I think you two missed the part where OP said "If you put Kennen in a cage with Darius." He than suggested changing the lane dynamics at top to set it up to feel more like a cage match. How about instead of increasing turret ranges, they moved the turrets to be in line with the curve of the lane and bushes.

If tier 3 was reimplemented, I would like see it as being able to have them adopt some of the features of a different pair of boots. Ex. I build into ninja tabi, later I decide that I need more mr. So I adopt merc treads stats. Possibly a weaker version of merc treads passive. Though it would probably be better if the passive did not get applied. But than how would boots of mobility be usable as tier 3? Special case?

Not at all, I keep thinking Nightmare is going to show up with that demon hand of his. Also I am totally down for Soul Calibur esque Darkin. One who instead of forcing a take over of a host, enters into a pact with the host. To fulfill some kind justice/revenge for the host, and granting a body to the darkin to advance some kind of goal to take revenge/seek justice on the aspects. Kinda like how angels work in supernatural. Would be a nice counterpart to how Kayne and Rhaast are fighting each other, while this Host and Darkin are working together.

{{champion:33}} Would probably be the easiest to play. Roll, Taunt, Curl play pattern with the occasional ult (that damages towers). Itemization thoughts go as such, did you recently buy armor? : Can we have a mostly evil character that loves someone deeply?
How about something like this? Evil bad guy was the oldest of two children, who lived happily with his mother and father. His mothers life was claimed by illness as they could not afford proper health care. The father in his despair turned to the bottle and became more, and more abusive. Which ultimately ended up in the little brothers death after knocking over their fathers mostly finished bottle of whiskey. After his brothers death, in a fit of rage Evil bad guy murdered his father out of revenge. Changed by the whole ordeal, Evil bad guy wants to end civilization as we know it so that he can rebuild it in his image to prevent tragedies like this from happening again. Knowing that he would need power unimaginable he scoured through tomes and ancient texts until he learned of how to find, and harness the power of the World Runes. During one of his routine village executions he accidentally saves a little girl from some truly atrocious people (rapists). Now the little girl idolizes him as the guardian than she thinks he is and refuses to believe that he is pure evil as the act of saving her burns brightly in her memories. Evil bad guy is reminded of the childlike innocence of the brother he lost and decides to include her in his plans. Though he would never admit it, he would do anything to protect this little girl. Only claiming that he keeps her around to train into a proper and strong underling to aid him in his destruction of all civilizations. Bonus points if we get little girl now grown up as a playable champ too so we can see her perspective of Evil bad guy. little girl now grown up can be an assassin mage who is cheerful and eager to make Evil bad guy proud of her. Evil bad guy will obviously be a mage and puts up a front that he see little girl now grown up as a really useful underling. But is secretly proud of her.

: Death of an Ascended or an Aspect may mean End of a Celestial Concept
I feel like that writing some thing like that would trap the authors/Lore team. If killing an ascended means killing an Idea, or concept. Than Humans have killed Ideas and concepts, other ascended have killed Ideas and concepts. Hell, Myisha got a group of them together to specifically cause the death of some of the ascended. Which means as a whole Runeterra is way shittier than what it used to be, since I believe that is was mentioned that there where thousands of ascended, and most of them are dead. The ascended that originally had the Chalicar(I forgot her name) was revered by all other ascended so much so that her weapon became a powerful symbol that was capable of making the fallen ascended put aside their differences long enough to hear each other out, at least before trying to take possession of it. What idea or concept she is must of been so profoundly good that her death would probably be seen as the reason as to why the Ascended became Darkin, and the collapsing of the Shurima Empire was just a side effect of her death. Wouldn't it make more sense if the ascended are a reflection of an idea or concept, or just a representation instead of being the actual idea or concept? The Aspects already have the narrative realm of being a living Idea, but also everything they do or say is completely within the realm of the idea they are the aspect of. The aspect of twilight is all about change, so twilight has to always be doing something new, something different, always looking for that new interest. I doubt the aspect of twilight could even stand being in a static environment as that goes against their very being. The protecter on the other hand can, and will find beauty in a static environment and would do all he can to preserve that environment in time of change. So that would make the Aspects the Ideal, the purest expression of what they represent. The Idea. A dod. The ascended on the other hand are the beings that have an affinity for their concept, they valued something so much that they made it a huge part of what they are, but they are not limited by that idea. Take Nasus before his ascension, his brilliance was recognizable from a young age, "he read, memorized and critiqued the greatest works of history, philosophy and rhetoric within the Library of the Sun before he’d seen ten summers."(From the bio of Nasus) At 10 years old he had become an amazing scholar, long before he became a bad ass military tactician and commander. So when he was close to death and performed the ascension ritual, his values where so close to being the purist form of intelligence and knowledge that he was capable of ascending and had his values for knowledge and intellect turned up to 11 (godhood). So than we can see that an ascended embodies an Ideal long before the ascension happens. They live it, they breath it, but they are not restricted by it. They are the letters that make up the word that is the idea. A demi-god.
: Holy shit Aatrox feels AWFUL.
His kit does work with itself, his W is the start of his attack combo, if that pulls them back you know exactly where to land the first Q, since his dash can hold two charges that would mean the ideal use for them is to position yourself so that the second and third Qs hits. So you are looking at an attack pattern somewhat like this. R? (Optional ult though it might be wasted if you miss the next part) > W (if it pulls them back, continue attack pattern) > R? (Probably the optimal time to ult so you can make sure you can continue the attack) > Q (aiming at the pull spot) > E (first reposition for optimal hit range) > Q > E (Last reposition for optimal hit range) > Q > Autos > wait for cooldown just from looking at the kit I would imagine that to be the ideal pattern. Which means if you are opposing AAtrox than dodge the W and you are mostly good. If you do get hit, don't run directly away as that would most likely get you pulled back in but either run to him or to the sides of the box. Than be on the look out for his Q ranges either get back or get closer on the first one or maybe to the sides as that looks like it is his most narrow Q. For the second Q continue/start advancing or start retreating based on his positioning to dodge the sweet spot. After the second Q it would prolly be the best time to back off regardless of intentions as he will try to get on top of you with his reposition. So just get out as it looks like the sweet spot is directly below him.

This allows Assassins to be able to deal massive damage to any one target, but not murder someone with out first having it set up. % max health=tank destroying.
Nothing wrong with that. Why shouldn't an assassin be able to jump on a low health target and take them out of a fight regardless of the targets role? I guess in my mind it is ok because first the target would have to be at a low enough health percentage wise, but also isn't that the power fantasy of playing an assassin? I umping in at the most opportune time to eliminate an unprepared target. Though this also would work better with my idea of a class weakness diagram like such tanks > damage focused (dps, burst, marksmen, mages) > tanky fighters ( damage defense mixed) > tanks With assassin's being able to damage everyone equally at the best moment. Supports would be able to save everyone equally at the best moments.

I always figured all Darkin where inspired by the Soul Calibur series...Does that mean there are some Darkin that would be more along the lines of the Soul Calibur weapons maybe looking to form a symbiotic relationship instead of dominating a host? Also Demonblade Tryndamere always game me a Nightmare vibe.
: No it is not. you got Warded ping MIA ping Omw ping Back off ping You can ping items and champions ( anyone with double digit IQ can understand what it means ) Back in our days with only had the blue sound ping and we had to type SS/MIA in chat when someone went missing. You got everything on a silver platter and you are still abysmally bad at the game ( i mean the community not targeting you ) we had nothing. That's why vet's have no respect for season 5 onward players.
(Old man voice) Back in my day we had one ping. If we wanted to communicate a mia we would ping 3 times on the predicted path, multiple pings in lane if we didn't know the path. the double ping to warn an ally to back off. and dodge was a buildable stat that made jax all but unkillable, and the map looked like it was colored in by a child, and we liked it too!
: I feel like they're trying to add risk and force interaction, to make LCS more interesting. But this doesn't work because LCS players are naturally risk-averse (since they get their paychecks off winning the game). Pro players respond to damage creep by playing even MORE passively. But casuals can't count on teammates that play safe. So what happens is the game becomes super boring to watch while lower elo games are destroyed by damage creep and reflex-testing.
What if they made it so that a tower can only be damaged if its ally players are out of its range and increasing the damage of towers to champs, and gold for player kills are halved? More incentive to force tower dives that are riskier to take out opponents increasing interactivity, while reducing the negative consequences of dying to make riskier plays more enticing.

: The Question of the Ages: Is Yasuo OP?
I don't think he is really overpowered, but I do think he can be overbearing. Which wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that it seems he has a lot of training wheels for a champ that I believe should have a higher skill ceiling. After all it is one thing to be outplayed by a good player making use of their tools(cough Shaco mains cough), but it is completely different to be out played because of a programmed item advantage that is not inherent to his theme. Such as his matched 401k crit chance. Could you imagine the complaints if any other champion had the ability to build two crit items, and be maxed out on it, champs such as Garen, or Gangplank, Master Yi, or even an ADC. Also his ult interaction while his target is under tower seems a bit too safe, since it forcefully puts him out side of tower range. I understand why it was done since he is also forced to stay in one spot until its completion, kinda like Renektons w, and it has such a major restriction to activate, but this gives him a way to tower dive without having to fully commit. I do think these upsides are more detrimental to how his play style should reward good Yasuo players vs bad Yasuo players. How often is it that a bad Yasuo goes 0/10 KDA but finishes his second crit item around 20 minutes and than ends the game closer to 10/10 KDA. While a good Yasuo can end the game at a score of something like 15/4 KDA. I believe by removing the crit matching you would allow for a greater difference between a riskier carry build vs a safer but more durable fighter build and being able to select the right one for the match. This would open up design space to add power to other parts of his kit such as returning the full value of his crits, upping the base damage on his abilities, allowing his dash and his ult to crit as well, or even making his crit damage value higher to emphasize that wind cutting to the bone feeling. With his ult, to take off the training wheels, I believe the correct solution is to shorten how long he himself is air born with the enemies. I would suggest changing his ult animation to be a two slash hit with the speed of the two hits scaling with his attack speed where by having enough attack speed will put you on the ground faster, but still retains the rest of the ults abilities, minus the tower dive training wheels, with less damage from the ult. This change will allow him to keep his ult bonuses of bonus armor pen, maintaining the knock up for 1 additional second, shortens his time in an unresponsive state, better synchronizes his swift as the wind theme with his play style, and gives better skill expression as a player by than making the correct follow up attacks on the right enemy while they are still air born.
: The jungler is truly a mysterious existence. Everyone complains about being camped by it.
I think a sign of a good jungler is when multiple lanes claim they are being camped in the same match.
: ADC's scale into late game and are super weak early and usually have no mobility. Cassio gets to run you down with ghost, rylias slow, grounding, speedup, and a stun if you ever decide to all in her.
Ashe gets to run you down with ghost, zeal items, her passive that scales with zeal items, approach velocity, and a stun if you decide to all in her. Vayne gets to run you down with ghost, frozen mallet, zeal items, her passive, approach velocity, her q, ult + passive, and has a knock back if you decide to all in her. Kai'sa gets to run you down with ghost, zeal items, frozen mallet, her e, approach velocity, and ult which can be triggered by a teammates cc from a quarter of the map away. Tristana gets to run you down with ghost, frozen mallet, zeal items, her w that resets on kills/assists/bombsplosions , approach velocity, and has a knock back if you decide to all in her. Twisted fate gets to run you down with ghost, frozen mallet, rylais, zeal items, his red card, approach velocity, his ult that can teleport him a quarter of a map and a stun if you decide to all in him. Too lazy to point out more adcs that can do similar things.

: The question would be what kind of scientist they'd make. I mean all the different scientists in the game cover different scientist archetypes. {{champion:27}} is the only chemist and is the mad scientist who'll do amoral experiments for the sake of science {{champion:74}} is the ditzy genius professor {{champion:112}} is the shunned scientist and while he isn't really evil,he really evokes the image of "villainous scientist" {{champion:126}} is the arrogant asocial one,you could even say he is our version of Tony Starrk. {{champion:245}} if you can call him a scientist,is a child genius {{champion:36}} used to be self-experimenting scientist, though I guess that theme goes to Singed now as well. Now I do think that they could go with a more analytical approach for a female scientist, you know someone who keeps everything clean and commands drones to do her bidding(we need more piltover champs anyway) or maybe someone focused on biology and evolution. Another thing Riot tried to do multiple times was a female engineer(they tried to do this kind of character at least 3 times, with the first 2 drafts becoming Vi and Braum respectively, the 3rd one had a robot pet,but was seemingly completely scrapped),which could be upgraded to a more mechanic-like scientist eventually
She should be the super excited to science for the sake of science regardless of the consequence type. Like the Izzet Guild from Magic the Gathering. OOOOOO Her ult should change effects based on the combination of her last 3 cast spells. qwe is one effect, qwq is another, qqq is another, ect...
: Just to pick up on one minor point of comparison, I'd say Kerrigan's visual presentation at least has some sort of congruence to the story, in that being turned to the Zerg disinhibited her from her repressive conditioning beforehand, and her visual design was also meant to be a reminder to Raynor of his past failures. There's likely something to be said about a woman's character design being constructed around another male character, but at least Kerrigan's pseudo-nudity made sense. By contrast, I very much agree with the assessment in the OP that Kai'Sa's visual design makes no sense at all: one of the main themes of her design is efficiency and optimization towards killing, yet bar perhaps her crystalline weapons, her suit is visibly not designed for combat. Any kind of breast-shaped armor, let alone armor that imitates the shape completely, is suicidally impractical, given how it reflects projectiles towards vulnerable organs, such as the heart, neck, stomach and head. This is, for example, why combat gear for women isn't actually that different from that for men, in that it incorporates flat armor across the whole front of the torso. On top of that, the suit also opens in a manner that directly exposes her heart, which is also obviously not particularly well-suited for combat situations. I think the problem people have raised, which a few people have misrepresented, isn't that Kai'Sa is being criticized for being made sexually appealing, but that her conventionally attractive and sexualized character design makes no sense whatsoever in relation to her characterization. I personally feel it makes perfect in-game sense to sexualize characters like Evelynn, a demon who seduces her victims before killing them for sexual gratification, or Miss Fortune, a bounty hunter who uses her physical appeal as one of many tools to rise to the top of a largely male-dominated society. By contrast, when a champion is supposed to be an apex predator, but looks like they're wearing fetish gear into battle, there's a dissonance. It's also worth noting that there is indeed a gender imbalance at work: while we do have intentionally beautiful male characters like Varus or Taric, these characters are not, in fact, sexualized: to pick those two same examples, Varus mostly talks about revenge and death, whereas Taric's quotes, which could've had him flirt with a ton of the League roster, are altogether neutered, with his most risqué moment being a comment on Diana's beauty. On the flipside, we've had female wind elementals, literal queens and elf-like creatures with the appearance of small children make sexual jokes, all within a line-up of women who tend to look the same, and even frequently have the same personality. There are also virtually no monstrous-looking female champions, with the only real female monster in League having such irrelevant genderization (i.e. Rek'Sai) that many players don't even realize she's female. In general, the large majority of League's male roster is designed to embody characters players would want to _be_, which is why there are so many strong, stoic types, and when their design strays from this, it's usually to have characters that inspire some other strong emotion, such as awe or horror. By contrast, the majority of League's female roster is made up of characters the player would want to be _with_, i.e. women who either have nurturing or generically "fun" personalities, while also possessing sexual appeal. Kai'Sa fits this mold, with a personality that comes across as bright and kind, if a little bland, in addition to conventionally attractive visuals. Unlike the men in League, women rarely if ever deviate from this mold, but in spite of this they frequently go against rules of good characterization by having visual presentations that often bend over backwards to give them sexual appeal, even if such presentation bears no relation to the champion's personality, fighting style, or circumstances. This was something Riot, as a maturing company, had promised to move away from, so to see a return to this kind of mistake is more than worthy of criticism.
> By contrast, I very much agree with the assessment in the OP that Kai'Sa's visual design makes no sense at all: one of the main themes of her design is efficiency and optimization towards killing, yet bar perhaps her crystalline weapons, her suit is visibly not designed for combat. I disagree that her suit is not designed for combat. Her main advantage in combat is speed, and she is optimized for that. She has void jet engines on her shoulders, and I don't imagine they are very light, so she wouldn't want too much more weight on her. Also her suit is skin tight to help cut down on drag, like a runners suit, as far as I can tell. Though riot could of given her an arrowhead style chest piece that could cut down on drag, provide protection, and hide her breasts and V neck to cut down on sexualization. Kinda like Pharah from Overwatch. But boobs!! She does have some kind of plating on her extremities, and it looks like the strongest amount of it is focused on her legs. She doesn't fly, so her legs are super important to her ability to fight, as that is where her speed comes from. If I had to guess I think Kai'sa no longer has human legs, and her void suit has replaced her legs but at the strength and endurance required to support her void engines at a consistently high paced speed for what could be for long periods of time. Also in her Splash her leg flaps are open and considering how thick the flaps are I would have thought that her normal skin would be showing a little, but it is just void energy. I assume that void energy goes deeper than what her leg would allow if it was still there.
