The idea here is that you buy Mercurial/QSS if the active feels like something you need, mainly against teams or champions with those few big CC threats. If the item line doesn't seem to be effective in those cases after this change, then it could probably use an adjustment, whether stats or otherwise. this change makes the item 101% useless and people will just opt to buy banshee's instead by the way is mikael still removing zed ult?
QSS will still be number one priority against Malzahar, Skarner and Warwick.
: CS:GO can actually calculate personal performance though by the Kill/Assist/Death, defuses/hostages, accuracy, and damage, because everybody starts at approximately an even footing and everybody has access to everything else. A player in CS:GO isnt forced to go supportive (defuse kit, smokes, flashes, etc) at the expense of buying a gun. A player can go 'tanky' with a kevlar and helmet and still get damage. Its much more difficult to make an algorithm that determines how well your Janna peeled for you.
> CS:GO can actually calculate personal performance though by the Kill/Assist/Death, defuses/hostages, accuracy, and damage K/D/A, objectives, participation in team fights and objectives, damage, the parameters are actually very similar in both games... > Its much more difficult to make an algorithm that determines how well your Janna peeled for you. The CS:GO algorithms don't care how well you placed your smoke grenades either.... don't make it unnecessarily complicated. > A player in CS:GO isnt forced to go supportive (defuse kit, smokes, flashes, etc) at the expense of buying a gun There can be rounds when it might be more useful for your team to buy grenades instead of an expensive rifle. Generally you should never buy a rifle if you can't back it up with kevlar. But that is an entirely different topic and I don't know where you wanted to go with this.
: you can't rank unorganized play and organized play on the same ladder
Yes you can, CS:GO does it without any big issues as well... the only difference is, that CS;GO has a system that calculates personal performance, unlike LoL. This is probably something that LoL is in dire need of, if they want the dynamic queue to be successful in the long run.

: Are walls coded as minions as well? I jam up on Anivia walls too much from this patch alone.
Yeah, I can confirm your experience. Anivia walls count as terrain (not minions), so it will be used by the new path finding as well, just like any other blocking terrain :)
