Climbing isn't possible for 90% of the playerbase. Have realistic expectations and just have fun. You either start out with a huge winstreak increasing your mmr or you will never climb. Try creating a new account. If you're not above 55% winrate after 100 games, literally just abandon the account and try again.

Scorpions don't jump. They immobilize their targets, inject them with venom, and while they're at it, tear them to pieces. Most Skarner players I'd assume play him for his thematic. Skarner's thematic will be met as long as his kit fulfills this fantasy. Just my thoughts as a long-time Skarner main and enthusiast. (Currently playing him toplane in Plat 3).

But I do think that adapting to the circumstances is better than to complain about them. It might not seem significant to hold a negative belief on League, but I'm telling you that your actions will ALWAYS follow your beliefs, your brain will ALWAYS act according to them. If you're thinking the matchmaking exists to fuck you over, if you're thinking that other people are preventing you from winning, you will not improve, and you will return to the same excuses that cause most of the playerbase to be hardstuck.

Multiple factors. **Mages going toplane, winning the laningphase, outscaling and out-teamfighting bruisers in the lategame.** - Mage itemization is cheaper and scales better than bruiser itemization (let that sink in for a minute) 2. Protobelt is a 2500 gold item that provides a huge spike too early in the game 3. Mage itemization is streamlined, cost-efficient and basically has no downsides 4. Zhonyas is an EXTREMELY powerful item, with an amazing build path 5. Mage builds end in Void Staff+Deathcap which can not be itemized against 6. Void Staff provides 40% magic pen for 2650 gold, tanks typically only build one MR item 7. Liandry's isn't actually necessary to deal with tanks 8. Luden's Echo is an unfathomably strong item (seriously, look up the stats on it) 9. Stopwatch being a general frustration to play against Ok, let's look at bruiser itemization. **The Black Cleaver** - 3000 Gold - Good midgame powerspike - Falls off lategame - Mediocre build path **Trinity Force** - 3733 Gold - Amazing midgame powerspike - Falls off lategame - Awful build path **Steraks Gage** - 3200 Gold - Necessary item on most bruisers - Awful build path - No cooldown reduction **Frozen Mallet/Titanic Hydra/.....** - Useless on most champions - Worse than the above items - Can not be integrated in most bruiser builds because by the time you can build them, tank items will be a necessity (Thorn Mail/Randuins/Glory/Visage..) - Too expensive for what they provide (niche tank items like Deadman's Plate also fall into this category) **The exceptions:** Bruisers that follow up their build with Death's Dance/Spear of Shojin. Aatrox, Riven, Jax etc. Coincidentally, these champions are considered the strongest bruisers right now.

The problem with this mindset is that it nullifies the impact you could have had on the game. Because you're convinced that the game is random and that the individual player performance doesn't matter, you won't try in the first place, or even give up trying at the slightest sight of defeat. Mindset is everything in this game, and there are many toxic beliefs that prevent people from improving, this is one of them.

He is rewarded for his long cast-times. The counterplay is healing reduction, cc, and kiting/dodging him out. The comparison to ADCs is that they're healing using auto-attacks which potentially have close to no downtime.

Play an S+ tier snowballing toplaner, win lane every game, don't rely on your jungler, don't die to the enemy jungler, know when to splitpush, otherwise push sidelanes then rotate to your team to catch/make a play. Repeat.
