, this looks like a teaser for our new support! Here is the universe image: https://universe-meeps.leagueoflegends.com/v1/assets/images/camille_splash.jpg I don't have the old one, but if you look at it in your client, the window is clearly not broken.

That's the one loaded up on universe. It might look a little different because they apply effects and filters, but this is the base image they used, I took the URL from their source code.

: Blitzcrank Changes Heading to PBE
Those changes sound really promising, I look forward to trying them out on the PBE! This integrates his W more in his basic rotation (more AS for more marks) and makes his ult hits less random while preserving the core functionality. Reducing the hit damage is fine imo, as you get to proc it more reliable and possibly more often. I like the increased AP Ratio though ;) {{sticker:katarina-love}} Switching the passive to max Mana is definitely the right call, but is it possible that we can also get the cooldown reduced with level? Maybe 105/90/75/60 on levels 1/6/11/16 or something along these lines? Finally, for future red posts, I encourage you to look at this [Boards Markup Guide](https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/community-moderation/mouP6um4-boards-usage-guide-part-1-boards-markup). This way you can use **_*~~New~~*_** and _***~~Removed~~***_ to enhance your posts and make them look more like the patchnotes! Wuks and the other developers have done such a great job with the colors but I almost never see them in use, so I encourage everyone to use it!
: Question on swains arm?
I would not say the arm gave him demon powers, but it's the other way around: He got demon powers and the demon conveniently replaced bis arm. This demon works with information. We don't know much more about it.

: How long? The exact time matters, I am 11 months, 19 days, 3 hours and 43 seconds younger than my sister. SHE IS NOT A YEAR OLDER THAN ME! {{sticker:sg-syndra}}
Much less than that. > Not long after, the twins were born. Kayle, the elder by a breath, was as bright as Morgana was dark. [_*~~Source: Kayle's Biography~~*_](https://universe.leagueoflegends.com/en_US/story/champion/kayle/)
Jellbug (NA)
: Hi! I think you've got it overall. Kayle and Morgana are not technically Aspects of Justice -- that's their mother, who merged with the Celestial being and lost some of her own identity in the process. When Mihira, their mother, ascended Targon, the Aspect of Justice chose her because she had demonstrated justice in her own life -- and because she was pregnant with Kayle and Morgana. Mihira did not know she was pregnant, but the Aspect did. The twins always had inherent qualities of justice, and this was part of why they were granted powers. Their views and beliefs of justice are complimentary and balanced when they work together, but opposing and even antagonistic when they are in conflict. Thanks for the question!
> "Even when they learned Mihira was with child, they could not turn back. Finally, where Runeterra touches the stars, Kilam watched in wonder and fear as Mihira was chosen to embody the Aspect of Justice." [Morgana's Bio](https://universe.leagueoflegends.com/en_US/story/champion/morgana/) That seems to contradict your statement > "Mihira did not know she was pregnant, but the Aspect did." I also had the same feeling from Kayle's Bio, that they knew but didn't turn back anyway. Can we have a clarification here?
The Iceborn (EUNE)
: Children of the Frostguard - Orphans
I have 2 things for the second question. If we assume that being iceborn is mostly genetic (that's not given, but we know it could be one factor) then we can deduce it is X-Dominant. A "pure-blood" iceborn mother always produces iceborn children, but the daughter may only have one iceborn chromosome and only pass it on with 50% (if the father is not iceborn). An iceborn father can have half-blood daughters with a normal woman, but no iceborn sons. Most of that is not important to the question, but it tells us the scenario you presented is unlikely. (And I thought you might want to see this, because I don't recall you seeing this discussion). What I think would happen: They tell them everythings going to be alright, the child can stay here, the mother needs to go somewhere else but will visit soon. Then the mother has an ""accident"".
: If Dawnbringer Riven is the aspect of Justice, then Morgana and Kayle are her daughters.
Riven is not the aspect of justice, at least not in the main universe. Kayle and Morgana are not connected to that universe in any way. Dawnbringer Riven is Order, not Justice.
: Please bring back insights please
With Kayle and Morgana, I looked back to some of the older release pages and I was stunned by what Riot August had to say about Ekko. This dude is a great designer, but that's beside the point: Why don't you do that anymore? The same for AMAs. They provide valuable background information and lore facts, and offer the team a chance to answer some of the player questions instead of just being shouted at. (See: Kayles Armor)
: I thought this needed to be shared.
I am not sure I would recognize Garen and Katarina in the demo clip. It could be any assassin/ bad girl with a knight / good guy. These tropes are not uncommon. #HOWEVER No one can tell me that this is not Katarina: https://static1.squarespace.com/static/56a895114bf11834601ac8ba/5c5b2b1d71c10be1ddb3faf0/5c6314097817f7a04b657279/1549997093246/Pose_001.jpg and this armor looks suspiciously Demacian: https://static1.squarespace.com/static/56a895114bf11834601ac8ba/5c5b2b1d71c10be1ddb3faab/5c5b2b1d71c10be1ddb3faac/1538087565165/Beat_001.jpg?format=2500w So in the end you're right, I just think I found an even better argument.
: #Loreworms How many forms of ascention and corruption exist in Runeterra?
Well in your broad terms there is another possibility for Darkin: You can ascend by wielding a powerful Darkin weapon and fight the Darkin within (Base Kayn) as well as conquering a Darkin weapon (SA Kayn). Of course, there is also the possibility that you lose, and the Darkin conquers you. That would make your body more powerful, but because you lose your identity at this point, I would classify it as Corruption. Then you can not just be Iceborn, there are other Elemental-Born as well (Hearthblood= Fireborn?) though it looks like this could be genetic as well.
: #Loreworms How many forms of ascention and corruption exist in Runeterra?
What would you define as ascension and corruption? Because I would say that both spirits that possess someone (e.g. Ivern) and spirit gods (e.g. Janna) are not ascended.

She is the daughter of the head of the tribe. [Edit:] I meant Taliyah of course
: I think its going to be about the whole magic fiasco. And her relationship with Garen
This + the Illuminators maybe. They stated in the video that they will explore her relationship with her brother, but what will be the plot for that? And since it's set in the present time Demacia, what is the ongoing plot there?
: Im fairly sure the void hasn't infected the Shadow Isles. (Does make one wonder, between the roots of the void and the mist of the shadow isles, which would infect which first?)
The Black Mist is "just" a Runeterra problem. The Void is undoing all creation. So I would say the Void wins.

: I'm pretty sure that Phillip Vargas, the writer, confirmed that Jhin is in an abandoned theater in Piltover. Also it would not make sense for Camille to travel this far - she's watching over Piltover, why would she care about some killer in some distant land over the sea?
Yup, here it is: [Twitter](https://twitter.com/phillip_vargas/status/1087543155333816320?s=19)
Zapzya (OCE)
: Let me just unpack the revelations that come from this. Jhin is in Piltover, or Camille is in Ionia and has taken a large amount of guards/ police with her. Jhin has for some reason allowed Camille to find him, or has been unable to shake her and set up for a final showdown. Either he was unprepared and loses easily, which I seriously doubt (it would break my suspension of disbelief that this legendary serial killer would go down so easy), or we haven't seen the end of the battle and he has another trick up his sleeve. Ionia has once again been invaded by Noxus. Yasuo has been redeemed after the events of Confessions of a Broken Blade and fights with Irelia. Given what we know, nothing else seems out of place among the Ionians. Noxus has decided to deploy Sion. Hopefully Swain is a little more strategic than Darkwill, but this battle doesn't say much about that. Riven has likely been captured in the Ionian Invasion 2 and shipped to Noxus. She is then forced to fight in the arena. We don't know why, but presumably the fight between her and Draven is to the death. One of them is probably going to die. I don't know how Riven gets out of this situation unless she was promised freedom if she won, but I don't know if that's how Noxus works. Noxus might offer her a place in the army, but freedom? Seems unlikely to me.
I'm pretty sure that Phillip Vargas, the writer, confirmed that Jhin is in an abandoned theater in Piltover. Also it would not make sense for Camille to travel this far - she's watching over Piltover, why would she care about some killer in some distant land over the sea?

10 years after the Battle of the Placidium, 7 years after the end of the first invasion, 6 years after Confessions of a Broken Blade
Jinto (OCE)
: Necrit already explained why Awaken cannot be canon. Saying that there's still a lot of stories to tell is kind of a cheap way of saying "anything is possible". By saying that is like saying Skarner is the true killer of Yasuo's master is plausible just because "there's still a lot of stories to tell". Here's the video though, super well done, do recommend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViQ0wJ6vOQo
So you're saying Necrit knows better than Scathlocke?
Ifneth (NA)
: I considered this problem before and even made a forum post about it. *The Bird and The Branch* happens after the Ionian invasion, with Taliyah being brought to Ionia by a disgraced captain rather than, say, a landing fleet. Therefore, the Battle of the Placidium, referenced in *Confessions of A Broken Blade*, indeed happened years beforehand, and the story itself happens at the same time as *Bloodline*. The timeline is therefore that, while Taliyah is discovering her powers, Noxus invades Ionia. During the invasion, Singed deploys his gas, horrifying Riven, who flees the field to have the master of Yasuo, who had left to fight the Noxians, break her blade, but accidentally kills him. Also, Irelia defeats Swain at the Battle of The Placidium, and Yasuo returns to discover he’s been blamed for his master’s death, and goes into hiding. By then, Taliyah has just grown old enough to dance under the stars and find a teacher, but she cannot control her weaving and leaves to find someone who can help. She is little more than sixteen when the Noxians trick her into coming to their empire, and soon after, that captain tricks a stoneweaver desperate to escape into going to Ionia. It is there that she’s ordered to bury sleeping villagers or drown and chooses the latter but swims ashore, trekking inland to meet Yasuo, who has been on the run for a while. Taliyah stays with him to train for a while, but then hears of Azir having arisen and leaves to hurry home. Over the next few months, Taliyah journeys through the Freljord, sails to Nashramae, surfs to Vekaura, helps Nasus save it from Xerath, and returns to Shurima to find her family. Meanwhile, Yasuo learns that his master’s killer has been caught and attends her trial. At the present moment, Taliyah has just entered Shurima, nearly seventeen, and Riven returned to her adoptive family.

This is correct, it is definitely towards the end or even after they were officially ordered to retreat, as indicated by _Confessions of a Broken Blade_, which is 1 year after the war. _The Bird and the Branch_ and also spans a little less than a year in her story and it is some time before that, placing the beginning just around the end of the invasion. > [{quoted}](name=Ifneth,realm=NA,application-id=6kFXY1kR,discussion-id=MppOhA0v,comment-id=0003,timestamp=2019-02-23T11:46:21.420+0000) > > Therefore, the Battle of the Placidium, referenced in *Confessions of A Broken Blade*, indeed happened years beforehand, and the story itself happens at the same time as *Bloodline*. Yes, the Battle of the Placidium happened 3 years before the official end of the war, but I would place _Bloodline_ some time after _Confessions_. _Confessions_ is some months after _The Bird and the Branch_, but Taliyah needs to complete her journey through the Freljord back to Shurima first. If we're being generous, she just boarded the ship which brings her back to Shurima while Yasuo finds Riven. > [{quoted}](name=Ifneth,realm=NA,application-id=6kFXY1kR,discussion-id=MppOhA0v,comment-id=0003,timestamp=2019-02-23T11:46:21.420+0000) > > The timeline is therefore that, while Taliyah is discovering her powers, Noxus invades Ionia. Meanwhile, Yasuo learns that his master’s killer has been caught and attends her trial. At the present moment, Taliyah has just entered Shurima, nearly seventeen, and Riven returned to her adoptive family. I think you are severely underestimating how long it would take for her to complete such a journey. Yes, on her way back she can use her "passive" because she learned to control her powers, but it would still take 7-8 months minimum. Also, her journey ends in Bel'Zhun, not in Nashramae. If she was in Nashramae, she could go south to Zuretta and then head straight for the capital. The last bit about Riven is also wrong, because that's 6 years ago in the universe. We might see what happened during that time because they hinted at a second Invasion where Riven might get captured in "Awaken", though the events shown there are not yet canon. By your estimation, _Bloodline_ is also 6 years ago (and therefore Taliyah is 22/23 in the present), by my estimation it's only 5. So as a conclusion, I agree with most of the key events, but your travel time estimations are way too low.

Yes, they are, and Riot recently said they will release new lore _every two weeks_ with the new patch! : A Critique on Scathlocke/Lore Team's view on Good and Evil
In my opinion, they just overshoot it. Obviously, they are trying to correct older black and white stories into more gray stuff - which is fine! Skull bastion, anyone? I prefer current Noxus to "hurr durr we bad and kill", because it's much more fleshed out and also morally gray. The _problem_ is that it's a little to much and Noxus are almost portrayed as the good guys, while Demacia turned racist. They went from Black / White to Gray / Gray and just kept going till they hit White / Black. The basic notion of showing the bad side of Demacia is fine, it's just too much!
