Is that still the case? I remember Riot mentioned the "first blood clause" in the past, but in the last year I've played quite a few games where I and my team were able to remake despite drawing the first blood (or dying against an enemy).
: Why can't Riot move to a fully transparent MMR ranked system?
They could also (even less work required) straight out copy TFT's ranked system: it wouldn't solve everything but it'd still be an improvement.

Nobody uses it, that's why Riot hasn't removed it or nerfed it yet.

In Bronze/Silver, that's the score a good toplaner, midlaner or adc ends the game with. It's almost always way lower. Junglers are a little better, averaging at 20-25. As a main support, though, I'm still struggling with vision: I usually end my games with a vision score a little above or a little below 40.
: it's been put into words, finally. i've got nearly 1,000 jungle games over 2 years, and this season has gotten *consistantly and exponentially* worse and worse for jungle since starting, to the point where i'm seriously debating leaving the game for good since the one role i enjoy is getting stripped down to "gank every lane, don't even bother seriously farming, invade, and if you don't do all of that you'll lose to a bigger stat-stick like Lee Sin or J4. The main problem is the abysmal scaling difference between junglers. Lately, junglers like Lee Sin literally gank at lvl 2 after killing a couple monsters. While, say, a Nocturne simply can't. This is when people usually lose their temper and vent on the jungler, but it's really nobody's fault. I hate the camping/early gank meta, though (at least, that's how it currently is in low ELOs).

: Promos exist only to stop players from climbing fast and to force players to play more games to climb. If we look into game history, in and around promos the probability of getting afk, trolls, feeders will be higher. This is simply to give a game that has lower chances of winning and unless we play like our rank+2 divisions to solo carry games, it will be mostly a loss. This is not only unfair, but not fun to play because of bad matchmaking and not being able to dodge. Promos should be removed and matchmaking should be made better, so that rank becomes closer to skill.

Promos should be removed and matchmaking should be made better, so that rank becomes closer to skill. A simple mechanism Riot could introduce in rankeds is the following. If one or more players in the lobby start thinking that one of their teammates is going to troll and harm the game (either because they're flaming or picking an absolutely off-meta champ in a certain lane), they should be able to start a vote to kick the aforementioned player out. To be on the safe side, it should be a unanimous vote. If a player gets kicked out of a lobby more than two or three times, he shall get a punishment, that is the impossibility to play ranked games for a number of days. Such a system wouldn't solve everything, but it'd increase the chances of playing a fair match dramatically, imho.

Riot should also take into account a player's personal performance. If, say, your team fed or trolled, but you managed to get an A or even better an S, at the very least you shouldn't lose LP. The current system emphasises luck and ignores the fact that same games simply can't be won.

Which isn't the way a company works: otherwise Microsoft and BlackBerry would still be updating their legacy OSes for the few devoted users. I don't doubt that TT could become somewhat more popular if Riot invested a lot of time and resources (that is, money) into it: but it'd equal to telling them how to draw up their business plan, which unfortunately isn't our call. Personally speaking, if taking out TT means that Riot will have more resources for rotating game modes, I'm more than okay with it. Any company would have killed off TT many years ago (when it came out, rotating game modes didn't even exist), it's surprising enough Riot kept it around for so long. And no, it's not totally Riot's fault, not at all: it's not like Aram has had any major changes during the last years (aside from some non-crucial balancing), but we kept playing it a lot; the user-base simply didn't like TT.

I don't think the bots will ever set foot in the Summoner's Rift. They were unleashed in TT because it was a map nobody cared about, the user-base was ridicolously low and nobody actually reported bots. I can't even find bots in ARAM anymore. In my opinion, botting will soon disappear from LoL: given that they'd be insta-banned after a couple games at most in SR, it wouldn't made any sense using them.

Over 200, according to many users, so it’d be literally unplayable unfortunately. It’s worse than playing on NA from Europe (I have quite a hard time playing decently on PBE). I also advise you against finding a “common server”: you could probably play on OCE, but you’d both still have an incredibly high ping, at the cost of a mountain of RPs.

I truly hope you guys'll manage to convince Riot to keep TT: I'm sure that, a few months down the line, you all will be massively playing TT, therefore removing any reason to kill it off. Right? All these posts makes me go back to when I had three (cheap) guitars. I mostly played my electric, seldom if ever the acoustic, basically never the classical. They are volunteers. Exactly. Somebody who turns themselves in to Riot sounds like a mega-troll. Nobody is saying that posts acknowledging Riot's failure to deliver punishment are bad: it's quite the opposite. But an inter/flamer that asks to be banned, well... sounds like he did it on purpose, which is even worse. All that said, for my experience, the system works. I've seen quite a few people in my contact list being punished soon enough. It's just that there are too many flamers: Riot's reviewers are humans too, they could have a backlog that slows them down (with millions of players, I can't even fathom how many mails they get every day).

: I'm going to have to disagree with this post in a lot of ways. While I do agree that league has gone in a direction I do not necessarily agree with all the time. I still think League is an amazing game that suffers from a toxic image, due in part by a community that loves to be toxic. I recommended this game to a group of discord friends, with the warning that it is very difficult and you have to be patient. Guess what? We play together regularly and have amazing and awful games, it's how gaming works. League is a game that suffers and benefits from people being so dedicated to it that things like smurfing and bot farming are common practice. I hate smurfs, no matter the reason, and wish they could be stopped completely but I understand that is near impossible. There is a big thing here with this, League is a Game. League is something that isn't meant to be so serious and hyper competitive to the point of toxicity. If you want to Start improving this game's "major issues" then start with one game at a time and spread positivity not toxicity. League is a massive game with tons of aspects to consider for balance, and yes I agree the damage issue certainly isn't great, but for veterans you'll know it's always been something. If not "damage" it was the unstoppable tanks, or no protection against snowballing at all. This game Has improved, and I say that as someone who has had an account for around 8 years at least and has played consistently over the years. This current iteration of League is no better or worse, it's just different and this community can't stand that. If something is different it is wrong. Instead of constantly complaining about the game, try adapting what you do. Try something new instead of blaming Riot for literally every issue you have with the game. I think a lot of the claims against Riot are totally exaggerated beyond believability. The report system has worked dozens of times for me when I've has to report someone. The balance of the game has always felt skewer somehow and Riot does their best to fix it over time, but it is a slow and careful process so they don't ruin their game. There is SO much more going on with League then people realize and exercising a little control and patience will go a long way towards making League a better game for everyone. Despite any issues I have with League, I will never say it is a bad game. I will defend League whether I continue to play it or not because it is a massive game that has survived through everything before and will continue to survive now. To tie it back to the original post, I have and will always recommend new players to this game because New players are the ones who will continue to mold the community out of its toxic shell. I believe it cam happen and will continue supporting Riot until the end.

Very well said. Besides, I believe Riot's banning system is one the harshest and most effective among online games. If one's toxic enough, they can even get a permaban as their first and last punishment (a friend of mine just got one, and he's far from the worst flamer I've ever known). I seriously don't understand what people want of Riot at this point. Players are extremely toxic, all right, but this an issue with the whole Internet. And, about the "damage meta", teams without at least a good tank still can't win. I experience it everyday. I feel we have some individual champions who are either too buffed right now or way too nerfed, rather than a game balance issue,

: The w doesn't make any sense with the type of champion he is though. He's a scarcrow, why does he have this tether that drains life? That makes no sense for a scarecrow. Is he scaring the life out of you? No. He's literally standing there and draining it.

Uhm, well, maybe it sucks the life out of its enemies because he doesn’t have one... like “if I get enough life force I shall become a living thing”?

His Q is the most absurd CC in the game, one of the weakest, and one of the few that do 0 damage. His W snares the user. Seriously, champions haven't had this kind of auto-counterplay in ages. The crows from the E ricochet almost AT RANDOM. This is really absurd, I can't think of any other skill that ricochet at random. Then we have the R. The problem with this is that nowadays there are wards everywhere, because of the trinkets. Also, massive CD, you have to Chanel it, it goes on CD again if someone interrupt your channeling… too many weak points.

: It's unhealthy for ranked, you are put at a disadvantage if someone's not playing optimally for something out of their control lol Autofill for normal queues is absolutely fine, reduce those queue times But give me everyone at their best in ranked

Rankeds aren't the main game mode (one could play only normals and they wouldn't lose on anything, game-wise), so longer queue times would be totally acceptable. Autofill in rankeds hinders people's progress and incites flaming. I've even seen people dodging because of autofill. As someone who gives his best as a support, I don't think it right that I have the privilege to always play my best role while the others (mainly toplaners and midlaners) can't.
: Riot can u give us winrate of autofill role ?
Main support here: what's autofill, again?
: when is ff@15 going to be reduced to 4/1?
Many people here talk about losing LP and rankeds. But the OP never mentioned ranked games: of course surrendering in a ranked is an extrema ratio, which I personally never resort to. I believe that Deathslicer's idea is mere common sense. This is just my experience, but I've seen way more dragged-on games than actual comebacks: and if there are flamers/inters in a team, they almost always vote nay; I even play with a couple people that refuse to surrender regardless, even when all we have left are the nexus' turrets. All this to say that if a team feels it can't win, it should have the right to surrender after 15 minutes: not even constitutional laws require unanimity, so 4/5 is more than enough of a qualified majority.

: Anybody else excited for Fiddlesticks rework?
Not really. I'm one of those who don't understand what's wrong with Fiddle's kit. Imho, it needed an update, not a rework. Its R is iconic, its W is the quintessence of its kit, its E is amazingly useful and the Q is a nice touch. Besides, if Riot is going to keep just its R, we'll be left with a single life-absorbing champion (that is, Vladi) in the entire game. I like Riot's ideas on a jumpscare Fiddle, but they could have simply reworked his Q and passive, maybe his R too.

The snowflakes and SJWs are taking over Riot, too, now? Fighting for social equality = being a bad person = working for Riot. Your logic is flawless.
: Looks like League itself needs a rework right now.
The only thing about the new death recap that befuddles me is the fact that it often shows, among the people that killed me, one or more of my teammates. Same for my friends. We can't wrap our head around it.

Yeah, low elo players are quite rare on the boards. For example, the player you replied to is Gold: as everybody knows, there's a HUGE difference between Silver and Gold players; the latter are probably way closer to Diamond/Master than Silver. Right?

: I do believe that Supp is the least played roll because of the following reasons: 1. It is without a doubt the hardest role to play. When u have a bad supp, u lose bot. When u lose bot, the chance that u will also lose the whole game is over 70%. 2. Supports get none of the glory 3. A good support takes no kills, but most people prefer killing over winning. I believe that there needs to be a greater encouragement for people to play it. Autofilling them and basically forcing them to do it, is the wrong way. Maybe awarding them for doing it would encourage more play. Bonus BE would definitely make me wanna start playing as a supp, so i can afford more champs.

Bonus BE would definitely make me wanna start playing as a supp, so i can afford more champs. Jungle is way harder, imho: you have to care about so many things if you want to do it right! Warding, ganking, farming, counter-farming... at least in low ELO (can't speak for Gold and above, as I've never been there), what often makes the difference is the jungler (camping, above all). The only thing I complain about the current support meta is gold: items should grant a little more gold than they actually do, as it's often hard to build more than 4 items, unless you opt for a full-support build.

: but the issue here is that not enough people play support, so if no autofill exists, no games can be played. The Qs would be extremely long
> [{quoted}](name=KuroCorbeau,realm=EUNE,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=lFLAfMsJ,comment-id=00070000,timestamp=2019-07-13T12:38:42.335+0000) > > but the issue here is that not enough people play support, so if no autofill exists, no games can be played. The Qs would be extremely long No, you'd simply experience slower queues. Being a main support, I never get autofilled, but I totally agree with the OP: you can't do your best if you can't play your best roles with your best champions.

If you can't stand flamers, play with one or more premade friends: there has to be at least a single person you know (either irl or online) to play with, maybe via voice chat.

If they nerf it even further, big frog'll become less tanky than a Janna and with not enough utility to go back as a supporting champ.
