> We embarked on this journey because we saw a bunch of long-time Ranked players had started to burn out. Then address the actual issues instead of working on BS that doesn't matter. I'm sick and tired of you guys balancing the game for the pros and ruining it for the other 99%. You literally said a few months ago that you wouldn't bother to make Azir, Ryze and Kalista playable on solo Q anymore, which was such a slap in the face for fans of those champions. I myself haven't been able to play my favorite champion, {{champion:150}} in 2 seasons because of how hard you've trashed him. It's fucked up that I can't play the champion I enjoy the most without feeling like I'm crippling myself for no reason and the moment I gave up on him I climbed all the way up to Plat 3. Why do I have to give up my favorite champion just so that Marin can play him in a Worlds stage? Especially when I don't care about competitive because it's boring as fuck to watch, with the same handful of champions and the same few strategies repeated over and over and over again that you've never been able to fix and you never will. I remember a few seasons ago when both Yasuo and Gnar abused Frozen Mallet. Your solution was to alter Yasuo's kit so he was forced to build crit, and he continued to be a ubiquitous solo Q pick. But instead of doing something similar to fix Gnar's abuse of the item, you just kept repeatedly nerfing and nerfing and nerfing him some more, until the present when he's sitting at 46% WR and I can't even bring myself to hover him. I find this different treatment seriously inexplicable. Was it really that hard to make Frozen Mallet melee only so he could be balanced accordingly without an item that broke him? It's not like there was any other ranged champion that built the stupid item at the time, since Urgot hadn't been reworked yet at the time. That's what's burning out your long time ranked players: your careless disregard for your own champions. It feels like you've been pissing on my shoe and blaming it on the rain for years and I've had enough. I know you won't read through this message, and even if you do and you reply you won't do shit to fix any of the actual issues, because you never do. I worry that the changes to minion gold change will meaningfully impact the midgame when people aren't staying in their lanes 24/7 and melees and casters will be worth comparatively little. Losing even a single cannon because it died along the way to minion aggro or something will greatly diminish the gold you get per wave :s

: Gnar - hitting the Q to reduce his safe contributions, both later in laning phase and beyond. E buff to reward more aggressive uses of it over disengage. Frozen Mallet - was a topic of a lot of debate internally, hence it getting pulled from the PBE earlier this week when we were considering doing larger work on it instead of just a ranged nerf. We will be nerfing it in 8.4 still (ranged slow dropping to 20%) and might or might not revisit it in general.
Please just make Frozen Mallet melee only, how can you not see that item is the only reason Gnar keeps getting nerfed over and over and over and over and over again?! I asked you countless times to explain why the item is still in that state when all it accomplishes is removing one champion from the game and absolutely nothing else and you ignore me every time. Do you really not care about Gnar at all that you would rather keep a toxic item noone builds in the game instead of fixing him and letting his players rot?

While I think reducing the %slow for ranged is a step in the right direction, I wonder why not take it a step further and make the item melee only? That would allow you to finally balance the two of them independently and remove their toxic interaction

Why remove the Catalyst passive from GLP? This is makes me sad that mages that used to rush it like my main {{champion:136}} will be a lot squishier now. However, a lot of the other changes are very very good for him (Spellbound Orb and Liandrys look very OwO for him), so I think it's a worthy tradeoff all things considered

: Early AA range is one we'll look at at least, given at present he's often able to farm/harass just slightly out of threat range of a number of abilities which makes him pretty safe. Not currently looking at Aery.
Gnar already has the second lowest range of any ranged champion, second only to Urgot who gets a shitton more tankiness for only 50 range less. What will even be the point of picking Gnar over Urgot if this goes through when Urgot does way more damage and is way more tanky for barely any tradeoff?

Gnar is sitting at a 48% winrate, why on Earth is he getting nerfs? You want him to have more exploitable weaknesses? Then make Frozen Mallet melee only so he no longer builds it. The only reason Gnar feels bad to play against is because he has access to an item that gives him a permaslow IN ADDITION to all the kiting tools he already has (boomerang slow, hop and speed up on Hyper proc). **He should not have access to a permaslow**. As a Gnar main, I've been advocating for this change for multiple seasons now, and it's so frustrating watching Riot nerf an already struggling champion because you refuse to address the real issue Please Meddler, I implore you answer me: what makes Frozen Mallet so valuable to keep in the game in its current state? Almost noone builds the item, and the few champions who do get nerfed into the ground or changed to have their synergy with the item removed, like Yasuo did

In which tier does Teemo fall? I think it's a little sad that such an iconic champion, that's in a way kind of League's mascot, is relegated to meme status only. Pretty much only dedicated mains play him, and every other time he's hovered it's either as a joke or as a trolling attempt. I can't think of many champion selects where him getting hovered wasn't followed by a "no pls" from someone else in the team
: A lot of Marksmen lack CC, but they make up for it with range and sometimes mobility. There is one Melee champion beyond Mordekaiser who lacks crowd control though. And that is Master Yi.

: :c This is a hard answer to give because I totally love having Aery around too. In the past, she showed up all the time and was given equal "visual weight" in all of her states - her ready state, the active and the cooldown state (where she travels back to you and actually needs the most player attention). Unfortunately, we found in testing that this made it really hard to tell all of those states apart. We want to give each rune the appropriate amount of gameplay visibility and even though having Aery float around all the time is satisfying (because I love herrrrr) it's actually not great for clarity - if she's around all the time in ready/active/cooldown it actually makes it harder to tell which state she's actually in for everyone who needs to play around that info. Adding to the problem, she also has more states than similar keystones like Comet. Thus, we made the call to have her be present for her most important states that need play for them (active/coming home) and to act more like a buff for her ready state (which she kinda is because she is a rune, after all). We've found that this change makes her significantly easier to track and play around for both enemies and owners. PS I like to think that when Aery goes away she's actually returning into your heart though, where she came from. 💕
Actually, I find it harder to tell if I have Aery with me or if she's somewhere else in a cluttered teamfight if I can't see her at my side

I have a couple Summon: Aery questions: I've been using Aery on short-range champions that can send her out often such as Urgot, even though they have no way of activating the ally shield so they only have access to the damage part. Is this an intended use case or am I breaking the game? I love Aery's Homeguards and back animations, they feel like a great touch! But is there any particular reason why Aery doesn't follow you aroumd when walking around normally like comet does? Is Aery male of female? I love my wittle squiwwel companion, it's the best thing in League since the Devourer wolf got removed :'(

"Runes that you'd always want to take" I feel Gathering Storm is way too strong. The amoubt of AD and AP it grants for free if a game goes late is huge. Personally, I find my games pass the 30 minute mark more often than they don't, which makes taking that rune almost compulsory if I want to stay competitive

I bought the 7 rune-page bundle twice, will that count as 6300 IP per page or will it be counted as 6300 per transaction? Also, I bought 18 rune pages total with RP. Will I get 4 or 5 epic skins because of that? Asking because it's rounded up, but 18 is exactly the middle point between 16 and 20
