: Why would they even add this mission 3 weeks before the NA games start if it was just meant for NA matches?
Maybe to hype the season? I don't know it seems like such a minor thing. Season gets hyped through the main client when its ready, and people catch on after reddit/twitter/ etc start to get flooded with lcs plays/memes/ etc. Worse yet, I was actually down to check out lpl and lck but none of the vods work

: You dont know what VGU means then **V**isual **G**ameplay **U**pdate So, tell me again how does Udyr already have a VGU if his Gameplay is the same
Tell me how you're such a pedantic, that you're unwilling to look at the point itself which was clearly meant to be sarcastic. Firstly, Spirit Guard Udyr should have been Udyr's base skin (there's your VU, or VISUAL update), considering it wasn't Riot's first Visual update. Secondly, calling it a VGU was clearly a jab at Riot for selling this skin at a premium. Maybe English isn't your first language, but that should clear things up in case you missed some of the context.

He doesn't have very different games. Most of his games are quite lengthy and he had more 40+ min games than 15 or 20 min surrenders

: How scaling champions are supposted to scale if almost every game ends in 20min?
Who are you lying to here... I don't understand what the point of this post is. Check your match history, here are the lengths of your last 20 games in minutes: 43 15 32 44 26 40 15 26 30 45 27 31 36 20 44 34 32 24 rm 17 Not counting the remake, that's 4 games that ended quickly (surrenders I'm assuming). In fact, 5 of your games were 40+ min long So more of your games take longer than games that end 20 or less. So again, what was the point of your post, why bother creating a false narrative?
: Champions VGUs after Fiddel and Voli + pls do more per year
Udyr has one already. His VGU was sold at a premium price and called "Spirit Guard Udyr"
: Sett's actually making me enjoy league again after a year and a half
I also like sett, but I think Urgot, Irelia reworks were good. Keeping what was important to the kit and making it more congruent with the newer style (leaving them as stat checks was bad).

: What's it gonna take to get you to focus on reducing damage riot?
Everyone talking about high damage, not realizing this is how the game always was... just look back to beta and season 1. You want a game with low damage? Check out heroes of the storm. Often feels like wet noodles hitting each other. The issue becomes you lose ability to solo carry, since everything is more team dependent. However, slower damage doesn't make things better. A lot of the time the better team just wipes you out slower, and once ur down 4v5, you may as well back out.

: Honestly 3 10-30$ refunds ever is in no way "a considerable cost to Riot", especially given the RP is the only thing getting refunded and they literally still have the money. That is not quite "Sense of pride and accomplishment" level but that is some serious PR bullshit. Frankly refunds are a rather rare thing and I've heard of instances of people using support tickets to get additional refunds where reasonable. But unless there's a chargeback there's no way a refund comes at any cost to Riot. Like what, are they considering it abuse for someone to refund an old skin they're not using to unlock a new one of the same RP cost? Your suggestion of time locking it makes sense even if that's an issue, but they almost never just release a single skin at a time. They're always parts of bundles with themes. Even using all 3 refunds at once means you're "abusing" the system to get a couple newer skins. Time locking refunds and one per year with a cap of 3 would be a pretty elegant way to prevent abuse cases. Obviously you don't want infinite refunds because otherwise you've got someone spending 30$ on the game and they basically own every skin of that price or lower whenever they want. But the idea of this happening once a year and being considered a big financial detriment is laughable. Edit: So 103 people agree with the OP, 17 people upvoted the thread. If you're going to downvote a post which seems highly agreeable to the OP while agreeing with them maybe consider using your words and telling me why I'm wrong :3

While they won't be making new money from their new skins, at least from me, they won't be making that money anyway. I can't keep up with purchasing all of the skins they release at the cost they release them at. I basically purchase some RP, then let it sit for a long time until a skin I REALLY like comes on sale at 50% or better (rarely I'll bite on 40%).
: Zephyr
I agree with you and Brodka. The game would be much better if it just started with 4 players max, letting you actually plan for your opponents much better. I don't understand the 8 man free for all decision. I'd much rather prefer a 1v1, right from the start, you can see everything your opponent does constantly, as he can see with you. As it stands though, this is how they're going to leave it... which is sad because the game does have some decent potential.
: AR gamemodes are the most shit type of gamemodes.
I actually really enjoy the AR version of URF more than standard. While you will often see recurring "top tier" champs between matches, it will just be a couple from the pool. The mode doesn't devolve into a stale meta and you get a much larger degree of variety between matches. Maybe you're a 1 trick type, so I have a different experience since I try to play a large variety of champs (at least in normals -- but even in ranked I don't mind flexing any lane, and have a couple of champs I'd feel confident on in any spot).
: I thought the R in ARURF meant random
Because statistically with only 1 50 champs in the game you'll almost certainly see at least one it those ... Especially since each team has up to 10 re rolls. Typically you will get 3 or 4.
: Deadass? That's kinda silly, but thank you!
I tried watchign the LPL games but no vods available... I don't know why they even bother to put LPL and LCK in the vods section if they won't upload the games.

I don't want any twitch personalities, but I suppose some would. In universe champion announcers is what I want.
: Very disappointed with Sett Mecha Skin
Looking at Mecha Sett I wouldn't have ever guessed it was him (and not in a good change the character way). Also why does he have a cape...
: Mecha Kingdoms are a Hit!!!!
Personally it's a no for me. Too many mech, project, cyber type skins in the game, it's starting too look muddled when you have too many in the game. Also, why does Sett have a cape... isn't he a giant mech? I do like it better than a generic hip hop line to be fair. But as far as making garen the prestige skin, his god king skin is still his premium skin for me, even though I prefer Rugged or Rogue admiral.
: I too think they should dip a little more into fanservice. Things like Butler Sett, Maid Miss Fortune, etc would go a long way, and people would buy them nearly immediately.
My fav skins honestly are weird things like KogMaw's monarch butterfly... an old but still a great skin for him. PugMaw... I think I actually own the most skins for kogmaw... not very fan servicey, but they're all cool and weird. Giant crabgot (already mentioned) Cottontail Deep sea (i personally really like this idea-- one of my personal phobias; I'm sad theyre showing it as unpopular, since a lot of the skins were kind of bland early on, even atlantean syndra which I like). I liked cat vs dog. Hearing Yorick ult with the cat spirit meowing made me just laugh in the middle of a tense game. I know they also mentioned eldritch volibear... they could tie this with the coven skin line. Coven lissandra/camille are super pretty. But it doesnt just have to be attractive female types. Coven Jhin (the mask), or weird eldritch horrors, coven chogath (play off cthulu mythos), etc.

: bring back twisted treeline
They really should revamp the map and release it with a big celebration. Instead of the TFT season pass, give us treeline season pass. Have 3v3 as a tiebreaker in competitive, something to bring it to the public's eye, and it will be played. Some of my most memorable games were on 3v3.
: What are Skin Lines you think need expanding? (Excluding popular ones like SG, High Noon, PROJECT)
I'm a little sick of all of these robot/mech skins... the characters are all starting to look too similar -- Sett is almost unrecognizable (why does a giant mech have a cape?). I get that they are pushing what sells, but I miss when league came out with cool and weird stuff. I'm not saying they don't anymore, but I really hope they don't do another "urban hip hop" skin line. It's making the game more bland. The akali and ekko true damage skins ended up looking more like project skins I think the Elderwood line is getting really good. The dark fantasy is a good look, and the orn skin looks really good. I'm mixed on Dark Star. Some of the skins look like purple/black messes (Varus), but others turn out decent. The morde one looks nice, I hope they do something cool with his ult. I'm surprised he said no more snowdown... that line has some of the best skins. Santa draven etc. Moreover a lot of those give you an advantage in aram with the particles blending better with the map. I agree that Coven and Chemtech is cool. I'd also like to see more Kaiju monsters (giant enemy crabgot is the best 450rp skin easily). At least for me, the main issue is the overall price of skins... Yes they're releasing a ton, but I can't spend 15$ per skin. So I end up saving my RP almost exclusively for sales. For example, I like the Pizza Sivir a lot, but they set the discount to 40%... maybe I'll just wait for 50 or 60%. Also when the personalized store releases 20% discounts that's an automatic writeoff. I know it won't happen, but if skins were cheaper, I'd probably get a lot more. Also for me, another easy sell is fan service -- sexy vayne, caitlyn, kaisa, ahri, etc? I'm 100% down. Male lizard brain too strong. For example I have most of Irelia's skins but havent played her for years.

: Completely agree. The context I typed it in was in a funny manner where a teammate failed hard and the whole team found it funny. Considering disabling chat permanently. This is crazy.
Another thing. Most games start in good humour. People making jokes about sexy character skins. Using swear words liberally. Etc. But what if someone gets salty after and reports. Without context all that's seen is bad words and edgy humour Another thing that worries me is if my opponent makes a laughably bad play. I'll type idiots in tram chat. My oppnonets don't see it and my teammates can laugh at the play with me, boosting team morale.what if we get desotryed later on and someone gets toxic . Can I get banned because typing idiots early on has zero context by itself?
: Sett + Sylas bug?
this is funny every time I see it
: Having 5-11 effective untargetabilities on a 1-.625 second CD might have something to do with how sturdy she seems. Doesn't matter how squishy you make her as long as she has those.
Don't need to target her if you can do AOE. Some champs should have a hard time vs her, let her have favourable matchups, that's always been a part of this game. Like I said, I'm fine with her overall idea. But she needs something toned down. I feel like Kat is worse, once she gets low cooldowns, you can't juke her at all since she will get on top of you and reset all of her dagger abilities. Another champ with no mana, high damage, low cooldowns and high healing.
Naalith (NA)
: The only female character who has been unnecessarily sexualized since Elise's release (and btw, a good argument could be made that Elise's sexualization is perfect for her character and not just fan service) is Kai'sa, who everyone universally hates design and lore wise. Every other attractive female character is justified by their story. Qiyana is a haughty teenager/young adult who thinks she is perfect and flaunts her power, perfect outfit. Evelynn is the most justified of all the female champions. Other than that, like I said, it's been since season 2. Meanwhile, every humanish male who has been released since like Braum has been oversexualized. Some champions like Lee and Varus whose splashes weren't that thirst baity were even retrofitted to be shirtless 6 pack dude bros. Sylas was in prison since he was a child but looks like John Cena for some reason. Rakan makes sense with his lore, but why does a shadow assassin like Kayn not wear clothes? Aphelios is like the only dude who isn't an animal or creature in the last 6 or 7 years who is actually wearing clothes. I get people will still say that male players get fan service and Riot oversexualizes all women because a lot of the older female champions still fit that model, but we're talking about a practice that was discontinued 8 years ago (minus Kai'sa, who received massive backlash for her shoddy narrative justification for looking like she does). However, Riot has been stretching justification for male sexualization for years and no one acknowledges it. Braum makes sense and was immensely popular both in and out of game, then they just decided to hit the ya yeet button and make every male champion like that forever whether it makes sense for their lore or not.
I disagree. I like Kaisa's design. Why can't she look hot. She's a young woman, who has a symbiotic suit. Looks fine to me.

: yeah dont want to hate on riot to much but nice to see a champ that fits a role, and fits it well with his strenghts and weaknesses. Unlike When Akali was reworked and was the most toxic champion since old kassadin, or {{champion:523}} , even Senna has his horrible design as she was meant to be a support but played more as a midlaner or just the adc.
I think Akali is interesting, she's just too sturdy for what she does. They need to make her a true glass cannon... or tone her damage down. She can't be that strong, with all the escapes/movement, and still have so much survivability. I agree however with the latest 2 champ designs... Senna and Aphelios' designs were failures in my opinion. Senna: I really like her ghost collecting mini-quest -- it's one of the things I like about thresh. Gathering for late game appeals to me a lot. Her W and E are interesting abilities. But her Q does way too much... heal+damage, pierces everything with no falloff, hits towers (???). And why does she have a global ult -- it doesn't even feel like it belongs on her. Her gun isnt that big. Aphelios... just too much. I get that they want a champ where you need to keep adapting your playstyle, but it ultimately fails when it boils down to the same thing as any other adc... dont let him sit back and attack, make sure you target him first. It's a shame they wasted chakrams on his kit. They could have created a champ just based on that idea alone. I don't hate them, but it felt like Riot was making every successive champ more "CRAZY", like some sort of "champ design power creep".

What an absolute joke. A team of computer engineers unable to code something as simple as a robust client. OK Don't even start with "small indy company", because a small team of undergrads could do it. Perhaps the problem is project management unable to properly coordinate their individual talent giving this end result of a spaghetti dinner.
: The irony of REPORT system and CHAT restriction.
You're flagged for the crime of typing too much. People get their fee fees hurt and report rather than muting. Yes this isn't strictly positive chat, but sadly this is considered punishable. Their rules so play by them. People with a temperament have to endure toxic behavior even if what you're saying is justified. It is unfortunate that a lot of toxic players soft int to throw the game while remaining silent in chat and avoid penalty

: Why is it so fucking hard to nerf Ekko?
Did you read patch notes. They think ekko is fine because he is "weak early in laning phase"
: Why is bronze actually hard to climb in?
If you're a low silver player currently in bronze, you may have a 50-60% winrate. You will climb, but it will be slowly -- W L L W L W L W W W L L W L There's a randomly generated sample at 60% winrate. A lot of losses there. I've seen it before, players blaming their teammates for sucking, but when you watch them play, they make a lot of positional errors, poor mechanics on their "main" champ, and don't understand when to coordinate for objectives -- all they see is "I was up 3 kills on my opponent, but my teammates lost the game 20 minutes later". If you want to climb out of bronze QUICKLY you need to be gold+. If you are a silver player, you will climb out of bronze after many games. If you are a true bronze player, you may climb out if you hit enough winstreaks together, but you may just as likely get unlucky and fall out. Most likely however, you'll sit at bronze -- as you should if that's your true rank. That's just the basics of any matchmaker. You mentioned a couple of things above: * "Every game I have to try so fking hard" >>> Trying hard does not equate to winning. Moreover, if you need to be playing at your absolute best, but still can't decisively win your lane and leverage your advantage to help your team, you're not above your rank. Not saying that to insult you. Some games (say I'm gold facing a gold or plat) I'll try my ass off on my main, and only go even, or even lose my lane hard. If plat players give me a fair challenge, I should certainly not think I'm guaranteed to climb to diamond just because I play a lot of games and try hard. * "Every game one guy snowballs like crazy" >>> This is how the game is built, you get fed, you snowball hard. It's always been this way even back in dota. The issue with low ranks is players are worse at coordinating and will likely just try and fight the fed person head on, making the problem worse. It doesn't mean necessarily they're smurfing or the matchmaker put a much higher ranked player there to make you lose to maintain 50-50. Sometimes you pick a scaling champ and take runes to scale for the late game monster dream, but your electrocute/scorch opponent already snowballed a lead by 15 min. They may be the same rank as you, but they started with an early advantage and made good on it. If you actually want to climb, focus on fixing your own play. League's in client ranked stats are decent to show you what you're doing well and what you're not. Use that as a start. My vision score used to be abysmal, so I made an effort to buy more pinks, and my games are much better for it. I can say when I face a real bronze player in a game (because of premade groups being matched vs one another), it is very noticeable -- they're always out of position, slow, wonky mechanics. That's not to say in a teamfight with their plat friends they can't contribute, but relatively speaking they have a lot to fix. There's a lot to it honestly... your previous game experience, natural ability, etc. You have to remember this game is now 10years old. The standard for each rank improves each year, so climbing is not guaranteed. Just be happy with your rank and focus on improving your flaws if climbing is a goal. Otherwise just have fun with it.
