I have more than 11K ARAM Games played, and i own 105 Champions. Maybe i'm an "ARAM Account" to you, maybe it suits your narrative, But i definitely did not like having Bans in ARAM. to me it's a bandaid fix against the accounts you're talking about and that need a better name, you wanna get on equal footing ask for all champs unlock in ARAM and i will support you, you can add Ranked Aram too i'm down for it. I feel the balance changes kneecaped most heavy pokers, and towards the end of the event, here in Europe bans shifted towards tanks and melee-assassins who abused the new items. And BTW, LB Kindred and Skarner are not the ultimate OP Comp which people make Aram Accounts for, i don't deny those exist like some others do on those boards but come on. But just because we don't sprout multiple posts overnight to pat ourselves on the back for the removal of Bans, doesn't mean we don't exist. and i'd like to read the data Riot Gathered and based their decisions on before anything else, but that's just me apparently. {{sticker:sg-poppy}}

So the definitive changes are in . Both new items go away, which i can understand because they both are warping the game pretty significantly, Runes and item changes stay, that's a good thing in my opinion. And the changes to turret damage are scaled down a little, that's good i think. Bans go away logically, that was the most controversial change from what i read, They keep both Anti-poke Shield but bump it to 1000 unit instead of 900 and the champion specific changes, but they say and i quote _"Champions will continue to receive balance changes in ARAM every few months"_ Am i the only one feeling that's unacceptable ? i would have settled for every Patch, or every two patches, but every few months ? not only is it pretty vague, and i think it's way too much. What i read is " we will take care of this whenever we have the time after everything else ". Exactly what i was afraid of... I still think poke was nerfed too much, but that can be remedied with the champion balance when the dust settles, if any of you got Ziggs during the event, his damage on champion is pretty sad nowadays, but he still melts structures like butter, he's now what they call a specialist in Heroes of the storm :p {{sticker:sg-soraka}}

Also I love ARAM games where you struggle for a while, reach your late game potential, and make the triumphant come back. But I've also seen how a lot of players refuse to even try if the early game is too tough, and others who do stuff like queue up with literally only 20 minutes to play and go afk if it isn't over by then. Personally I'd rather ditch those players and keep the potential for comebacks. I really don't like Mariner's Vengeance because it's just way too strong on certain champions that are already a big pain to deal with (mostly slayers). I agree that the mode really needs some specific rune and item balance, but I think Presence of Mind in particular was slightly over nerfed. I agree that the champion specific buffs/nerfs are out of wack and should probably be abandoned completely because Riot won't keep up with them. Also I want to point out that two big factors in ARAM win rates are champion popularity and champion ease of use. So often who wins is primarily based on which team gets more champions they know well. I don't want champions nerfed into the ground in ARAM just because they're easy to do alright on and popular.

Most of the time people wouldn't even hit the goddamn nexus even when it was walking toward you, and with a few deaths just before the time limit you were just doomed. Not sure this is something i want in ARAM.

That's a very good point, some champions are easier to pick up, or owned by everyone and that is definitely playing a part in their win %. in Any case i don't think a 50% Win Rate on all champs is neither feasible nor should be the goal of these changes. Otherwise it would reward mains who luckily got their best champs (or begged for it) more than generalists players with more/all champs unlocked. And it would also have a significant impact on dodgers too, the more OTP are incentivized to play the mode, the more angry people who didn't get their main will dodge at the first occasion. Thanks for bringing this argument into the discussion.

How about unlocking all champs for everyone then ? that's the only real way of adressing the issue you're talking about.

I believe some of those changes are excessive, in particular Bans and the 900 unit range nerf which affects Blitz's Q for example. And that Champion specific nerfs and ups are going to require constant attention from Riot if they want to keep this up, right now ARAM is an assassin-melee fiesta, sure you guys nerfed poke, probably a bit too much in my opinion. Bans have shifted from xerath/lux/sona/ziggs/fiddle to Yasuo/Irelia/Zed etc etc, which in my opinion is a telling sign. Backtrack is fine, nerf to runes and warmogs is also fine to me.

I have seen a lot of dodgers too, and everytime we lose 30 additionnal seconds because of Bans, so overall i'm not sure how to feel.

Also as an aram player from EUW with more than 9000 games played since the aram queue, because we used to do it on custom games before that. I play Aram almost exclusively, and i own 95 champions but still people say i'm one of those nasty aram accounts that cheats the game. I feel all the champion select things are good, more free champions i have no problem with that, the "bench" i think it's a great addition, no need to ask "anyone xxx" and if people reroll our only ad champ i can pick it up to avoid the dreaded full ap comp. The new items, i'm not fond of them especially the boots. When you roll Kayn you feel totally cheated by the way, everyone has your E and they're stealthed in addition to that. The Warmogs removal is hard for tanks, and i think they should have given a new tank item as a compensation instead of the ones they added, and if the problem with Warmogs was dps building it, then up the Health cap to 4K, that should suffice to discourage them. Also something i don't see anyone talking about is the accelerated pace of the game due to the experience added at level 3, it seem to be even more stomped or be stomped especially with the removal of warmogs. we now get our ultimates at 3 minish and it really helps ult-dependant champions but still many games end up beforre the 15 min mark, sometimes people just give up and open at 5-6 min it's crazy. I Apologize if my english is not perfect, it ain't my mother tongue.

Well there it is, they didn't even cared about Swain, they just wanted to make their generic villain leader of noxus " muahaha i'm evil with an english accent " Initially i was more angry at his kit than his appearance, because all the dots and damage amp was gone, and the ult is not a toggle anymore plus the whole thing feels pretty generic spells with eldritch lightning tacked on it to make it feel like Noxus. But everything feels forced on this rework, it feels like they just wanted to delete Swain from the game plain and simple. It has happened before and it will happen again, I just hope they gonna rework champions i Hate and not champions i Like, at this point this is the only option left. it's like the Galio rework all over again. "But hey guys he still has wings during his ultimate hope you're happy swain players."

I'm okay with his looks, but i really feel like those reworks are just a way to delete a character and then appeal only to people who hated him. You would have called this guy Swoin and nobody would have seen the difference. so after destroying every dot mages except malzahar by not giving them a real keystone, now they just go around and deleting the champions. This is sad for people who enjoyed and played those "off putting" champions. I really hope Riot will rework the champions i dislike in this game now. btw the haircut is fine, swain is a warlock not a military man.

Can't wait for Riot reworking champions i don't Play. First Galio and now this... No Beatrice, no cane, no crow transformation, no laserbird and no dots anymore you could have named him Swoin and no one would have seen that it was based on Swain's design. I guess the champion will be strong and people who didn't like Swain before will like him more that way. The graphics are nice, but that just isn't Swain.
