: Understanding Ashe's Passive
Stormrazor triggers just apply Ashe's critical slow, I think _(her critical strikes triple the passive's slow briefly)_. Also, fun fact, her W registers as a critical strike from her passive, so Infinity Edge will convert 10% of that to true damage too.

It's not like Stormrazor gives +35% AS or anything. Kai'Sa starts Stormrazor because Rageblade's build path is ass, Jinx because it scales her Q better _(more AD and more AS than BotRK)_, and Xayah because more AS is more feathers. Vayne prefers BotRK because she's a low range single-target duelist and thus likes the life steal and active. Ashe doesn't really prefer BotRK so much as Stormrazor sucks on her, leaving BotRK her only actual option. AD and AS scale off each other, so an item that grants a large amount of both is strong on marksmen in most cases.

Rageblade gains stacks on-attack, meaning that Runaan's Hurricane bolts and abilities that apply on-hits won't stack it because they weren't basic attacks you performed. On-hit means when you hit an enemy with a basic attack, or an ability that applies on-hit effects.

Yi's Q doesn't apply on-hit effects, though. It can just critically strike for bonus damage. As for spell shields, you have to shield when Yi reappears, I think. Alpha Strike doesn't actually do damage until Yi reappears.

Lowered AS means Jhin gets less bonus AD from it, and the scaling being halved means that his next item RFC doesn't amplify the damage as much. Graves, honestly, is going to be a problem no matter what. He was still plenty strong before Stormrazor anyway.

My own thought on Stormrazor: - Reduce the AS to 25%. - Change Storm's Edge's critical damage scaling to (+1% per 1% Critical Chance), meaning you'd need 60% critical chance to max it. Leading off with a 170% damage critical strike with Stormrazor + Zeal upgrade while having +55-70% AS (depending on Zeal upgrade) is still plenty strong, I think, while not being quite so stupid, then you cap it upon finishing your second Zeal upgrade or Infinity Edge, and proceed to ADC as normal.

That's literally Volibear's passive, but with a bunch of stat boosts tacked onto it.
: One thing--really, the only thing-- that concerns me is the nearly absent rank up reward for E. Since they were used as examples in explanation already, I'll point to Relentless Pursuit and Quickdraw, but also add in Arcane Shift, Valkyrie, Distortion, Leap, and Spinning Slash: Collectively, they are "Dash and" abilities. (I know, Arcane Shift is a blink-type, but shhh.) Their _base functionality_, being _able to dash_, is improved with ability rank, no questions: Their cooldowns decrease. Their "ands" either do damage (not Graves/Lucian) or support the ability (Graves/Lucian). They both have the cooldown reduced on auto _and give you_ an auto (Graves directly, Lucian Lightslinger-wise). Lucian's lowers in mana cost as well, so you can dash more (cost) on top of dashing more (cooldown). Graves's gives him defensive stats and its cooldown decreases much faster when he's up close, thusly enabling him to dash more (cooldown) by letting him not die. It does create a really _fun_ synergy with R (E-dash, take a hit, E-dash, R-dash, take a hit, E-dash) but that's really all that that has, and that doesn't really work until rank 3 or 4 at minimum since the reset amount is % based (not double-dipping your CDR). There are, though, quite a few abilities with similarly small rank up incentives, so, really, this wall of words might as well amount to >¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Something that rewards you dash-wise for using the kit would be all that belongs there-- you could make it something like "Damaging more than one enemy with your other abilities reduces the cooldown" instead of / in addition to the Steam Ballast-based reset to give it that synergy. (Also for how well-seen this is I'm surprised that nobody else commented.)

I sympathize with people who miss their old champions. I also want to try and view the situation objectively, though. I really don't have a place to be discussing the old Galio because I played him maybe once. All I can comment on is based on reading his old kit on the wikia and thinking about how it meshes up with his themes. A magically-resistant stone construct built to protect. Thematically and class-wise, Galio wants to be a warden, a steadfast defender disrupting enemies that try to assail his team. Especially given what happened in his old lore, where he was helpless to fend off the assailants who killed Durand. His old kit was more or less a utility poke mage _(yeah, old Galio was more or less reads as the type of champion he was supposed to counter)_ followed by an ultimate fit for a warden _(moreso warden than vanguard because Galio lacked a good way to actually enter a fight outside of Flash)_. He really didn't feel like he was doing the whole "protector" thing very well since his only contributions on that front were a single-target defensive steroid and his fairly long-CD ultimate. An ultimate that was VERY easily disrupted, whether by any sort of hard CC from outside its taunt range _(since Galio had no way to evade it)_ or any auto modifier that can cancel it. To get optimal use out of it, you needed Flash, possibly Banshee's Veil, making sure you weren't catching a Q-prepped Garen/Leona/Xin or a Bear Stanced Udyr, and possibly needing to ban Braum because his passive breaks Idol of Durand just by existing. There's a reason his W and R were considered the most iconic abilities he had, because they actually did what Riot wanted Galio to do. Allow Galio to protect his allies and disrupt the enemy. This is why his rework was designed around the idea of getting into the fight and disrupting the enemy directly with his W and E, crushing them with his passive, and then his ultimate taking up Bulwark's "make your charge tankier" functionality as well as playing into Galio's theme of protection from on high. Characterization's a bit of a grey area, but Galio's reasons for acting like such a large ham are pretty solemn. When he lives, he wants to really live, not just for himself, but also for all the Demacians whose lives he witnessed being cut short from his silent vigil. Reworks tend to be a case of "this is what Riot actually wanted the champion to be conceptually, but the early limitations of small indie company meant that the concepts went somewhat un-realized".
Galiö (NA)
: He isnt as tanky now, cause galio has more up time (CC to contribute) in the rework. Sorry I wasnt clear. His old W made him far tanker by itself not including his old R. Technically he has less crowd control over time even with a full new W and E compared to his old R, but u can spam W and E now. They didnt give new Galio almost anything that pre rework Galio had. It's harder to see that cause galio is a caster compared to someone like aatrox that went from AA based to a Caster. I'm just saying Galio is 10% of what he was before while aatrox is let's say 20% I woulda said 15% if it wasnt for his appearance not being much more similar in comparision. Both were pretty big changes.

Because he's a big stone construct, why wouldn't he be designed to be in the middle of a fight? The old Galio had absolutely no reason to be in close quarters fight outside of Idol of Durand, since the rest of his kit was two poke spells and a W that was better cast on someone who actually DID want to be in the middle of a fight and could use the resistances _(especially since, in the middle of a fight, Galio would probably end up taking more damage than Bulwark would heal him for anyway)_. For what it's worth, I do think Bulwark was a neat ability, and it's cool that Knight's Vow lets any tank have a variation of the "protect an ally while sustaining yourself" effect.
: His W? What? His W was nothing more than an MR / Armor buff that gave a minor healing statcheck buff to him when an ally was being hit with something. Not easy to utilize on anyone that isn't a tank and boring enough to be comparable to Nunu's old W. I don't know in what world you played Galio in but most people only picked him for the game-changer ultimate.

Plus the fact that you named her passive "World's Coil" when the Jörmungandr was known as the World Serpent. That said, on paper Lernea seems really weak early game for a juggernaut. Her W does a miniscule amount of damage early on, and Q has way too high a CD to be used as harass. On top of her sheer size making it really hard for her to avoid damage _(even if the damage is mitigated somewhat by hitting a segment of her tail)_. She actually sounds more like a tank to me. Her passive makes her amazing at body-blocking, she wants a lot of Health and resistances due to how relatively easy it is to damage her, and her ultimate is potentially a ridiculous wombo combo lead-in.

: The old one made the stupid Karthus global 1-shot a thing. Like, overloading a useless ability until it isn't so useless just by virtue of shoving a shit ton of shit into it doesn't make it a well designed ability, nor does it make old Nunu's kit any actual good. What type of tank just sits there and slows people all day in today's League of Legends?

All it really got used for was boosting Karthus ults when funnel strats were a thing.

Nunu's only ally buff was Blood Boil.

It had to be in the top 10 most annoying abilities in the game to be hit by _(incidentally Nasus' Wither probably ranks up there too)_.

Makes you immune to all CC. Meaning when timed right, could dodge Camille ult, Morgana bind, and a lot of other things. This meant, that Ornn, a tank, now had a 9 second anti-cc buffer on his W. at level 1. THis made him so OP. Someone diving you under turret? Use W. They removed it cause it made him so OP. Almost all other unstoppables are on ults, Warwick Ult, Zac Ult, Sion Ult. 9 seconds? Are you high? Orrns W is 3.5 currently, and it was 2.5 before. Theres nothing wrong with orrn having outplay ability... And while it might have been to strong before - back when orrn did 25% max health over 2.5 seconds - it most certainly wouldnt be to strong NOW due to the nerfs which have occured since.

And while it might have been to strong before - back when orrn did 25% max health over 2.5 seconds - it most certainly wouldnt be to strong NOW due to the nerfs which have occured since. Wasn't Ornn only unstoppable during the march itself? He only marches forward for 0.75 seconds. Coupled with the shield, that basically made his W a Riposte with a lower cooldown that dealt %HP magic damage and applied Brittle _(which then did more %HP magic damage)_.
: I personally didn't like the Darkin becoming fallen Ascended, I think it looped far too much of the lore in on itself which leads to stagnation and too many explanations. I much preferred when the Darkin were an unknown alien force from outside the world threatening invasion and extermination of the humans. I think it explained their introduction of new magics better (Blood Magic) as well as gave us an understanding without explaining it as to why Darkin beings trapped in weapons would still be able to exert their will and form onto those who bore the weapons. I think the amount of unknown around the Darkin as otherworldly invaders made for a much richer story with limitless potential, and also provided a new type of villain to enrich the world with, aside from Void and Undead.

So rather than the Darkin having a tie-in to the Void, you wanted them to just be a second Void? Unknown alien force threatening invasion, whose members hunger for something humans can provide. Yeah, the Void's recurring theme is hunger, which manifests in the Darkin as well by their drive to consume their hosts for form and power.

: It counts as a legendary skin for the events riot hasn't done in 2-3 years where if you get a legendary skin, you'd get another free skin. http://www.surrenderat20.net/2016/04/draven-day-2016.html > Between now and April 11th, Draven is also hosting the LEGENDARY AXES promotion! Similar to the Legendary Snowball promotion, LEGENDARY AXES will give you a free mystery gift when buying or being gifted a legendary or higher tier skin and then continue if you happen to get another legendary or higher skin out of that gift! You'll also snag the DRAAAVEN icon if you buy or gift a legendary or ultimate skin!

Actually Primetime Draven is just a legendary skin period. It has an entirely new VO, which makes it legendary tier. It's just permanently discounted because it's a celebration of e-sports. Surprise Party Fiddlesticks is also a discounted legendary skin, though it's not really legendary by today's standards. It's still the only skin in the game that changes an ability icon, though. Or at least it did, I'm not sure if it still does since they updated his icons.

Aatrox still just wants combat, and Urgot is still the "definition of a self-made man" (that's one of his quotes lol). But I think Riot works based on eventually wanting everyone to be competitive and viable, I will say that having a classic gamemode would be fun where they had old unreworked champions available to play, but that isn't realistic for Riot doing in normal and ranked games because of their goal. Most of the reqorks have lore, gameplay, and itemization that reflects something that could be considered a seperate champion. Old mains of a champ get told to fucl off if they dont lile the reqorl because "they were playing a bad champ" only bad because they're among the few things that riot actually says is bullshit and oppressive in a game full of opressive bullshit, then they have their mains removed from the game Aatrox was an aa based light fighter with an attack speed focus amd a gap closer, his lore was more of a dark shepard who qould protect his flock, cull it, amd eat of it. Like a devil with an investment in a strong and successful humanity sp he could feast off of them. New aatrox is more of an ability focused juggernaut who is evil bc rotp says so. Old urgot was a poke mage who stacked a tear amd shredded armor, new urgot is a juggernaut who has a self augmentation power addiction. Old yorick was a goofy evil duelist and lane bully mage/fighter hybrid New yorick is an edgey antihero juggernaut who functions as an alternate design for nasus or mordekaiser reworks amd literally afk splitfarms from champ select Imagine if they reworked your champion into a new class entirely, changed not only their backstpry but also the mood of that backstory so that you have what amounts to a new champion. And then didnt reset your mastery so you couldn't traxk your progress all the while telling you that your taste is bad and ypu should feel bad

Aatrox still does the things you described him doing in lore, though. He wants the strong to thrive, so that he may use them as either sustenance for his form or as pieces in a great cataclysm, a Ragnarok that he hopes will end the curse that has bound him. He has threads of his former nobility as a Sunborn echoing within his subconscious, and is constantly torn between them and the madness wrought from his battle with the Void as well as his ages of imprisonment. His rage and bloodlust help to quiet out his former self's discontent and keep him focused on his self-appointed goal. His moments of reflection are also poetic in a way, like his old version's speech patterns. _"Once in noble battle, I screamed against the silence. I stood as light against the darkness. Now, I serve a new master... oblivion..."_ _"Dark deeds I will do this day... Though I will carry myself as my former pride dictates!"_ _"I am but an unholy copy of life... A mockery of its freedom... And born in the cruel betrayal of the noble ideals I would've served."_ _"I touched the stars, and saw the glorious light of a thousand suns! Now, blinded by this elegance, how could my purpose be anything... but dark..."_
: Semi global, more like panth at max range, or even less. Don't jump on the specifics, its just a general idea of how his kit could have been more interesting.

Don't jump on the specifics, its just a general idea of how his kit could have been more interesting. Panth's ult has 5500 range. For a comparison, Galio's ult has 4000/4750/5500, and Taliyah's has 3000/4500/6000.
: I dread the upcoming Morgana update simply because I'm afraid they'll do what they did to gangplank or akali. Gangplank's entire "personality" changed. He became an emo edgelord pirate. Akali, doesn't even look like old Akali. Why the change? Honestly why? Like it's fine to adjust a kit and get some new particle effects, but if you completely change the look and kit into an entirely different champion thats just stupid. Just release a new champion. Take morgana for example. By the way, I'm not sure if they're just doing a visual update or also some kit changes anyway.. * Morgana needs to retain high levels of cc with a dark binding like mechanic. That's just who she is. * She needs to still have her spell shield. Whether its buffed or nerfed doesn't matter. That's just part of who she is as a champion. * She obviously still needs to be an angel. * She needs to look essentially the same. Slim, hourglass figure, long purple hair, huge boobs, and some kind of dress. * Use the same voice actor, keep some of the same lines and add more. It's fine to tweak these things. Hell, desexualize her somewhat, but don't turn her into Jinx or something in appearance. That's not Morgana. She was the first champion I bought back in season 1 and shes always been my one trick. How disappointed do you think I'd be if end up with a champion that isn't even recognizable to Morgana other than her name? I'd probably just quit. It really worries me.

He became an emo edgelord pirate. Gangplank's "personality" before was literally just a list of stock pirate lines. Which, coupled with his jolly seafarer voice, was really at odds with his lore as a brutal pirate captain. What with the whole "I killed my dad and took over his crew" thing. _(Yeah, him killing his dad at age 16 to take over as the captain was always part of his backstory.)_ I do wish Captain Gangplank had stayed his default look and VO, though, and that "Undead/Dredged" Gangplank was the skin for the Bilgewater event.
: What Aatrox SHOULD have been
Also, you realize that ultimate would have a high chance of getting Aatrox nerfed because of pro play, right? Just about every instance of a long-range teamfight disruption ultimate has been a pro balance issue. {{champion:3}} {{champion:41}} {{champion:98}} {{champion:163}}
: I say this again and again on Aatrox threads: Aatrox was never good, even in concept because we had a stronger version of him before he was released: Xin Zhao. I'll copy-paste my explanation here: Every single patch without Conqueror, he was the bottom of the barrel for AA-based fighters. And why? Because Xin Zhao provided every single strength Aatrox had-- without the need for the revival gimmick, or having to choose between healing and damage-- both being stronger on his ability that did both at once. And when Xin Zhao wasn't the go-to, it was because other strengths were needed-- strengths that Aatrox simply didn't have because he was nnothing but an inferior Xin Zhao. Especially since Xin Zhao's rework that gave him an even better ultimate than any revive. Yeah, it sucks that the one time Aatrox was top-tier was right before his rework was completed. But that has nothing to do with him specifically. The combination of his E's cost being removed and Conqueror's introduction pushed him far and above what was intended for the rune.
> [{quoted}](name=Knickolas,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=bAiiplqU,comment-id=0000,timestamp=2018-10-17T22:11:39.376+0000) > > Yeah, it sucks that the one time Aatrox was top-tier was right before his rework was completed. But that has nothing to do with him specifically. The combination of his E's cost being removed and Conqueror's introduction pushed him far and above what was intended for the rune. Also because Conqueror's introduction removed most tanks from top lane, because there's probably nothing that Aatrox hated more than a tank that could rush Bramble/Tabi and render him entirely useless in lane.
