: Why is Blind Pick still part of the new player experience?
Blind pick needs to be replaced by matched normals, and there should be an option for normals that are completely random in elo.
: Remove minion block from allied minions
Own minion block is especially annoying when you are fighting dash or ranged Champs as a melee champ. It's already hard enough to deal with Yasou, Riven, Fiora, Ryze, Vayne, Quinn etc... I don't need to be blocked by my own minions too. While we are at it, could we also talk about fixing minion agro and tower agro? Like how dash Champs and ranged Champs are nearly immune to minion agro?
: How do you lose to Akali being a Darius abuser?
Because Akali shits on Darius from orbit. Akali shits on basically everything melee, even on Fiora, who can practically auto attack to death anything, but Akali, cuz you know it's hard to hit something that is either invisible, has flow from the middle of the lane all the way back behind her tower or is actually able to outrun Fiora, something basically no else can do.
: Anybody else feel like top lane is going to turn into the Sanguine Blade rush lane?
Yes. It's dumbass item that basically says "Play ranged or auto attack Champs or GTFO from top lane".
: So...The other 4 people losing shouldn't matter because you won lane...how?
That's not really what he is saying. But that most top laners simply cannot carry, no matter how far ahead they get. You can get First Blood, all plates, first tower, herald, mid tower and still lose the game because your botlane fed their ADC 8/0 by minute 13 who then proceeds to obliterate you in team fights. The reverse is rarely true. A lost top lane almost never actually means a lost game.
mack9112 (NA)
: It was a refreshing change to the champion created a lot more unique interactions. People just have to relearn the range which they dislike.
You mean the range that so idiotic that if any ADC playing against Blitz even thinks about poking gets grabbed? You mean the range that allows him to grab you across two walls in the jungle if he has vision? You mean the range that allows him to grab you from behind your Tower while he is standing outside tower range? That range?
: Fun fact, in first iterations for a kit for her, they actually tried to build a dash into her kit. xD
69VBucks (EUW)
: bring banner of command back season 10
I wouldn't mind if they removed ZZ and Ohm as long as they left Raptor Cloak in, even if it literally doesn't build into anything. It is the only early utility armor item for AD top laners. Just leave it alone Rito.
Neriticc (EUW)
: ADC is such a weak role guys?
What exactly is your point here? Are ADCs too strong or too weak? Yes. The entire meta is a coin toss now. Every position. Skill plays into it of course, but the game is usually not "won" by anyone, but lost by the team that gets that dude who goes 0/4 by minute 8 and gives the enemy team a snowball.
: How to Increase Aatrox's Skill Floor Without Making him OP in High-End Play
The reason why Aatrox is either overpowered or useless is that his Q is a ridiculously loaded ability. It's AOE and fairly long range. It can be chained fairly easily and it has CC on it. It's an ability that comes out overloaded at lvl 1. If you get ahead, you destroy everything in a single combo chain, under tower, and there's nothing people can do. If you fall behind, you will be mostly useless and everyone will roll over you. Fact. Aatrox's damage unto itself is not really out of line. Fact. Aatrox needs a sustain buff to be relevant. So really what Aatrox needs is his sustain back, and unloading a lot of power from his Q and putting it onto areas.
: Here is my list of OP champs: It's accurate: {{champion:84}} {{champion:22}} {{champion:53}} {{champion:63}} {{champion:51}} {{champion:122}} {{champion:119}} {{champion:245}} {{champion:114}} {{champion:105}} {{champion:86}} {{champion:420}} {{champion:24}} {{champion:222}} {{champion:145}} {{champion:43}} {{champion:10}} {{champion:141}} {{champion:64}} {{champion:99}} {{champion:54}} {{champion:82}} {{champion:111}} {{champion:518}} {{champion:56}} {{champion:80}} {{champion:555}} {{champion:92}} {{champion:50}} {{champion:67}} {{champion:8}} {{champion:498}} {{champion:157}} {{champion:238}} {{champion:142}} Thats kinda sad and I bet theirs some I missed.
Funny how you omitted Kled. The literal better Fiora.
Hi im 12 (EUNE)
: you're right about the arguments behind why these would be good against garen but garen still beats all of them because of how busted his numbers are lmao
If you lose to Garen on a Kayle, Vayne, Illaoi, Darius or Tryndamere that's 100% you. Not to mention Teemo. Gnar and Kled also still very much counter Garen. Then again Kled counters everything atm both top and mid.
Beotoduh (EUW)
: got picked into riven vs garen last game, couldnt do noooooooothing, fully dived and unable to even do anything to him xd was heavily tilted, so unless i counterpick him he wins lane?
There's like 2 Champs that Garen can hard counter. Riven and Irelia.
Beotoduh (EUW)
: tbh i dont mind his kit, the most annoying is him being able to fully trade with u while having % dmg reduction, but the most is his ult having 0 drawbacks, darius needs to stack 5 times until he can do it, why cant garen do similar thing?(not stacks but different mechanic) its really annoying if u go from half health, silence>ult=0 health. whats the counter to that? not be in range?
Have you ever played against Chogath? It's literally the same, Garen's ult and Silence is just weaker, he also has no CC or slow. So basically if you are under 40% HP and you aren't tanky or have a lot of regen, back.
: No one has talked about this melee champion buffs yet
So... Kayle will shit on top lane even harder now. "Melee" until 6, while Doran's is relevant, than ranged once it isn't. Thanks Rito.
: Tank items are fine. The majority of top laners build them and lot of jgs too. Also ignoring the fact tanks have been op this season like nunu despite them ONLY being good with tank items. Go and play tanks since you clearly don't.
Wut. Majority of top laners build tank items? Wut. Are you counting Death's Dance, Steraks, Deadman's and Zhonya's as tank items? The only tank item that is fairly regularly built is Spirit Visage. And mostly because its passive has good synergy with Conq users and any Champs that have healing in their kits and runes. Usually built as 3rd or 4th item. Unless you are Mundo, then you can build it as 2nd item.
: Adaptive Helm
Every single MR item needs a buff or MR needs a nerf across the board. Adaptive Helm is like one of 3 MR items that is actually pretty decent even in its current state.
: Role queue actually lowers matchmaking quality.
Or. Just remove auto fill already and deal with the queue times. I'd prefer to wait 30 minutes before every single game and play what I want over being forced into a role or champ I don't want to play and spend 30 mins either losing, getting flamed or sucking ass, just to lose LP in the end no matter what. Or make auto fill optional with an incentive to turn it on, like extra Blue Essence or even like an extra 5% LP per win as long as you have auto fill on.
: As a shaco main, his W nerf is actually a big deal. Especially as AP shaco. It weakened his mid/late trap setting effectiveness (which, as AP, is his main damage and reward for going AP) That aside, as a shaco main, I have no problem playing against him. Why? Because I play as him, I know his tendencies, his mind games, his ganking starting points, etc. Shaco has been a very low pick most of the last couple years and I wonder how much that is contributing to his win % because people don't know how to play against him since they rarely see him in games. Post assassin rework shaco was essentially gutted from the champ he was before. Only OTP players knew how to play him well enough to still win but overall he was a very underwhelming champ. F tier at best . Now he got buffed yes, and he needed buffs for sure. This has increased his playrate (and brought back many ex-shaco OTP players as well I would think). People are starting to see him more in games after so long and have no idea how to play against him since they barely see him. So they get wrecked. I do feel this plays a part in his WR increase, however I would hesitate to boldly say that it's only because of his buff. Even now, as I play vs shaco, I am not concerned because I know how to play against him. His buff certainly strengthened him in some places but also weakened him in others (especially AP shaco whose AP assassin identity was nerfed and it's now more of a delayed trap setting, play making style). Perhaps as people see him more in games now they'll learn how to play against him too.
Yes. His massive win rate surge and spike in Masters+ is because people "don't know how to play against him".
: If people do not know to buy Pink ward is their problem. I can win easy against shaco sup .. Pressure + pink ward. You can also use zyra to destroy boxes
Ah yes. Spam a ward that costs 75g to disable his spammable boxes in every lane if there's a Shaco on the enemy team. Let's call it the "Shaco Tax" is like Morde's QSS tax!
Yenn (NA)
: Shaco's win rate is continuing to climb after the nerfs. Please stop overbuffing champions.
I think Shaco needs a nerf, but from a different angle. His current base movement speed is 350. Lower it to 335. It will slow down his jungle clear a bit, his gank set up and frequency and increases the chance to actually punish him if the gank is a miss fire.
Keiaga (NA)
: It'd be quicker for you to learn how to play against it instead of whining on the forums about it.
Let's be frank, there's basically no counterplay to Rengar top for most top laners until about level 6 or 7. Then depending on what char you are playing and how well did you manage to keep up some CS, you might be able to start playing the game.
Mcmxcix (NA)
: Braum as support is more oppressive than any other tank support who doesnt have HOOK, why? 'cause he just touch you one, ur adc pew pew pew Stun for 1 - 1.5 sec with 8 sec cool down, then he can use his Q to slow u down, at least Tahm Kench needs to 3 hits u in a row by HIMSELF so you could get 3 stacks of his debuff and then he CAN EAT you or stun if he uses Q, so Braum better be like this or even more nerfed since he as champion requires 0 skill to play with him oh and let's not forget his combo jobo E W to save his team or adc.
Hello. I would like you to meet Leona.
: Can we finally buff Braum now?
Braum won't get buffed because he is not flashy, doesn't have a hook and doesn't have the mobility to zig zag across the map. He doesn't fit Rito design philosophy for LOL atm. Maybe if he farted fireworks out his ass everytime he took a step and played the URF theme every time he ulted Rito would pay attention to him.

People always forget that the reason mr is weaker than armor is because magic damage is less accessible to physical damage and is generally resource gated while ad never is. Almost every champion has a 100% ad ratio move with a very low cd. ;)
Yet AP is still a run amok stat. The fact that Mages have been consistently outperforming most ADCs in their own role and have been bullying botlane even in pro games highlights this. Most mages can now easily be flexed into any lane simply because they do so much damage.
: A list of champions that are unfun to play against?
As a top laner it will be Teemo, Tryndamere, Neeko, Karma and Ryze. In that order. Champs that can make a game un fun, but aren't inherently 100% toxic, Kennen, Jayce, Yi, GP and Gnar.

Sej - Got her passive armor and CC heavily reduce this season. They wanted her to be more of a brusier so now you max her W (whip) first instead of her E (freeze). Ornn - They removed some of his tankiness this season like the shield he got from his W and his "unstoppable" from his charge. In return they increased the damage on his abilities. This confused people because riot wanted him to be a bruiser but he still has a tank kit.
Sej is still a tank. Ornn... I don't know what the fuck Rito is doing with Ornn and I don't think they know either. He's just...there...like Reksai, Skarner, Neeko, Kalista, Singed.
: AND MUNDO IS NOT A TANK
Yet he is the best totally not tank tank atm.
: They won't coz they require burst damage. Katarina rushing an AP bruiser item is the equivalent of Zed rushing a Cleaver when in most cases he's better off with an LDR, and even that as a last item.
Uhum. Just like how Steraks was abused by ADCs, Tabi was abused by everyone, Shojin is being abused by some ADCs etc. Items that give situational power spikes even defensive ones do get abused if the opportunity arises. You also haven't addressed how you would stop supports from abusing them.
: Riot Game Developers Don't Know What To Do With Karma. It's Their Fault Though.
The only purpose of Karma is the annoy the shit out of top laners. It's like the Champ you pick if they banned your favorite champ or first picked your hard counter. Pick Karma, go top, build tank and just be unbearably annoying. You can't really win your lane. You will have a minimal effect on the outcome of the game, but you will be annoying as shit.
Palaven (NA)
: Designers Fail To Understand The Top Lane Problem
I think the way to increase top lane's relevancy is to flip the Herald/Nashor and Dragon pits. Put the Dragons up to toplane. Make taking and contesting Dragon the job of top/mid/jungle. The I don't know what the changing of xp ratios will do to the meta. On one hand it strongly empowers midlaners that can roam fast and gank bot. Do you really want a level 6 Talon, Zed, Qayana, Pantheon, Syndra, Lux roam bot while bot is still level 4? Are you sure about that Rito? On the other the jungle Xp changes mean that Junglers will be trying to leach lanes more.
GTHeavy (EUNE)
: Shaco invisibility power problem
Shaco is garbage. I agree. Everytime you think you are winning lane, trading well, have your wave under control...there's a Shaco about to gank you and you can't do a damn thing about it. But I'll be honest, I am way more stressed out by shit like Kindred, Khazix, Nocturne and Yi when it comes to junglers.
: Preseason 10: If you’re ahead, you get ahead even more?
Yo. We heard that you all hate the whole snowball stomping meta. So we made the game snowball and stomp FASTER!!!!! This way instead of being stomped in 25 minutes you'll be all stomped in 15 to 18 minutes! We did good! Right! You all love this shit!
: Yeah no, that seems pretty false. Even if you win lane (especially top), if your bot fucks up too much, your lead doesnt exist.
I basically feel the whole "play enough games you'll climb" shit only applies to botlanes and jungles. I've seen midlaners consistently dominatung their lane, having 20/2/10 KDAs, but they just can't carry the botlane that fed 0/15 by minute 15. They come out of lane having fed 3/5 players on the enemy team. As a top laner 90% of the time you feel like you have no effect on the game. You got first kill, won lane, took first tower, took herald, roamed mid. Your botlane will not lane swap, the ADC is "split pushing" somewhere, the support or jungle is MIA somewhere on the map, existing somehow if not inting but not pushing, taking objectives, clearing or creating vision. So you are 3v5 trying to capitalize on your lead but you just can't.
: tanks do the least amount of damage out of any class in the game. tanks are the worst class in the game as a whole tanks having % hp damage hurts tanks more then it hurts non tanks you dont know what you are talking about
Malphite. The tank that will one-shot everything short of tanks or juggernauts every time he ults, giving a good scare to even those, while building nothing but tank items. Then there's Mundo, the tank who isn't a tank, but everything in his kit says tank, and who is the best tank in game right now, and will absolutely 1v3 or 1v4 people and put out ADC levels of damage if he wasn't completely obliterated before mid game. Whenever people are complaining about tank damage it's Malphite and Mundo.

Champs with in lane sustain tend to have lower base stats on average to compensate for it.
Darius heals more off his Q and Conqueror than Maokai does on a good day. His passive HP regen rate is also very high. He has literally double of Maokai's passive regen (10 per sec for Darius, 5 for Maokai) which goes up to 15 per sec with a single Reju bead. Darius' passive regen is higher than Garen's without Garen's passive.

Two letters. GP. Then there is Neeko, and it very much works on Teemo.

There are 3 runes which I long been saying shouldn't work on ranged Champs. Klepto. Glacial Augment. Grasp. Free gold, CC, heal&hp for auto attacking and poking. If Mages get any more HP than they already get, they just become ranged assasin/juggernauts. This is why Riot should and probably will make any form of AP bruiser item melee only
And how do you prevent Akali and Katarina or maybe even Kassadin from abusing it?
: All of those champions do well only because they're overtuned. Vlad needs a nerf. Mordekaiser has an overtunes shield, and Sylas's entire kit is overloaded.
I'm not disagreeing with that. I'm pointing out that "overtuned" is relative as they are balanced around the items currently available to them. It's easier to tune a couple of Champs around the current itemization than it would be to tune all mages, supports (do you really want a Morgana with an extra 300hp or a Tresh that is tankier than he already is?) and AP brusiers around a couple of new items. Think of the last AD Brusier item they added which ended up completely breaking several Champs. Spear of Shojin and the absolutely ridiculous power spike it gives to some Champs.
: League needs to take a hard look at AP bruiser itemization.
Typical Bruiser first items would be Black Cleaver or more commonly Trinity Force. One costs 3000 gold the other 3733. Protobelt costs 2500g. So typically an AP Bruiser or Mage gets back to lane with a completed item on their second back while an AD gets their first full item on their third back. Every single one of the Champs you listed are already doing extremely well. They either have massive amounts of sustain in their kits like Vlad who also becomes immune to damage as a defensive move or Mordekaiser, or Sylas' massive heals. And Fizz is incredibly mobile and can become immune to damage for short times. The problem with AP itemization is that it's shared with Mages. If Mages get any more HP than they already get, they just become ranged assasin/juggernauts.
: Nerf Yi's stackable attack speed boosts
Another champ that often turns into a SoloQ and especially low elo stomped is Udyr. But whenever Udyr gets out line he gets hit by the nerf hammer, hard. But Yi... Yi has been terrorizing low Elo and SoloQ for ages, and they just let it fly. Yi is basically Tryndamere, Teemo and Mundo rolled into one in sheer stupidity and annoyance, especially as there's less counterplay to him as any of the 3 above. A champ that which if he is even or slightly ahead will reliably 1v5 in team fighting just by pressing Q. He's like a "Play this for Pentakills" champ. If he is ahead, you can FF. If he is behind he can still reliably 1v1 most people.

So if you would want to build an item with a slow effect that also gives you useful tank stats (HP) and some AD, you would build Frozen Mallet (it is sometimes built against Ryze or Teemo) Frozen Mallet is almost never built because Steraks Gage with its shield, AD bonus, Tenacity bonus and huge chunk of HP is much better. Sorry, I missed this before but... You do realize this means his passive doesn't depend on health at all, right? 5,000 HP or 500, he's still healing for X% of that total. Sure, more health means you'll keep at high health longer, but to say you should build HP because "his ratio is determined by his HP" is... a bit unnecessary.
The more health you have, the more you heal per second. How is this confusing for you? Jesus, just in case some numbnuts like you comes along, Riot now also made his W scale off his health directly.
: I do agree that it is quite frustrating to see pro players abuse a meta that we just can't in soloq, unless we are in a duo. We should be able to look up to pros and feel like we can become the next Faker. However, the bot lane mages and adcs in both top and mid lane is just something that feels like we are getting spit in the face. The playerbase needs to relate to pros and this doesnt seem possible right now. I do, however, have to disagree about the steamroll effect you mentionned. The game is too snowbally right, I won't question that. However, SKT are a really good team and taking them down requires a lot of creativity of similar team power, which I believe FNC lacked in this game(shotcalling, confidence, etc). As for the point about Tristana, I believe champions should not be balanced around pro-play, unless there is a champ who is much too strong at this level. In this case, only nerfs should take place, preventing a powercreep, which is already happening.
When people were pointing out a few days ago that we were seeing one sided steamrolls in the play in games others here were saying that those were "the crappy teams" and we won't see the same when the real pros start playing... I mean I don't know what is more "real pro" than Fanatic and SKT. And here it is, one sided snowball game. Mark my words, we will be seeing a lot more of these in every group, and probably even in the semis and finals.
: so we see more diversity in pro play then in past and now its trash? and i do believe this is before the garen rework so
I think you are missing the point. The meta has become an all or nothing stomp fest. We are now seeing in pro play what has been happening in SoloQ for quite a while now. Strange picks and counter picks all angling for that snowball which once gets rolling is unstoppable. Once it started, there's no counterplay, there's no cool team fighting, there's no turning through outplay or having one guy somehow making a difference. One team is snowballing and the other is just there to be shit on and they can't do anything and there's no point watching the rest of the game. They might as well just do as in Starcraft and let players GG out instead of forcing them to spend 10-15 minutes slowly but inevitably losing and making us watch what is the equivalent of making someone in SC2 find and destroy every single enemy building on the map. It's pointless and a waste of time and patience.

: Urgot E is his dash. Urgot W is AUTOATTACKS and you are not locked in it, you can cast your other spells. So your example is really comparing apples and oranges. Garen E doesn't even slow him down, it even makes him ignore collision. and garen is not locked in it, he can cancel it any time he wants. It should in no way grant 5 stacks. It should grant 1 stack like every other ability in the game that is not recastable or an auto attack. It's a matter of consistency
So again, you are saying Garen should be the only Bruiser who can't use the Brusier tune? Again, Conqueror is stacked differently than you think it is. There are Champs that are fully designed to be able to proc it instantly with the press of a single button, like Urgot or more specifically PANTHEON. Then there are Champs like Yorick and Darius who passive stack it just buy putting a dot on you or have their minions auto attack you.

: Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to make an exception to ALL OTHER CHAMPS and let him stack more than one stack of conq with his E? That's straight up stupid. Remove that for sure. And make the R magic damage. Why is it always true now? Did they at least nerf the numbers by a good amount?
Most top laners can stack Conq faster than Garen's spin. Yorick gets stacks from Ghoul autos, Darius from bleed ticks, Urgot stacks it both from his machine gun and from his shotgun legs (after Pantheon he stacks it the fastest), Pantheon stacks it instantly from his W, Kled from his passive extra attack, Mordekaiser stacks it from his passive damage ticks, Illaoi gets stacks from every tentacle she hits you with and can also stack it by simply hitting your spirit, Yi stacks it instantly with his Q, Riven stacks it from her Q spam. You don't seem to understand how Conqueror works and in what Champs. Do you even play top lane?

: Quick Gameplay Thoughts: October 11
Making Garen as weak as before the changes means making Garen garbage again. Because that's what Garen was. Garbage. Garen used to outplay people in low elo by not dying and letting them do something stupid and kill themselves. Like frustrated tower dives. Don't bring back that play style.
