Yes, you must link a phone number. Yes, you can switch accounts every 6 months. But you can still be smurfing. They are separate things. Fair enough. As I said, I don't play Clash, so I haven't paid as mich attention as I probably should. Yeah, it's an issue, but look at it this way: those players won't have the Clash rewards to show off on their main accounts and, from what I've seen, players often treat their smurfs as throwaways. So, odds are, they'll get banned or honor dropped on the smurf, too.

: 3rd time in season 9 im seing this screen
I haven't seen any posts one way or the other, but maybe it gives the passive gain without any of the boosts for receiving honor or everyone honoring.

I didn't try to play clash, so I'm not sure what the process was, but didn't the last 2 tests require linking a phone number? Somehow I thought I read that the phone number had to be linked to a single account and there was a 'cooldown' period if the player wanted to switch accounts for clash.
: how long does it take to see results on a report?
The feedback on reports is deliberately irregular due to trophy hunters. As far as the still playing part, if he got a chat restriction, you won't see a break in play. My advice, don't worry so much about what other people are doing.
: My response to when people ban Senna
I actually managed to wreck a Senna in toplane yesterday with Teemo. Yeah, the range is a pain, but her auto attacks are slow, abilities dodgeable and DoT seemed to counter her healing. And Blind helped with screwing up her passive stacking. One of my personal best Teemo games ever
: Your post is incredibly hard to follow, and I feel like it's a troll job, but I'll respond as if it isnt. What class action lawsuit are you talking about? As far as I know they have never been successfully sued for taking (or not taking) in game actions. There has been some issues with in Riot the company, but that had nothing to do with in ga me punishments. Also, from your chat log, it appears you attacked your jungler in chat for not ganking your lane and getting what you considered a free kill. After about five lines of toxicity, it appears the jungler responded in kind, and you immediate cry sexism. However, by all means sue Riot for getting a chat restriction. I am sure it will be an enlightening experience.

I am sure it will be an enlightening experience. From what I heard, the lawsuit was over *internal* harrassment issues, not in game. @OP As far as in game, though, no one knows who you are and, quite frankly no one cares. What people care about is people trying to use identity to get other people in trouble. Someone offended you? Fine. Mute them so you don't have to put up with it any more and report them so other people don't have to. There are people who will say or do things for the sole purpose of baiting others into ban-worthy behavior. You have a choice to ignore them or join them. Guess which one gets banned?
Ephensta (NA)
: Carry In-Game mutes over to post-game chat (or add the option to do so in the client settings)
I haven't done it in years, but try typing /Ignore playername. It used to put them on your block list but, I don't know if that feature has been removed.
: Reported for language... there is a default language filter
If you're in a premade and want to insult each other, fine. Just remember that if there are *any* randoms on your team, they may not realize you aren't serious and report you. Your safest option would be a private Discord server or Skype call.

You had to either file a support ticket or make enough noise on the forum to get a Rioter's attention
: Its because Riot pushed the punishement system into too much severity, that many people who got permabanned are looking for easy convenient way to come back to the game without grinding hours to get to level 30. And there are sellers who realize there are a huge demand for level 30 accounts so they are flooding the market with botted accounts. Which explains why there are so many bots in Coop Ai and Aram games. Riot's statistics of 0.006 permabanned players is a lie .

It's not just Coop games. I had a blind pick where I was the only human player vs 4 humans and a bot with the next game being 3v3.

: So, question, is going AFK still bannable?
LeaverBuster works on a separate system from behavior reports. You won't ever see an instant feedback for reporting a leave. There's some leeway built in to account for unexpected RL issues. Someone who leaves regularly will be placed in a low priority queue, not the behavior penalty track.
: warding is supposed to be the TEAMs job, not just limited to the support. Kinda like the jungler who never leaves jungle then says "its not my job to gank your lane or help with towers" those are everyones responsibilities, taking down towers and helping lanes is not limited to just ONE role.
> [{quoted}](name=Freaktory,realm=NA,application-id=ZGEFLEUQ,discussion-id=bUL7TmQP,comment-id=00000000,timestamp=2019-11-25T14:06:22.930+0000) > > warding is supposed to be the TEAMs job, not just limited to the support. > Kinda like the jungler who never leaves jungle then says "its not my job to gank your lane or help with towers" those are everyones responsibilities, taking down towers and helping lanes is not limited to just ONE role. I'm aware it's the team's job to help ward. But if I can regularly hit a vision score of 10-20 with just a trinket, it's really frustrating to see a score of 3-7 with a fully upgraded ward item.
: Remove Penalties for Leaving a Game in Champ Select
They tried that several years ago. They removed LP penalties and increased the dodge timer. Dodges increased, and some players at the top--who needed the practice time--were spent more time waiting for games than actually playing. Even in people in the middle who never dodged saw longer waits due to all the dodges.
Ada Wong (NA)
: Won't be buying support items
At the very least, either keep the gold bonuses through the game or remove the CS penalty when the second quest is completed. At that point, the game has advanced enough that a support taking a few CS isn't that big a deal--especially if they're the only one facing a large wave.
Ada Wong (NA)
: Won't be buying support items
The new support items are bad enough, I probably wouldn't rage over someone not buying it. It's people who get the item but never ward that annoy me.

: No one is questioning the way things are, veterans of the game all know exactly how things go when new champs come out. All I'm asking is why is it this way and is it possible that there is a better solution to make things less hostile and toxic for everyone in a game where you're forced to cooperate with random strangers if you want to win.

All I'm asking is why is it this way and is it possible that there is a better solution to make things less hostile and toxic for everyone in a game where you're forced to cooperate with random strangers if you want to win. It's an attitude problem with those players. Most aren't as good as they think they are and look for reasons to blame the people around them. That includes teammates picking 'bad' champions. What, exactly, do expect Riot to do about attitudes like that they aren't already doing?
: Not allowed to choose the champs I want to play, why?
A lot of people don't trust new releases and reworks. It's like that pretty much every time. After that, the champion gets patched and players who like the champion have a better idea what they're doing, and the champion loses the Shiny-New factor for everyone else. Once the champion cycles through their first free week, things usually settle down.
: THERE ABSOLUTELY SHOULD BE A "GRACE" PERIOD TO GET HONOR UP FOR SEASON REWARDS!!!!!
They only allowed the extension last year because of timing. They announced the Honor requirement late in the season, after many of those players thought they were already clear under the older rules. Technically, Riot didn't need to offer the extension last year, either, but they chose to. There were no rule changes this year, so there should be no excuse.
: Adopt a credit grading system to player behavior
1. Adding Honor or behavior to the matchmaking system would create a Prisonor's Island scenario. It would also cause queue times to skyrocket due to the additional factor. 2. Ranked rewards are already tied to honor. If you can't at least least maintain neutral standing (H2) you don't get the end of season rewards. 3. Honor is meant to be a full-season rise. It's meant to reward consistant behavior. It shouldn't need a number or progress bar to be a decent human being. Personally, I think a good reward for Honir orbs would be Players' Choice skin shards. They would be a single use rental of any availaible skin. It cannot be used to gain a permanent skin (either as part of a reroll or by using Orange Essense) and cannot be disenchanted. I think it would be a significant reward, without turning into an achievement a player can gain and drop the behavior after.
: When you are giving me the chat log for restriction, write all of it so ther is context.
Back when Tribunal was still in effect, they started out with full logs. When they switched to only the reported players' logs, there was no noticeable difference in what got punshed. So no. Including full logs wouldn't matter
: How Leaving One game Destroyed my week
If there's a chance you might get interrupted, you might think about playing TFT, instead. You can surrender after Krugs and, even if you just leave, no one will really care.
: Add additional report reasons to state in the post game report module
They used to have Unskilled as a report reason. All it did was help fine tune matchmaking, but players freaked out over thinking they would be banned for not being "good enough". Once Riot was confident enough in their system, they removed Unskilled from the report options.

It's just so unfair that they made an exception for People last year but not this year... The previous extension was due to Riot making changes to the system midway through the season. They felt it wasn't fair to players who were used to the previous system and were expecting rewards if they had no punishments after a cutoff date. There were no changes this year. They announced the requirements multiple times. Volunteers and regulars on the Boards have repeated the info in multiple thread. TBH, the extension last year surprised everyone, including long-time regulars.

: How do you get honor back if everyone skips honors after a match ends?
There is some passive honor gain, but I would also suggest trying to find some reason to give honor. If everyone gives honor, there's a small team bonus. And, as an additional bonus, if you look to honor teammates, I think you'll find the game becoming a little less toxic.

Punishments from the bot will **always** link a game or chat logs. This was a manually issued punishment for severe toxicity outside the normal course of punishments. Maybe, but Riot will release account data including chat logs if requested. It just takes a month before you get them back.
: qiyana new skin angry rant
Are you also going to complain about all the Yordles who get different fur color/patterns? About Warwick portrayed as a completely different species? Tryndomere looking darker in the Sultan skin? It's a FICTIONAL character from a FICTIONAL culture. If you don't like it, don't buy the skin.
: Is refusing to listen to teams and constantly dying the same way 12 times reportable?
People develop habits and patterns. If the meta shifts or they face unfamiliar conditions, they fall back on what they do know. Sometimes, it's exactly the wrong thing to do but, under stress from constant failure and criticism from teammates, they continue to react with the same patterns.
: What is your least favorite skin in League?
Default Urgot. I hated the original version, and the 'update' looks worse. Only skin I willingly use on him is Battlecast Updated Kayle. New version just looks awful and is hard to read on the map. Actually, I don't like a lot of the updates, because so many of the minimap icons look too similar.
: How is disabling allied chat not considered "Refusing to Communicate"?
I remember a few Red posts saying they didn't punish for refusing to communicate when it was still an option. IIRC, they removed it because 1. Alternate communications. Premades would use voice chat, which would mean nothing in the chatlogs. 2. Muting. If a player muted their team, they wouldn't even know there was anything they needed to respond to. 3. The quiet players. Some people just don't talk in chat. 4. Once they moved from bans to chat restrictions, punishing for not communication would have double punished people.

: Stop queueing me with people I reported last game
Tribunal, as it was, wouldn't work. It had gotten backed up so badly, people were getting punished for things they had said/done months earlier. Eventually, it reached the point it wasn't even building cases anymore. If they were to add a new version, the only way I could see it working would be as an audit check. Instead of issuing penalties, it would be used to gauge problematic behavior when the input is mot emotionally charged from bad games. I know the current system adjusts according to what gets reported, but the reports themselves seem like they could become slanted due to salt and revenge reporting.
: The toxicity in this game is so high it's like secondary entertainment
My guess is it's people stressing about not reaching whatever rank they think they should be in.

: My top laner just left his 17th game in 30 days. Does leaverbuster even work?
The first versions of LB did have suspension penalties. 1-, 3-, 7-, and 14-day bans IIRC. I think some extreme cases were manually reviewed and issued permas. They ended that and moved to low priority queues due to players just moving over to alt accounts and repeating the cycle.
: But... there is no reason for me to be flagged for leaver buster...

If you left games or went afk before you stopped playing, the penalty would be paused until you started playing again. It's handled that way because way back when they used time bans for leaving, players would just rotate alt accounts until the ban ended. Since the only way to get rid of a leaver penalty now is by playing through the low priority games, it doesn't matter how long it's been. If you don't play, the penalty won't disappear until you do.
: Low Priority Que Bug?
If you leave games or go afk, you'll get low priority queu. The only way to get rid of it is to play out the 5 games without leaving. Taking a break from game won't do anything, and the penalty will still be waiting for you when you come back.
