That would be incorrect. It is an altered version of elo, but it is far from the same. Elo first of all don't have seperate limitors to loss/win gain, and promos is a huge block for getting full point value.

K just multiply the value that (W-We) produces. Part of my veiw comes from a Dota 2 artivle where value stated in rare circumstance you can lose mmr on a win. My assumption is That as "W" variable is simply if you won or lose that a positve "W" value is going to still result in a negative value if "We" is higher. As no mater what value k is multiplying it by a negative value results in a negitive number then the Rn value is a net loss. E.a. You won the game but lost mmr. I know Arpad Elo has 2 Independent formulas that can be used in caculating We. I will double check myself when I have time and get back to you on it. The easy solution is to not have ypur system allow negative RN changes if your W had a positive value but that could still in theory result in 0 mmr gains for a win. Going to have to study up on we better it seems.
Chess uses the elo system, which directly transfers points from one part to another. The difference here is that against an evenly matched or weaker opponent, you'll gain less or lose more depending on outcome, where as the elo system would reverse this with an equal or larger outcome.

: Yeah, all you see is average rank, but what you don't see is mmr, matchmaking is based on mmr not on ranks, those gold 4's might be on losing strike and have bad mmr, so they are placed to play against you. You should play ranked flex to see the the big difference in ranks and maybe in mmr too, in flex silver can play against plats, and gold can play against dias, but it's funny that they can't que together, so i would never suggest to play flex and expect balanced matchmaking, In solo/duo its kinda balanced, not always but most of the times. Mmr is purely defined on wins and loses, so if you hit losing strike you may have lower mmr than your rank and have low lp gains and big lp loses, but if you are on winning strikes your mmr might be higher than your rank and your lp gain will increase and but lp losses decrease. The best way to know your mmr is through your lp gain, it tells you how good your mmr is, for dia+ this might be incorrect and its because of Rito, they are trying to fix it, but currently we don't know when it's gonna be fixed.

That is not what he said. He said mastering a champion's kit requires very little effort, and that's completely true, but learning proper macro gameplay is what's hard. Once you master that, however, you can practically pick up any champion and climb with them. This is why a lot of challengers can swap between meta champions very quickly.

And what is he now? All his power is put into his Q, which was possible to hit people with due to E, and that has now been lowered to 1 charge instead of 2. Downright thrash and impossible to balance is what he is currently. Also, all the modenization in Irelia's kit has been removed now. She's back to being a dashing auto attacker with a bit of CC. The only difference now is that she traded her true damage for magic damage and attack speed, and her tenacity is now in the form of physical damage reduction.

Getting off double Q is easy, but if your claim is that it won't happen because your target is surrounded by the enemy team, then do you honestly believe that 1 QSS when building 0 defensive items will save you? Because if you want to get even remotely close to one shotting a squishy with Q+E+W alone, you need old {{item:3147}}, pre-nerfed {{item:3095}} and at least 2 levels advantage. Currently you can delete someone at around 60%-70% hp with Q+E+W, if they have no defensives and you're full AD.

Such an uneducated respond. Do you have any idea how Rengar works at all? QSS+heal is a choice which costs a significant amount of burst damage. Burst damage that you likely need in order to eliminate someone.
: Kha’zix doesn’t compare, if Kha’zix Jumps on you in a group he’s straight inting due to how hard his damage falls off without isolation (unless you and that group space too far or are all low) but rengar has no fall off if there are more than one hence why this post is here. Kha’zix is scary if you are splitting as a squishy and rengar is scary regardless of number.
I feel like we need to move beyond the point of the oneshot here. The point was that Kha'zix has an escape after an assassination attempt, even if he doesn't make the kill, as his ult allows him to sneak away even without being evolved. Rengar dies, straight up.

You didn't respond to my question though. Fizz ult can indeed be dodged, but the point is does Fizz, Zed, LB and the others give you more or less time to react? Does Fizz screaming 'SHARK' give you more counterplay options than being given a glowing warning above your head way before the leap? Does it matter that you dodge Zed's Q's if you die to auto+E+elec+dusk+ignite anyway, which is also instant damage? And what about these champs {{champion:38}} {{champion:7}} {{champion:141}} {{champion:28}} you mentioned nothing about. What makes Rengar a special case? What about his non-existant escape that all the above has minus Shaco and Kayn?

Mainly, why does his W have a fucking cleanse and grey health mechanic.. seriously why the fuck is there a cleanse mechanic and an instant grey health heal on an assassin???? At least if I fucking catch kha'zix or he jumps in on me in a teamfight, he's gunna die and not ignore everything thrown at him. Even talon you can see coming a mile away and then CC him the moment he jumps.. not rengar tho he gets a cleanse! Hell you can't even 100-0 him back since he can go bruiser due to his passive giving him more damage then he needs with a lead and heal half his health back while reverse one shotting you.
That is because Rengar is not an assassin. Becoming tanky or dealing burst damage is a choice for Rengar, he can't do both at the same time. Sure if he saves both W's for survivability he can shrug off a lot of damage, but go ahead and post me 1 video clip of a Rengar that one shots someone with only base Q and E without being 5 levels ahead. Should he instead sacrifice his W for damage and to gain 4 ferocity, he's still not in a position where he'll one shot anyone, but now has the choice to do so with an empowered Q. Also, where is the escape on Rengar that Kha'zix has?

You're plat 1 you should be able to figure this out mate. Wanna know what seperates {{champion:107}}{{champion:28}} from {{champion:105}} {{champion:38}} {{champion:141}} {{champion:121}} {{champion:7}} {{champion:35}} {{champion:238}}? It's that Rengar and Eve actually grants you a warning that you're about to be eaten. The others just make it happen. Why is Rengar a special case when Kayn comes out of a wall with 700 ms, Kha'zix runs at you with true stealth and resetable leaps or LeBlanc points and clicks you down from range. But not only do the latter just one shot you, they can also escape the fight straight after (besides Kayn and Shaco). What is the counter to Zed's 2-hit one shot R, Fizz' shark, Kayn's AoE burst, Kha'zix' uptime and Kassadin's unkiteability. Is the answer {{item:3157}}? Because that applies to Rengar's burst as well. What about {{summoner:4}} then? Also applies to Rengar as you'll avoid E, W and ferocity burst by creating distance.

High DPS machines that you need to mow down. when im talking about mechanical counterplay, im talking about a weakness in vaynes kit that you can play around no matter the champion youre playing yourself. if melee carries need to be designed around having mechanical counterplay in their kits, then ranged carries should be held to the same design standarts. since their range grants them already higher reliability through target access and frontloaded damage, they need to be held to even higher standarts. the fact that they arent is the reason why the class is so toxic and so hard to balance. skillshot abilities for example have mechanical counterplay. you can dodge them. it doesnt matter which champion youre playing. every champion in the game can sidestep a skillshot ability. fioras vitals have mechanical counterplay. no matter which champion in the game youre playing, you can position yourself to hide vitals inside walls and protect them from being being attacked by fiora. urgots shotgun legs have mechanical counterplay. no matter which champion youre playing, you can outposition him in a way, where he doesnt get more than a single leg proc on you by moving so you face the same side of his hitbox while fighting him. vayne has no such element in her kit, except for the stun on her e. the problem is, the stun happens to be attached to a direct target displacement that you still take even when she misses the stun itself.

The majority of melees are heavily dependant on landing their kit to be effective, though often the reward is also significant {{champion:266}} {{champion:122}} {{champion:420}} {{champion:32}} {{champion:64}} etc. Ranged carries aren't restricted to this and the only real criteria for them is to be alive and in range to be at full effectiveness. It's one of the reasons why I consider {{champion:202}} to be among the best designed marksmen. There are multiple ways to reduce his effectiveness, by either preventing Q from increasing in damage through positioning, or dodging his most potent long ranged abilities. Not to mention that Jhin gives you plenty of opportunity to decide if you want to keep up the fight, or disengage before he executes a lethal fourth shot, after which he's vulnerable.

The idea is not bad Imo he's simply overtuned. Heals too much and does too much damage. Also, hooks are never useless. Ever.

Cleanse is actually better than QSS when it comes to removing non-suppression cc just because you don't need to invest said 1300 gold AND an item slot. That's huge. There's a reason why in pro play everyone takes Cleanse vs lissandra instead of buying QSS.
However, that item slot gets spent on an item that provides stats just like your what you normally would fill it out with. The trade is minor compared to the fact that picking {{summoner:1}} means you have to give it up for one of these {{summoner:3}} {{summoner:7}} {{summoner:14}} {{summoner:21}} {{summoner:12}}
