: Reporting players from lobby
Thanks for all the engagement on the post regardless of a lot of you not understanding my points however riot clearly don't care about this and i've lost all faith in them as a company. Best of luck out there on the rift
: unless you want them punished or banned there is no reason to investigate. a crime scene investigator won't just look at the scene and go "ok my job is done" they will actually dig up evidence to support what is going down and give an opinion.
Not sure if i'm being trolled here haha

This is a punishment for the player who has done nothing wrong. You're supporting a broken system. I don't want them to be punished for saying they will troll. I want a way to report these players which in turn could either flag their account making riot aware what type of player they might be and a punishment can be given if they do find said player to be a problem. In no way am i advocating for banning people based on what they say. > > I don't think it's a stretch to say that if someone states they are going to troll in champ select IN GENERAL they are probably more likely to troll games But you're missing the point, nobody will be punished for simply saying they will troll so reporting them would be pointless. Why would they do all the leg work to add an option that wouldn't do anything?
It's not that difficult to understand. 1:player comes into my game and says he's going to troll 2: i dodge losing lp and getting q timer 3; players goes into another lobby and says he's going to troll 4: someone else dodges and loses lp and time or they play out the game with troll losing more lp more time but now they get to report. With my suggestions these steps may all happen HOWEVER now we can report from in-game lobby adding an extra way to find people who troll AND the person who has to dodge gets to report the person who states they are going to troll (and most likely does) providing an extra step towards solving the problem
: you're just assuming they will troll. there will be no evidence until you are actually in the game. "but they said they were going to troll" actions speak louder than words buddy. if they say they will troll but don't do anything to resemble trolling then the pre game report will be false and at best discarded and at worst target you. plus pre game reports can open up troll reports "you stole my champion i report you." "you auto locked i report you" "jungle you don't have smite i report you" "you're off meta i report you"
I don't want them banned because they say they were going to troll i want their account to be looked into and investigated based on this. Dodging is merely passing the problem to another person not solving it or doing anything to help
: I've had games where people jokingly said they were trolling and then the guy played like a god! I feel more reporting options aren't the solution. A smart person would take LP loss if they were THAT sure or the player being a troll...Not sure how you would ever punish anyone for saying "hey guys, imma troll this game!" the only reports should be about fowl language and that doesn't warrant a dodge, maybe just a mute. So all that work would be for nothing.....in the end you still lose LP and the person would never receive punishment for talking about trolling....
By saying "a smart person would take LP loss" is not addressing the situation. This is a punishment for the player who has done nothing wrong. You're supporting a broken system. : Players are not and will not be punished solely for their champion selection, and/or their spells selection. They will be penalized if they enter the game and troll. Trolling is an in-game action, and Riot has explicitly said that no combination of "off meta" is punishable unless they are actually trolling (i.e. in game).
Why does it say specialist next to your name when you have no idea what you're saying or engaging with
: Someone said they would report me for playing shaco support with ghost and flash. Another player told them to shut up and that it was okay and shaco support could work and told me to mute them. The other player was like NO shaco is a jungler get out of my lane and jungle. I just went bot lane and supported with shaco. What should I have done?

This situation is fine i'm not trying to get riot to police champion picks or summoner spells but merely have a way to report people who are in the wrong without having to play through an entire game. If you're in my game and pick something off meta with bad summoners i don't care that's your right my problem is when people explicitly say in champ select they are going to troll and the only one who gets punished is the one who dodges
: If you edit the names out of the image, that would be great as the forums have a no name and shame rule.

Read the post again and come back once you understand the problem
: I removed your image as it is naming and shaming another player. If you have any questions, please contact us on the discuss the boards page or the boards discord.
My apologies i didn't know i couldn't post screenshots of some explicitly stating he was going to troll
