: I honestlly cant count how many times monkeys made it into my game In some instances, (actually quite afew now that i think about it), when junglers forgot smite and came toplane instead to feed/int/leech whatever u want to call it, i remember myself getting tilted off the face of the earth. Eventually though, i realized something. Y am i mad This is fre3 experimenting time So at that point when my jg is now 0/4 or something i just roam and go yolo/ham And surprisingly, i won quite afew of those games. In a nutshell, dont tilt. Dont get mad. Muteall is a feature, and it works wonders when ur dealing with special case children. Even if they r probably 25 Above all, just have fun. Thats about the only reason i still play anyways.
Good advice sir. I used to play as you say you do but I forgot the way of having fun in games such as these. That is something I'll be keeping in mind from now on
tepsija6 (EUNE)
: well you just should not play shaco and end of the discusion
That, and working on just not talking to the obvious trolls, is the plan from now on. The community has certainly become extremely "soft toxic" now. It's not a real term, but it very accurately describes how people behave in league. It is obvious that a large portion of the community knows how to talk shit in ways that don't get detected by the new tribunal system. If I knew a computer was deciding the fate of my games then this would all have made so much more sense on why I am getting punished in these games. If a human were to read my chat logs it would be beyond apparent that my games have had people intentionally ruining the experience for myself and my other teammates. I just need to choose wiser words with how I express my thoughts(but I'm just not gonna talk to people outside my friend's list, unless they're cool and worthy and making it onto my friend's list).
: > This only works if no false reports are made. Once you factor in false reports, a system that assumes guilt would end up with a metric ton of false flags. How so? I may not be understanding what you mean by assumes guilt. If you make that statement and the rest of your chat falls doesn't meet whatever threshold of toxicity, then you wouldn't receive a penalty. If you make the statement and the rest of your chat meets the threshold, then you would be penalized. Just because a phrase is flagged as possibly toxic doesn't mean it's going to automatically be considered toxic, if that makes sense. > Humans are actually very good at detecting when people are being disingenuous. Versus AI and in person perhaps. Studies have shown people aren't any better at detecting lies than chance. There's also been a lot of studies on modern written communication and meaning being lost. This is a whole other discussion though lol. As to your examples, yeah they do seem sarcastic. Let's be real though, LoL is competitive and fairly toxic. We know people aren't going to be throwing out exuberant compliments to one another. I know nothing about AI really, but why can't the system be trained to recognize excessive positivity and look for other negative indicators that would be indicative of someone being toxic. Obviously this only works in the context of a game like League as opposed to the wider world. Back to the first example though, "wow you're so good. How are you still silver?" without context, you have to admit, this would be difficult on it's own to determine its meaning for a person. You or I would probably immediately assume it's meant in a negative way though. However, if it genuinely was the mid laner shocked the top laner survived a dive and got 2 kills off it, we would potentially be condemning someone. Don't get me wrong. I don't think the IFS is perfect or anything. I just see a bunch of complaints about it that typically have more to do with people being unsatisfied with Riots rules on chat/player behavior rather than actual problems with the system. Usually surrounding the issue of someone being toxic back to someone else being toxic first. Well the IFS can't see context and know the person was just 'defending' themselves. Which is ultimately irrelevant since Riot doesn't see toxicity as an excuse for toxicity.
If you want a prime example of how the IFS system is flawed then look into the problem streamers were having with wintraders. Humans, the streamers, could easily identify the people who were win-trading with extreme ease, but riot did nothing about it. If the streamers got mad and raged then they would get bans for flaming the win-traders. It went on for a long time
rujitra (NA)
: Usually this is because the streamers are being toxic to appeal to their viewer base and are mad the rules also apply to them.
So all the videos of high elo pro gamers dealing with win-trading is a problem with the streamer himself being toxic? They report these guys all day long and nothing was done about it. That doesn't seem accurate to what you just said

Riot will give you a message warning you.
A pop-up will appear in your client when your report successfully ends up getting someone reprimanded. Google it. I know because I report leavers and shit all the time and riot lets me know when the reports have effect.
: if you've been playing as long as you say you have you should know how the report system works. Riot has posted plenty of articles on the topic, and they have a dedicated page under support. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but honestly this entire thread is making you come off as entitled. You feel like your special because you're a veteran player. You think Riot should ALLOW you to talk to other players as you see fit. Now people on this post are giving you honest advice, yet you're calling them toxic. Just because the refuse to tell you you're right. You want to hear that your a special butterfly, and the rules don't apply to you. Well they do. Now if this is a 14 day ban I suggest you play the game on mute when you come back and work on your anger issues. If it's a perma ban you need to reflect on your actions so your other account isn't ban. Because when you say you'll just stop playing your main account, it shows that you learned nothing from this. You rather blame everyone else, and not reflect on what you could have done better. Keep doing what your doing and I promise you in due time your alt account will get a 14 day ban also.
I never go on here because I never had an issue with this in the ten years I've played. When I first started playing the disciplinary system was much different than it is today. Yes, many people gave honest advice and I have been cordial with the ones who choose to be cordial on their first posts; the majority have been very petty and I'm sorry you fail to recognize that. This post is directed for moderators because I had an issue with the ticket support system; it is not for everyone to throw random opinions about my life. Thank you for your opinions, but I have plenty of people on this thread agreeing with me. People that have been in the same position as myself and they gave honest advice on how I can work to get my account back. If you want to feel like I feel entitled that is on you. Anyone would try to work to keep something that they've had for as long as I've had this account. You people are like vultures swarming a negative situation. I asked for help; not chastisement. If you can quote me saying I don't care about my main account that would be great. I said I would've stopped playing on it if I knew it was about to be perma banned.

So you agree that you went out of your way to be negative on a post for no reason. You gained nothing from this. I actually have a purpose for my post; unlike your comments. I never said I don't deserve punishment. I am willing to do whatever they ask for my account back. Not sure why yall keep transgressing your pessimism onto me

No problem man I'm always happy to provide info for people that ask. I'm an arborist which is the most hazardous job in America; so sharing knowledge obviously has its value in my field of work. Google whatever question you have and it'll answer it. And I know, just seems like we're both not taking the convo serious at this point

It does, you just have to type in a special code for it. You can probably copy paste it straight from his name. If you need instructions on the basics of computers then using google search is an awesome way to learn things

You should clarify more, I didn't misunderstand anything. >It is beyond apparent for everyone by now that I am unaware of new rules and regulations. That is why I linked the post.
Yes, you did. It's okay though. The English language has moments where multiple ideas can be inferred from the same sentence. My question still applies to the aspect that I presented it. I asked why its next to your name. Not why it gets attached to "A" name(which is the question you think I asked). The quote you linked is irrelevant to both of our understandings of the English language and how grammar works.

: I don't understand how you haven't learned to /mute all. You say you've gotten punished before. You clearly did no research or effort to improve. Smart pings are there for people like you, who flame. After reading your responses to all of the members here trying to explain and/or describe to you what you are doing wrong, I can clearly read passive aggressive attitude and an outright blatant disrespect for your fellow summoners. I doesn't matter what people say to erk you. It matters that you respond in a nontoxic fashion. As I said, you only need to mute and Smart Ping.
I said I got banned twice seven+ years ago when I was 16 years old. I really don't think that qualifies as me "not learning from my mistakes" lmao There is outright blatant disrespect being thrown at me from 90% of the members here, including you. So I'll give you the same advice I gave others. If you want to bash someone for being negative then you should try and avoid being a negative nancy yourself(which you are) You are not here to help me just like the majority of the people here haven't been. You just want to throw shade on someone in a situation you know they're upset about. You wouldn't have the gall to act like this to anyone outside of the interweb. I posted this in hope of a MODERATOR answering because if you actually read what I've said you would see I've been trying to figure out how to bring this to the attention of Riot but the ticket keeps logging me out.

Seems to me if I'm with a duo who wants me reported, and they convince a 3rd person to report me, I'm gonna get banned no matter what. Seems like the community is taking advantage of the reporting system. I'm not a Rioter, just saying. Mass-reporting does nothing to increase the likelihood of reports being administered. It only takes one report to trigger a game for automatic review. As far as we know, group-reporting does nothing and even if it did, it wouldn't apply to premades because they could indirectly control the game. Alright so its quite unlikely I will get my account back. The only footing I have to work with is the fact that I was under the impression the penalty system was not changed to be so severe. Yeah I'll agree to that in a reactionary way(I actually did in the original post). I've been playing shaco in gold elo and my teammates are very toxic about the fact that I enjoy playing shaco. I have a 68% winrate and I still receive an insane amount of unwanted shit-talking from my teammates; the enemy team is always chill. Which kinda proves thats its an issue with racism towards clowns

Very few people have tried to offer advice and even fewer do it without passive aggression that you say I'm displaying as well. I've tried doing a ticket, the website logs me out whenever I go to file one. It's weird

: No. Nothing has changed in the system, in reality since it was built from Tribunal. And the new system is just as accurate as the Tribunal system was that used real humans.
It seems vastly different to me since the days of the tribunal. Is there a much higher percentage of people reporting games nowadays? Something has changed. Otherwise, pro gamers wouldn't complain in their streams about issues with the reporting system.
: Number of reports don't matter. One report triggers the IFS. "Defending" oneself with toxicity is still toxicity. You don't get notification every time your report triggers a punishment. Getting a notification is the exception not the rule. Honestly, there's not much about the punishment system that you seem to understand correctly.
I've played for ten years and the restrictions used to be different. That's why I asked the specialists if the standards to reporting have changed? you okay??? Do you need a hug????

You clearly didn’t read past the comparison I made because I clearly explained to you that toxic players, regardless of the order of offense, DO get punished. It may take longer than you would like but I assure you they do get their just deserts. Perhaps if you had changed your ways earlier you wouldn’t have put yourself in such a predicament. I’m sorry you were banned but consistent violations of the rules leads to it.
Yes, I do know when my reports have an effect. riot lets you know when your reports have influence buddy. Anyways. Yeah, man, I started playing in a time where the reporting system is extremely taken advantage of. It's my bad I started playing during such a state of toxicity. I don't deny that. Many pro streamers have openly talked about how the reporting system is complete trash. So I had an idea of how bad the community might be right now; I just didn't think it was as bad as they explained. Both parties should be banned instead of just the person reacting. I'm not saying I was a saint but I haven't changed my attitude with how I play this game and I never got banned in the past, at most I got chat restricted. How is it not logical? If a cop pulls you over because you were racing another car you can’t say “what about the other guy.” The world doesn’t care if you followed the actions of another if you were the one who got caught. The same rule applies to League with one big exception: ALL toxic parties will receive punishment if Rules were actually broken. It may take awhile, sometimes you don’t receive a notification, but punishment WILL be metted out. Finger pointing AFTER you were caught breaking a rule shows a lack of accountability, another thing very few people will approve of. You say you were never banned in the past, which may have been true, but eachchat restriction causes you to move further and further up the punishment ladder. It was only a matter of time before your frequent restrictions turned into bans, which should have been a wake-up-call that you needed to change whatever t was you were doing.
That is not a good example. The cop(league) has both of us pulled over in this situation and is choosing only to focus on me. I did change my actions. I started reporting the kids that would obviously report me and I tried to play the game as much as possible without talking. The final straw was the fact I refuse to gank for someone who wouldn't leash for me as graves. The enemy team got on his side and I got 4 reports in one game. He was very hateful in team chat, telling me I need to go die many times! and he pretended to be a nice guy with hurt feelings in all chat! It was manipulative, dirty, and completely unfair.

: yea im like one report froma permaban as well, from yelling at trolls and often stuff like following me around and staling my jungle camp, or they have 1 or 2 friends on in the same 'clan' . the real slap in the face is to log in after 2 week ban and see a thank you and instant feedback report for reporting bad behavior. A lot of mine was, I had never played ranked before, and I didnt know what preseason was like. its a nightmare. And Ifeel if I say something people are either intentionally throwing/feeding/trolling or... they dont know stuff. Unfortunately 90% of the time the first person to type more than 2-5 letters in chat looses. people also perceive even the slightest bit of lengthy communication as toxic and negative. I have 100% literally told a person 'Hey good job in top lane' and another guy, I wasnt talking to, said I was being negative? Or I just played a game where bot lane were talking about communication, abilities, what to do etc... strategy. And I told them as a jungle it was very hard to read them... are we ganking? Contesting drake? Am I just holding lane? and the top said I was... being negative.... This is a lane that was already aware they had a disconnect and wanted to formulate a plan. I kept dying going bot, and yes I attributed it to that. I wasnt even being negative or nasty. I think its probably best to TRY and say stuff in a possitive but afermative way like 'If you ward, it will help me, help you!' 'I cant come help kill top because its teemo and we need an oracles to sweep those shrooms' 'I am on my way, id like to do drake if a gank is not possible or fails' But people dont want to read more than text typing... of 1 word and decie anythign else that hurts their focus, is toxic..... seriously its bad. They then home in on your ass and get you reported, or worse, gang reported. Or you are not doing anything and like 3 of them just say 'Jungle sucks, report jungle' and there you do, 3 reports. They say being 'tilt proof' is a key element of the game. I was unaware this was a psychological stress test, I thought this was a game, for fun but to be played somewhat seriously as it has a competitive nature.
You are 100% correct and I feel foolish for not thinking the same way you decided to change your ways to. Back in preseason 5 I was deadset on getting into Platinum so I would one trick pony leblanc mid; and I was hard-stuck at gold 1-2. I got into platinum eventually because I realized being a positive team leader helps you win a solid 10-15% more of your games. I got into plat by being a psychologist for my teammates lmao. I needed to let my tower die to gank top because he was mad the jungler wouldn't gank for him, for example. All kinds of selfless motives got me into plat.

: They aren't going to unban you because then they'd have to unban everyone you're not special it's impossible for that to be your 1st ban, so you've had a 14 day ban before. And on that report card it clearly said that the next ban will be a permanent ban And how do you know that the other people didn't get banned? *cough* it isn't possible for you to have had honor lvl for YEARS because the current honor system has been here for only few years
Because after I started to get reported and banned on a very regular basis I started reporting the toxic people in hopes that maybe it would level the playing field. : No matter how long you play or how much money you spend, you're still subject to the same rules as everyone else. If you went up the punishment ladder (10 game chat restriction, 25 game chat restriction, 14-day gameplay ban, permanent suspension) and didn't reform along the way, Riot won't be overturning your punishment. Sorry. You can file a support ticket if you think it was made in error, otherwise that ban is indefinite.
I play and talk the same way I have been for the entire ten years I have played. Has something changed in your reporting system that makes infractions much easier to break? Seems to me if I'm with a duo who wants me reported, and they convince a 3rd person to report me, I'm gonna get banned no matter what. Seems like the community is taking advantage of the reporting system.
: Money spent does not equate to being free from the rules that are in place. You have to realize that trolls and toxic players have figured out how to get under people’s skin. Don’t become another statistic, ignore the trolls/toxic players, mute them ingame and report their behavior. The moment you stoop to their level and get into a shouting match they have won. I cannot stress this point enough- don’t retaliate against instigators and you won’t find yourself on the wrong end of a report. It’s a twisted tactic for sure but you must be smarter than the trolls and don’t let them make YOU into the toxic player.
This is very unlogical and Riot will keep losing players that want to take the game seriously if that is how they decide to handle issues. Both parties should be banned instead of just the person reacting. I'm not saying I was a saint but I haven't changed my attitude with how I play this game and I never got banned in the past, at most I got chat restricted.

: Exactly, there is almost no justice in this system at the moment when it comes to lobby pick/ban time, and innocent people are basically forced to lose LP because of some scumbags while they suffer no punishment for the disorder they comitted
I literally just lost my original account I created in Beta because of trolls banning together and reporting me. Makes me really want to play this game =)
