Yet in Season 2 level 1 Rengar could one shot from the bush top with Elixir, something that no champ can do anymore, not even close to what he could do. Why did you compare S8 to a season after they removed elixir? And late game damage is not the same, it's significantly reduced lmao.

Also I don't know what League you played but the one I played I never had fear of dying when I sat level 1 full HP near my tower... absolutely never in the history of league... well until Season 8 that is. You cannot deny that early game damage has gone through the roof, I agree with you that late game damage is more or less the same. If you want to see late game damage of Season 4 then watch than Karthus clip and just fast forward 10mins or so. You can see pretty well that Season 4 wasn't just wet noodles. Regardless, Riot has finally taken steps to reduce early game damage, if it will be enough is yet to be seen tho.

And Rengar? Why not look at their Season 2/3 forms? Is it because it doesn't fit your narrative or you never actually played League back then so have no idea? I've been playing since S2. It's clear that the game had the most damage in S2. Then S3. Now all the damage is gated around runes. S4 had way more straight up champ damage and item damage, Kassadin / Ahri and DFG are proof of this. The fact that you even chose S4 to compare to really shows that you never played Season 4, because if you wanted to be fair you would have picked Season 1 or Season 2, where damage was far higher than Season 4. But even Season 4... you seem to only care about level 1, why? And also, forgetting Season 2/3 Rengar top with elixir start? He could one shot level 1 like no other. If you want proof damage went down in League, just look at original Rengar (not his first, second or third reworks). Every champ that is in League in 2018 that hasn't received major kit changes is simply a nerfed version of their Season 2/3 edition. Lower base damage, scaling base stats etc, rest unchanged. Example would be Jax. So if they lowered the stats, how can there have been a damage creep when they also lowered the item damage and removed DFG? The answer is in the vast majority of times other than some rune cheese, there can't be.

One of the directions we're currently testing with Electrocute is decreasing both the damage and the cd (get the proc more frequently, but with reduced payout). We're not going quite to TL levels, but that's a rough model we're shooting for. Just going to go ahead and drop the current list in here for you guys to discuss. This will also be on the PBE tomorrow. Honestly, if you told me to make a sand mage before Azir came out, I would most defiantly have a big slowing sand aoe on W. I would probably have called it shifting sands too. Q would have been sand slash, and a skill shot damage ability that creates sand at the end, then shifting sand on W that slows anyone in the sand, then quick sand on E to sink into the ground and reappear anywhere there is sand.

: Nerfing Quinn's early game - her single true strong point - is not the way to approach this IMO. I feel like there are better ways to mess with her power spikes. The ult changes, however, are BEAUTIFUL. I'm really happy with this and expect most of my fellow jaded Quinn appreciators to feel the same way. Crazy idea time: The only thing that needs to be done now is to switch it - _visually only_ - from Valor carrying Quinn, back to Valor. Just looks less clunky that way. She'd need a new model/texture for Heartseeker Valor, but the files for Val's animations are still in the game, as are - I assume - Valor's textures and models for all her other skins.

It's almost evened out at like lvl 4.

Instead of instakilling them, they get shielded / flash, you die, and the game is ruined. Yes, it's gamebreaking.

Even though it's technically the same price as before (we just scaled up the cost when we multiplied all your other BE by 6.5 for the new season), it feels like it costs more because now BE is useful for unlocking champs more directly. The short answer is that we don’t currently have plans to change the price because the team wants to be careful about removing too many things that BE is used for unlocking. I can share a little more on the thinking around it: The reason Mastery 6 & 7 have always cost BE to upgrade is mostly because we needed to give players a use for BE back in the old system. Now that we’ve connected the loot system with the normal rewards system, we’re having to think longterm about what should and shouldn’t cost BE. Mostly BE is useful for unlocking champs, but we want it to be useful for everybody—including people who don't want to use it on champs. The new leveling system gives vets gemstones and unique emotes alongside the other stuff, and the Blue Essence Emporium is working out pretty well too. There’s more we’ll have to do on that front, but I’m sure we’ll figure it out over time.

No problem to me, makes no difference in the end either way, mastery would only be relevant if it actually showed you had 1 million mastery on a champ, instead it shows you have 30k xD. Waste of time and nobody cares about it, until you do it properly it's a dead system only used for BM, and you can BM with mastery lvl 5 as well as you can with 7.
