Raptor cloak might be worth as much as boots, for all that it gives. no one buys it. its bad. ohmwrecker is the least built full item and zzrot is the third. the item is undeniably bad. but riot still removes it just because its not very popular. I personally love raptor cloak.
: The problem with Raptor Cloak is that riot kept pushing it as a tank item. The problem with that is their are actually not many tanks that could use it effectly. The main users I have seen this on are juggernauts like {{champion:122}}. I have build it a few items on him and it actually makes his laning very smooth against range matchups. When under my tower I have dodge more poke and I get less punished when trying to go for cs. Hell I can even zone them a bit if they are to far up. In theory this should work for tanks as well but the reality is that this zoning pressure doesn't really work on a champion that doesn't have killing pressure. And for cs'ing their are better alternatives like {{item:3068}} & {{item:3025}} that provide a lot more compaired to Raptors. I wouldn't mind seen this item back if they change the direction for it by pushing it towards fighters (juggernauts, divers) & mages (mainly battlemages) instead. I give some examples: # Mage item {{item:2053}} (900) + {{item:1058}} (1250) + 750 [=2900] Champions that could use this are picks like {{champion:127}} {{champion:131}} {{champion:245}} {{champion:60}} {{champion:28}} {{champion:82}} It could be the second armor item for mages that everyone was waiting for. It could have a lot of AP Juggernauts & AP Divers holding on the laning fase without getting punished to hard on range mathups. # Diver item {{item:2053}} (900) + {{item:3133}} (1100) + 900 [=2900] Basicly the AD variant for divers & juggernauts --- In that situation I strongly believe that {{item:2053}} would be more accepted by the game & it's community.

I loved to buy it on udyr and nasus. not building it into anything but just keeping it like that. being able to dive the tower/run someone down over dead towers was great. it was also super unique since it gave permanent movespeed while in towers. way more fun than just 1 short burst every couple minutes. but removing it just because it isn't very popular is complete bullshit. there are people who actually like the item.

bruh no one buys raptors cloak or both of those items. they're removing it because not enough players buy it. which i think is completely unfair since there are people who use it.

: Your desire to play one specific champ isn't more important than my right to ban any champ I want. Every player gets to ban any one champ. If you're really that worried about the motives behind another player's ban... just stop hovering your pick. Then you'll realize other players just don't want that champion in the game, and it's not because of some toxic or troll reason to piss you off. Also if it's going to completely ruin your experience if you don't get to play one very specific champion... you might not be in the right mood or mindset for league. It's probably best if you take a break and come back when you're in a better state. The great thing about league is that there are dozens upon dozens of champions (140 now), so if the ONE champion you had in mind gets banned or picked before you... there are plenty of other good options to choose from. Also, from a strategic standpoint.. especially in ranked, it's worth taking into account enemy picks and team comps before you truly decide what champion you're going to play. Being so dead set on ONE champion before you even get into queue and being so inflexible about changing what you're going to play that you feel the need to dodge is pretty extreme. If players banning the champion they want to ban is really that much of a problem for you, there is also blind pick available to you where no one gets to ban anything.
> Then you'll realize other players just don't want that champion in the game Why can another player's wishes completely override mine? I'm not inting or feeding. > so if the ONE champion you had in mind gets banned or picked before you... there are plenty of other good options to choose from. It's not about someone picking it before me. It's about someone on my team banning a champ that I love. "good" options do not equate to fun options, or options that I want to play.
: It's a bit of a bigger issue than what it looks like. Riot's views are that, any player should be able to ban any champion they don't want to see in a given match - whether it's on their team or the enemy's. Granted, the community practically universally agrees that it's scummy as hell for a player to ban someone's pick intent if their "victim" is first-pick, but it's kind of a necessary evil. What if a Champion comes out suffering the Camille Effect, becomes contested pick/ban, and someone at the bottom of your team comp wants to play them, but the guy at the top can't secure them - and you don't want to risk letting the enemy team have that Champion? There are a bunch of other cases to consider, but that one provides a really strong point. You should be able to ban whoever you want, regardless of if someone has them as their pick-intent. Most people generally express some courtesy about it.
> What if a Champion comes out suffering the Camille Effect, becomes contested pick/ban, and someone at the bottom of your team comp wants to play them, but the guy at the top can't secure them - and you don't want to risk letting the enemy team have that Champion? Deal with it. If you don't like playing against a particular champ then just don't play. I can see that you don't like playing against an overpowered champ but why do you have the right to take away that privilege from another player? If you want to play but don't like that champ in your game there are a couple options. You could pick that champ for your bottom player and switch. Or, you know... you could be the one to dodge instead of forcing another to do so.
: I would get mad, certainly, but 1. I'm smart enough to have back-ups for that purpose, and 2. I know that that's the cost of something holistically worth the trouble.
"I'm smart enough to have back-ups for that purpose" What if you're not playing seriously, and you just want to play this one particular champ?

: NEW CHAMPION IDEA
Wow this is a cool champion concept! Riot hasn't made a champion yet that directly affects the game with dreams. You seem to have put some effort into this with him/her even having a lore. I like the idea but i feel like there is room for counterplay. His ulti is cool, being able basically make all enemies take bonus damage. However I feel like there should be a moment or so when enemies have a chance to flash or blink out. Also his q being able to turn invisible is kinda unfair, especially for a basic ability. Does his dream form look different from his normal form? I feel like his w is also a little one dimensional since Caitlyn can basically do the same. Maybe it should be an ability he instacasts but with a twist to it like having a short time to activate in a small area (time to detonate is like an Orianna shockwave) but it then stuns them for around 0.5 secs and he can then reactivate to move them in a certain direction There are some aspects I don't understand. For instance how does he fire his Q? is it like irelia ulti that lets him use it again several times after first cast? Is it like Taliyah Q that fires them one at a time instantly? Also his ult is confusing. Are enemies still able to move when affected by his ultimate? Can they cast spells and deal damage? Because if they are stunned that is pretty unfair and not fun. Also this is the perfect ability for kiting comps. You just charge in get the ulti off and you can just kill their dream forms. Very cool and game-changing ability. So much so that i think the rest of his kit should do a little less. Overall a cool champion concept! I will make sure to share this!
: If they actually allow for different playstyles on each champion, I'd be very, very, very happy. Trying out new things is what made league fun for me, and the game has been losing that for forever.
> [{quoted}](name=The Soulforged,realm=NA,application-id=mNBeEEkI,discussion-id=aM8UoYU1,comment-id=0000,timestamp=2017-05-30T20:54:34.393+0000) > > If they actually allow for different playstyles on each champion, I'd be very, very, very happy. Trying out new things is what made league fun for me, and the game has been losing that for forever. I have to agree but i think there is a problem with some of the examples given. For instance the "keystone rune" Riot gave as an example. THIS DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF RUNES REFORGED. the point is to make all rune path diverse for every champion and to make it so there isn't one rune path that is just better than any other. the botched keystone I'm talking about is Berserk. Riot gave Caitlyn as an example but this is a horrible idea. Every Caitlyn would take this keystone because attack speed is (arguably) the best stat for Caitlyn. also those that don't benefit from attack speed wouldn't be able to make any use out of it. They only flat stat that should be allowed is defenses because every champion can benefit from that. The other one with the pet is amazing however because every champion deals damage and almost every champion has a straight up buff to themselves. Most champions also have an ability that affects them(Caitlyn E). THIS is a good keystone, every champion can use it to its potential. Here's the link I got all of these ideas from and explains it much better than me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsRMoH-CdbE
: ik no proxy but tanks don't kill eachother, its wave management and no tanks are ranged and u cant fight eachother cfause u do no damage its a game of waves if u don't clear the wave it crashs and ur turret dies super fast so if you are able set up multiple pushs you are giving one of their turrets a death sentence and that idea is kinda cool
that is really cool. it isn't a game of champions but you're more like a commander and the minions are your army. if you want to win a game you have to manage your troops. however I feel like this could get boring very fast for a lot of people. it would make amazing practice though
mkyner (NA)
: What about making it all jungle instead of lanes?
that's interesting but the problem is that it is easy to back off when a fight goes awry when you are a tank because a: the enemy can't deal damage and b: you're tanky. it would encourage for tanks to take part in these long battles that I love but would make the reward kinda minimal. Also a hunt and kill game is not one for tanks, and was used for assassins in blood moon
: New Game Mode Idea. Tank only Game Mode?
How about a mechanic that makes it harder to run away and easier to chase champions? like a slow when people run away like shen's q, or a speed up when moving towards champions like Yorick e or Vayne passive.(another reason Vayne should not be allowed in the game)
: what if you could play your favorite tanks exept they deal 500% less to champions and 500% more to minions, and minions deal 500% more to champions
I don't know, one problem with an all tank game is that the game would drag on for really long because the tanks would a lot of times not be very good at killing each other. However the bonus damage to minions is a good idea so the tanks can push harder to continue the split push. The 500% more damage from minions is kinda scary because trading in the enemy minion wave is going to be impossible and would make ranged champions very prevalent because the can poke without coming in range of the minions. Also proxying would be virtually impossible.

: Dark Stars in the context of League, not reality Like maybe a LoL dark star is a super-portal of the void, or the void version of the Death Star and Thresh is Darth Vader?
I think that the Dark Star and the Void are one and the same. that it is the conscious power of an entire different dimension trying to break through into Runeterra to take it over. Also Evelynn, Cho'gath, Kassadin, Kha'zix, Kog'maw, Rek'sai, and Malzahar are side effects of the void or excaped void champions. also all of the Dark Star champions and Vel'koz are sent out from the Void or the Dark Star to fight for it.
: Earn new rewards when reaching mastery levels 8, 9 and 10.
This is just an idea but i believe that more is not better. I don't think you should go all the way up to mastery level 10. It would make masteries level 6 and 7 kind of underwhelming My thought is to make mastery level 8 something you have to fight to keep. The idea is to play the champ and go positive consistently on said champion, to be able to keep the rewards for the mastery. Also the before masteries can be acquired by just spamming the champion, so I think someone has to show true mastery of the champion. As for rewards I'm not sure but definitely a mastery icon, announcer badge and probably a loading screen border.(I'm not sure about this because most people don't look at the loading screen too much.) These are just speculation but I thought maybe a summoner icon(that made something happen after a kill like the urf or valentines icons?). Wouldn't an exclusive skin be just a little too much work for something that doesn't even affect the game? That could end up being 150 champions. Maybe while they have the mastery, they get a skin for free that is chosen out by Riot, that disappears when they lose mastery level 8. Maybe you could have an end of season reward like the one for ranking. You could give them some reward for keeping the mastery and not losing it for a period.
: Earn new rewards when reaching mastery levels 8, 9 and 10.

THIS SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME. I CHANGE MY MASTERIES, CLOSE THEM AND NOTHING CHANGES
: So apparently Demacian knights used to ride legendary ebony wyverns into battle.
I highly doubt that Riot would just throw this out for a random reason. THIS HAS TO BE SOME TEASER. RIOT IS TELLING US TO REACT TO IT. WE HAVE TO REACT TO IT!
: 14 day ban because playing Nunu Support with Smite is "stealing other people's roles"...?
This is the most unfair thing I have seen Riot do. Players can play whatever they want so long as they don't intentionally feed or AFK. Riot specifically says that no one can be banned for playing something off meta. 'Unusual' picks are not punishable. But i mean why is this person getting banned? WELL apparently this is different. Riot WookieCookie Stated that playing this forces your team mates to play with this and breaks rules that have never previously been mentioned and are nonexistent. If i pick a team fight tank when my entire team is split push then I am forcing people to deal with whatever I throw at them. So apparently this player is forcing others to play around this by typing in the chat what he is doing and then proceeding to do exactly that and force people to deal with it. If the team doesn't like it then they can que dodge. It's simple. If I state that I am going to level one invade I am also forcing people to play with that. It's exactly the same thing. So many people do it and never get any punishment for it. Because you can't report someone for doing something different or that you're not used to. Same goes for this player. So apparently playing with Support Nunu Smite is a horrible experience. Isn't this the same thing for a lot of other champions? Of course the ADC is going to be a little angry when the support decides to play for the team and not to the ADC's every desire and need. People are going to be angry whenever you lock in that off meta champ in the off meta role. Also there are a lot of champs that are not enjoyable to play with. Your average Singed, Teemo, Master Yi, Shaco, or Rengar are not fun to have on your team. So this idea that not having fun gives you grounds to report someone is absurd. Also I would like to know when they report him exactly. If you lose a game with a player who does something you see as stupid then you are obviously going to be on tilt and decide that being the diamond god nothing is your fault for not giving your peers a chance and you report the off meta player. If you lose a game where you were adc and you had an AD Karthus as a support your probably going to report him. Riot WookieCookie acts like the meta should be controlled. 'throwing the meta on its head' and 'crushing the meta' basically means that Riot expects us to play champs in the role they were meant to be played. Galio got a rework because the people who do play him would play him more as a mage than a tank as Riot designed him to be. So Riot IS banning him for playing off meta. People who can't cope with something new maybe should not play the game. For every one of the 134 champions there are thousands of different ways to play them. There is nothing stopping us from playing a champion in one of those ways so why is this no bannable? Also this is a lot better than a lot of "supports". Take Brand "support" for instance. You stun people. Brand is a second midlaner. This "stealing roles" doesn't make any sense. If the jungler steals camps he is stealing roles. If you pick a mid lane mage for support like Brand Annie or Zyra that is not a support. They are all stealing the midlaner's role. In the same sense isn't taxing "stealing others roles"? So what does Nunu support with smite give to his team? For one although his ADC is mostly behind he gets solo xp and all the other lanes on the enemy team are all behind. Nunu puts A LOT more global pressure on objectives like Dragon Baron and especially Rift Herald. Nunu also has a sitestone from his jungle item that also gives more health. Nunu gives health to his ADC with the new keystone to replace bond of stone. Nunu builds like an actual support and buys shields and heals. Then he also peels for his team with his tankiness and his slows. Therefore not only is this viable and good it is not bannable and people who get angry are just people who won't accept new things. things that League was made to provide. League of Legends was made to give a new experience every game but with the community looking down on new ways to play the game it's hard for innovative players like Take The Draw to play what they enjoy. But if Riot is going to step in to stop this then what really is the point of League?
: Everything that is said here is correct. People report this player because they don't want to play with something new and innovative. You don't play League of Legends to play the same meta and playstyle every game. No one should be punished for playing something new. Feeding and AFK is a completely different thing. THIS IS TYRANNY. If League is supposed to offer a new experience every game then why would you discriminate against this? This is something that is not only new every game and brings back a off meta champion, but is also how the meta was made in the first place. People testing out new stuff so they can have fun. Also this is not winning "at the expense of the teammates". This person has reached the top of the ladder with a champion that was all but forgotten. There is no way you can say that this is a bad pick. He has a descent winrate. THIS IS VIABLE AND NO ONE CAN DENY IT. Please support this genius{{champion:20}}
These players are not being put at the mercy of the nunu support.

: Leaver Buster is a bad system
I have to agree that leaverbuster is a bad idea. Most people don't leave on purpose and just get dissed on by a bad internet connection. I just had that problem with my usually stable internet failing. Also although it might be necessary for players who actually leave, having to sign that 'I Agree' thing was pretty tilting.
