: the amount of new players is feeble, so no
Excuse you Ki, I've only played for a month.

: Mine was for a while and then I got a new update and it went away. Searched for a half hour to find the setting and just wanted to share what I've learned. {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}}
It took me a WEEK to figure out the Enemy Has Wards Here ping was really called Alert ping or something because nobody, even teammates, would tell me what it was called in settings.
: Actually, Taliyah is more about control, but she can slow burst you down if you get cocky with her. {{champion:163}}
Taliyah ult can knock people up. I would count that as a combat ult.
: The reason for that is that AD is the intended stat to take down tanks, whereas AP is largely used as a burst stat. There are a few outliers of course, like Cass and Ryze, but they are the exception, not the rule. This means that your health plays double duty as defense against AP, as it's just dropped as a lump sum with cooldowns.
I'm shocked that Riot allows Moderator posts to be below a rating threshold.

: For everyone that's not aware, you can toggle your fps and ping to show by pushing control+F. Be sure to hold control first or you will flash and everyone will spam ping you. Source: lvl 1 ryze without flash.
The ping/FPS was enabled for me by default when I started playing, but thank you!
: Probably, but why would I even bother doing this? It might sound like an asshole thing to say, but I already have enough of this shit around me, so why would I spend time on it when I can spend it on people who actually deserve it.
Oh, I don't know, maybe because you were a newbie once too! Given your name, I suppose you think you just skipped over that stage entirely and went straight to awesomeness? You can add them after, answer their question(s) quickly, and then immediately defriend them if you so choose (although I probably wouldn't unless the person had REALLY annoyed me somehow, which is quite improbable).
: I honestly love reading the Chat with these people in it. Its so entertaining to see someone make such a huge fool of himself just for the sake of being a fool. Of course, it doesnt mean i dont find them annoying or sometimes toxic aswell, but its still cheap entertainment.

I misconstrued this line as meaning you found sadistic enjoyment in watching uninformed people say/ask "But I thought I was supposed to do such and such? What do I do instead?" and ignoring them. My bad. Still, most people I come across ignore questions like that.

: I understand why my mindset would make you uncomfortable, but I don't think it's mutually exclusive with being a caring person. People tilt themselves over having bad/dumb teammates, or people that they *interpret* as being bad/dumb teammates. While making a comment or two to suggest how they might change their strategy mid-game can work, taking it upon yourself to "educate" your teammates has a terrible rate of success, from what I've seen. It can even start a fight. I believe that the healthiest way to play this game is to start by keeping yourself happy. There's enough stress in League from worrying about one's own performance, so taking on responsibility for others' is a losing proposition. Your teammates' skill levels are cemented when you queue up with them, so focus on yourself and take the good with the bad.
I had mentioned in my above comment that I said "friend them after the game and start a conversation for like five minutes max, telling them what their mistakes were and (if you feel so inclined) gently offering corrections. Of course I didn't mean try to educate them in game. If they ask a SPECIFIC question in chat about what item they should buy as last item or whether or not they should max Skill A or Skill B versus someone, then I would answer THAT kind of a question in-game (but most people do not and it maddens me because I'm usually the person asking said specific question).
: yeah he'll definitely will get whats coming to him. but its only actually norms, so I doubt most of the people hes playing with would actually care. what rank is he though? the reason I ask is because I have a friend irl, and she insists on only buying rabadons deathcap, until I told her the effects of unique passives don't stack, but insists on doing it anyway. ironically enough, shes silver 1, which hurts my soul.
Every time I am ahead enough to buy rabadon's deathcap (which is RARE), the game is ending before I can completely finish it. :/
: Nah it's about how you committed a cardinal sin of rhetoric and you ought to acknowledge it. You just so happen to frequently use the label of "fanboy" to dismiss people for disagreeing with you about Riot's decisions. You use comments like your first one here to establish the idea that "fanboys" are hypocrites who hide from the truth. Here you attempted to misrepresent these "fanboys" in order to demean and dismiss their points of view. It is a character assassination of anyone who - and their argument that - defends Riot on any subject. Left unchecked, this would allow you to falsely establish the use of that label as a semi-credible way of dismissing people who disagree with you about Riot. There are plenty of valid reasons to take issue with Riot, but the ones you prefer to take are not among those. And you crossed a very important line in misusing rhetoric to support the idea that being a "fanboy" somehow makes somebody's opinions about Riot's decisions invalid.
@HalcyonDweller : I respectfully request that you try to substitute the word "language" or a simpler synonym for "rhetoric" on a gaming forum where a lot of people might not have ever heard the term "rhetoric." While I know what it means, it is a fairly unused word in most online communities. Thank you for trying to educate the masses, but sometimes you have to pick your battles. Making people crack open a dictionary when all you want to do is make a SIMPLE point to a person with a seemingly lesser vocabulary seems slightly counterproductive. (Sorry Pho3nix, no offense and not judging! I was just making a generic example.)
: Look man, in my original post, I just said Rito fanboys, then you came here butthurt, asking for an apology. If you think you are a Rito fanboy, that's not my fault. If you are not one, then this post is not about you. I really don't understand what do you even want from me... Or you just like being offended? xD Is this some kind of 'muricin SJW bullshit here?

I think what Halcyon is trying to ask you is that you stop calling everyone who disagrees with you a fanboy/girl of the opposite side. I'm pretty sure that's all he wants from you. For both our benefits, here's the official definition of generalization (which is similar to stereotyping and can be just as bad). http://www.dictionary.com/browse/generalization?s=t
: I'm a riot fanboy ;_;
I got completely stomped recently by a Riot 2o2 playing Teemo top. He was super passive-aggressive, flashing emotes, mastery, and everything under the sun at my entire team. I am NOT the biggest fan of Riot right now, although he is the only Riot employee I've ever seen so far.
: Expect quicker punishments? This is wrong.
Please don't just say something is wrong and then not proceed to explain why it's wrong. Otherwise I have no idea how to view that from another perspective (partially my fault).
: I have come across someone who's been trolling for a week straight
Wellp, I guess I should be banned for sucking in normals then because my overall K/D/A is WAY worse than that Shaco/Ahri person's and I'm a freaking tryhard. http://na.op.gg/summoner/champions/userName=AllyK8e

If somebody's making an effort to ASK about a certain game mechanic or "what's the plan to win?" or what they should do next, why would you not answer it? They're on your team. Don't be a dick.

: You ignore them and leave them to suffer. You had to put up with their stupidity for 15-45 minutes, and lost a game over it. They'll have to put up with their stupidity for the rest of their life. They'll dig a far deeper grave on their own than anything you can throw at them via in-game chat.
I don't like your mindset. If someone is merely confused and/or just bad at logic (or the game), they're probably defensive because you're approaching them wrong. Add them after the game, attempt to teach them what they did wrong in like no more than five minutes. If they are still belligerent, then you can always defriend them knowing that you at least tried. "Just ignore them" goes against every Samaritan bone in my body.
: Every now and then you will meet people like this. Not only in League, you will meet them everywhere. You cannot help them, you have to learn to deal with them. In game they are bearable, 40 minutes and you go on with you life. And be happy they are not your close relatives, or in-laws or any other people you need to deal with on a regular bases. Then it is much worse, and yes, I talk from experience
You should try friend requesting the next person you meet in-game who doesn't understand something. You might be surprised by how touched and receptive the other person will be when it's in a post-game setting and all the peer pressure stress goes out the window.

: dont you love the kind of people that have no logic at all?
If I ever lag, I just ping my ping in top right corner. Also, have you considered playing Shen? He could help out that feeding mid laner a lot better than a Quinn can. Either way, both champions should probably roam mid at least once some point during the first ten minutes of the game? Lastly, I for one got a C- in an intro to logic class. Logic in its base form is hard for some people, myself included.

: Winter Clan now recruiting
1998? Good Lord, sounds like you already have plenty of people. Why are you recruiting then? Your old guard all left? (I don't mean to sound snarky. Just asking out of idle curiosity.)

: I got Aether Wing Kayle. Big whoop. I'd have preferred a champion that actually looks cool, or at least a gemstone that I could've turned into a chest and key for hopeful champion shards.
IDK how you think champions are easy to unlock. The more expensive ones are a pain in the butt to earn.
: Champions are easily gotten when you level up. Better to roll for a skin shard instead :D

: Tristana has had her self-peel for 9 years
Whenever I've used Tristana's jump, it seems like practically every champion in the game has a way of canceling it instantly. Not sure why this thread exists unless you're asking to reduce the number of ways it can be cancelled.

: Cactopus, a public declaration of vendetta against you.
This is beautiful. Even more so if the IRL part is actually true. I hope things improve for you sir. You have a career as an author.
: Why are girls so great at the support role?
Why do guys think they're better at ADC than girls, hm? Maybe we want to ADC sometimes. Maybe it gets tiresome watching you drop Draven axes. Maybe it really rankles us how you stand right behind us and make inappropriate action spams. Maybe we're a bit sick of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MOavH-Eivw
