Would kind of feel just bullshitty, especially against squishy champions, if you manage to cc them and they just take no damage suddenly. Just wouldn't feel good at all if you can't kill that {{champion:11}} in time while he is cc'ed. Also, it would kind of defeat the whole purpose of knockups, because then knockups would be the same as stuns as long as {{champion:157}} isn't in the game. It wouldn't be hard at all to code the game in a way to make tenacity affect knockups, but the whole point of knockups is the same as true damage, that you cc the enemy for exactly that duration and nothing less. And tenacity isn't useless at all the way it is right now, stuns, snares and all the cc affected by tenacity is still the majority by far. Everytime I don't buy {{item:3111}} it feels like I'm cc'ed for years once one hits me.

What does wr have to do with anything? His pickrate is higher than 10% in Diamond+ games, and he is only one of the many tankier champs we see on bot now. Doesn't change the fact that we currently have tanks and bruisers going bot. Not complaining that we finally got some diversity, but ADCs just got their long deserved nerfs, and if you now lower total damage on top of that, tanks will become even stronger.

How often.. basic knowledge won't help you if your enemy has far _more_ than basic knowledge on that champion. It just has to be one situation where you don't pay enough attention and that could cost you the game already.

But people are idiots and diamond is still nothing special. Especially Diamond 5 is the real cancer of this game, but that's besides the point. It's not enough if you know how a champions kit works on paper. Even high elo players lack experience in playing against some champions that are never picked. You know, if you play against what's often picked over and over again you get experience in playing against them, know what they are able to do in what situations and in which situations you are able to make your move, can calculate their damage and so on. It's the whole point of getting better, you'll get routine in playing against champions. But if now some dude comes with a champion you are not used to playing against minimum every fifth game, suddenly you don't know for sure on what things you have to focus. And if that dude knows his champion while you don't, he is gonna have the advantage. Sure, you know his basics, that he can jump and knockup you and you should dodge that, that he can revive and so on, but honestly, could you just say that you are able to fully understand his damage and his power spikes? That's exactly the point. You, and your whole team, lack experience in knowing that one enemies critical power spikes and possibilities, and that could cause that you neglect his strengths in a critical moment and suddenly get your ass handed to you. It comes from experience to know what you can and what you cannot do against enemy champions. If you want to tell me that you weren't ever aced by a Yi once cause you didn't save your cc for him in a fight while not knowing his position and he suddenly comes and kills your whole team, you are lying. But if that happens a few times, you'll know how to react in that situation from than on. And that's exactly the thing with Aatrox. No one really knows his possibilities from lack of experience. It doesn't matter if you are low or high elo, you'll still have 10 times less experience in handling that champion than against almost every other champion.

Because pretty much only his mains play him. And even in diamond+ there are still people who don't fully understand how to play against him. It's not about the basics of his kit, but when someone who understands the damage and possibilities of their champ plays against enemies who don't you often end up surprising them, and that goes for all elos. Still, he is never picked in pro play and pretty easy to deny if you play against an enemy that doesn't main or one trick him.

Aatrox currently isn't balanced, he is kept in a pretty weak state actually. His biggest strength is that no one knows what his kit does.
