oh i know exactly why this happens. riot said why this happens. every hook skillshot has a 'clip on radius' thresh has a clip on radius where when its going and it randomly clips to someone its because of that radius. Nautilus has the largest hitbox radius basically what this means is when the ability reaches its max range , an X amount of radius is made around the edge of the skillshot and the game finds the nearest object (pref champs) and clips them to the champion. Since these walls are small when ur touching the wall nautilus hook radius is large enuf to clip thru the wall and to the champion. Another sort of an example is udyr , when he has his bear stance on he gets close to champion and automatically clips/attaaches to the enemy champ it like gives him a boost. for hook abilities , the largest radius in order ( estimating im not sure of exact value ) nautilus thresh blitz pyke for all abilities amumu's q is higher since they changed it recently to find champions in a 100-150 radius at max range

Right now Shyvana must clear as many dragons as possible before elders since she does not scale still (Meddler...) That means she must get as many as possible between 5 min and 35 which is a maximum of 6. However, this is with pumping out dragons wasting time or missing an opportunity reduces it to 5 then 4 etc.. Season 10, 6 dragons must be slain for elder to appear. So no matter what Shyvana is going to get 6 chances. If the enemy are taking some of those as will that means 9 possible dragons can happen, but she can only get 6. The first 2 dragons are random, the 3rd changes the map and spawns every time after at least 3 additional times until one team has 4.

The way all hook's work is that the range is a straight line obv but at the edge the very peak of the hook there is a radius. for example there is a 50 unit radius around blitz's hook. that means when the hook reaches max distance and even tho its away from u the hook "clips" because of the 50 unit radius and then it hits u thats why the easiest longrange cc to hit is amumu then nautilus and then the rest hook champs

I used to think the same where i called out graves skin when he got buffed (the academia one ) and he did indeed get the skin. which prompted me to make a post regarding this exact thing. Sadly it can't be sooner, as we don't push things to PBE over the weekend. **Revisions:** * Q- AP scaling reverted to .6 from .4 * Q- fixed a typo regarding the cast time (was written as .5, is actually .4) * Q- adjusted the animation considerably to look/feel less clunky * W- 3x Armor multiplier when Granite Shield is active has been REINSTATED * W- the bonus damage on the initial Thunderclap hit has had its ratios reduced to compensate (.3 AP from .4) and (.15 Armor from .2) * VFX updates on Passive shield regeneration, Q missile/trench, W up-time/impact, E and R (**BASE SKIN ONLY FOR NOW**) **Context:** Q- Believe it or not, these changes were specifically designed not to nerf AP burst mage builds. We felt like the combination of extra Q range and bonus AP scaling on W would be perceived as a win here. Since that wasn't the case, I'm reverting the AP scaling on Q but nerfing the new W's ratio to compensate. And while I personally do think that Q spam is a little unhealthy, those who came before me were smart enough to gate it behind a high mana cost. I still think this is an elegant solution because the ability is most oppressive in the early game, and its gating mechanism slowly evaporates as Malphite levels up and purchases a mana item. The result is a pretty meaty burst of damage! * The new speed differential between Malphite and his target are significantly buffed. Assuming you Q a target with 400 MS on LIVE, the delta between you would be ~225. In this iteration, that delta explodes to 350+ once you get some boots. The combination of a longer range Q, easier target accessibility, and improved burst damage from W should allow Malphite to participate in skirmishes and team fights without always relying on his R. * Scope for this project was super limited, and for good reason. I'm still new, I'm learning the tools, and bandwidth from art/tech was already accounted for in our project pipeline. Maybe Malphite will get a full VGU in the future, and maybe I'll be the one to do it, but that's currently not in our slate. ...Get it? Slate? Cuz he's a-- nevermind. **Next Steps:** * Next week I'd like to add a check to Q that uses your target's move speed if the amount you'd steal from them would make you faster than the base values. I sincerely hope you guys add more utility items for all clases , not just pure dmg items. Like giving more cdr options to choose from at the moment there are hardly any cdr options to go for , if you want to go 45% cdr you have to have the same exact path every single time. It would be nice if you are building something it should have more differnt building paths and not just one single one. Say im playing an ap mage to get 45% cdr iwould normally go ludens/seraphs + pen boots + deathcap + void + morello + zhonya and this is the build on most champions. there are only two items with pens (three including boots) and you have to build these everysingle time. Would be nice if there were more pen items that provided unique armor pen stats (shared by some items so you cant just stack pen to reach nearly 100% with no matter what mr enemy has) and same thing applies for cdr ,only a handful items provide cdr from items only ( i know transcendence and 10% cdr rune can be taken) im not saying its hard to reach 40% cdr its boring to build the same exact items. another point in this is that non mana ap champs although arent that many dont really have good cdr options either. For AD its also the same exact thing , playing assassin? have to have the same exact three lethality items on every single assassin. game would be much more fun with more variable build paths and not the same exact one on every single champ

: It sounds like you had some rough games there. Looking at the match too, you did super well to help carry your team to victory and definitely deserved the win. Many players have already said this in comments but what I do want to mention here is that many players use third-party sites to psych themselves out before a game even begins. Visual rankings are *NOT* 1 to 1 to MMR, which is what matchmaking looks at when creating a team. The system is never actually against you. It works to try to match you with and against players so that you have as close as a 50/50 chance of winning every game, including promos. Looking at the stats for the game (might be a little off since some have played games since then), the match was fair and even on both sides. The system actually matched that game with your team having a higher % to win. I want to share this because matchmaking is always a frequent inquiry we get in support where players feel it is unfair but the system works as it is intended to.

SO if what you are saying is true , that the system is working as intended and that we are just psyching ourselves out by using third party sites why doesnt riot officially show us ingame stats as to what rank . winrate etc they are in a game. You are saying third party sites are off then why doesnt riot make their own site or system which displays the basic info? mmr , elo , winrate , past rank etc. Wouldnt that fix alot of complaining that "dash dash riot made me play against higher ranks etc?" if the stats are actually simlar and fair posted officially by riot would solve quite a bit of problems imo
