: how do you think studies of large groups work? if someone wants to do a statistic on where middle class mothers shop they dont go knock on the door of every middle class mother on the planet, they find a portion (that's still a decent number) with as many varieties between them aside from them being middle class mothers and ask them where they shop. while yes its entirely possible that the majority of the community actually does like short games and just isnt saying a word about it, i hear constantly from all sorts of people how much they hate that games are over by minute 15-25. in game, on boards, in person, facebook, reddit, from what i and many others have seen, combined with sheer logic and player demographic, i think its very safe to say the simple majority of the community strongly dislikes having extremely short games. i have heard so far exactly 3 reasons people dont hate it: you dont get those crazy long games anymore, you dont have to worry about not having enough time near as much, and players who like early game champs are in heaven because theres no such thing as late game. all that aside, its just straight up extremely unhealthy for the game to be so consistently short that anything lategame based is either entirely ignored or riot reworks/buffs it to be more early or mid game friendly.
>how do you think studies of large groups work? The boards are like 0.00000000000000001 percent of the playerbase. If Riot wanted to actually know what people thought towards that they'd do a survey after the match like they do with other things.
: "Your" was emphasized, implying that this person meant only his opinion, when in reality, the majority of the community hate snowbally stomp games.
I mean you can say that but when games were less snowbally and were like 40 mins there were nonstop posts arguing games were too long. People will always flood the boards arguing one way or another regardless.
: Had the same issue, seems now its downloading a patch. Let's see if that fixes the issue.
Maybe I need to a total reinstall, mine doesn't attempt to patch. I don't even have the option to do a repair in the clients option area, it just gives me the options of enabling low spec mode and closing the client during games.

: He has high DPS and sustain. He also doesn't have trouble with going bruiser. So a lategame ryze would be doing at least 300 - 400 damage with one EQ to tanks. Since it's a spammable ability you can cast it like 10 times, gaining a shield when your W is up and killing tanks.
Has the ability to cast 10 times, ignoring the fact that he has absolutely shit range on his W and E, meaning he can be cc'd so easy and focused. There's a really really good reason why you have almost 1k solo que games played this season and have a 50 percent win rate in very low silver. You don't understand the game on a good level, your theories/ideas of how scenarios play out will always be flawed.

And your rank in HOTS is?

Lol, you tried to be that cool sarcastic guy but got downvoted to hell. >The difference is Ryze has to be in the thick of it to really do much and that means he is as vulnerable as the frontliners while being squishier. Like the other guy who responded to you said, Ryze doesn't have the range to be good in a tank meta since he needs to get close to do 2 of his abilities, one of them being necessary for bonus combo damage.
Divewing (OCE)
: Funny thing is, we "are" in a tank meta. {{champion:268}} {{champion:13}} {{champion:67}} {{champion:161}} {{champion:222}} should be top tier picks. They can't because to be top tier right now they also need to be stronger early, which completely breaks them (shit vayne deals with squishies better than tanks right now by IE-Shiv 3 shotting them off huge AD+empowered autos)
Why would Ryze be strong in a tank meta? A tank Meta makes Ryze incredibly easy to lock down with CC and burst him. His range isn't good enough, at least Azir could truly stay on the back line.

But were the punishments severe after? Like if people re-offended were they immediately permabanned again? I know when I first started playing in season 3 when they had the tribunal that thing took so long to punish people whereas now accounts get hit by the ban much quicker.

Malz is good because people always overextend stupidly or engage stupidly, which makes every match mid-late a 4 vs 5 usually.

LMFAO, then they should use call order, which is the only decent thing to do. Again, the "hunting" part of Domination is important for this path as well. That doesn't mean you're not allowed to use them as a support though - we've seen plenty of viable builds for supports with a Domination primary or Domination secondary path.
I second what the other guy said, none of these truly sound like they should be apart of the domination tree. I think damage, speed, abilities, but all of what we saw seems more like support stuff. Zombie ward, Poro ward thing. The last one is alright, it actually makes me think of Veigar since he already gains a shit load of ap for getting kills/assists

: Quick Gameplay Thoughts: July 21
>Champs that may be too dominant or got changes recently for being too dominant and need to be watched closely now - Jayce, Thresh, Galio, Elise, Kalista, Caitlyn Jayce? He's got barely a 51 percent win rate and I rarely ever see him in my ranked matches while playing 10 games a day on average. I can't really speak for the others too strongly though I do feel they are in okay spots. Jayce actually shocks me to be there, and I don't even own the champ btw, >what should we do about some mid laners (Ori, Synda etc) who overly present/reliable choices, are many ranged champs who should be good supports struggling too much at present. I think Ori and Syndra are in great spots. The thing I like about these champs is that I know I can go even against them which is important to me. Champs like Ekko are the ones that bother me. If I attempt to grab a cs and he point and click e's me I know I take his double q for sure and his passive is procced. The counter play against a champ like that feels almost nonexistent. >Duskblade - Do the 7.15 changes go far enough, how does its power compare for different types of users I am an occasional duskblade user who considers it just fine. I value speed for roaming over extra power so I rush Duskblade after ghostblade and max boots, which by that point in the game the enemy normally has some armor. I frequently play against duskblade users and I don't mind playing against them one single bit. I know that I need to pick up early armor to keep them almost completely incapable of killing me, so I do. I know that it prevents me from being able to kill them as well, but the important thing is that I can farm up just fine, keep up with their roams and usually outscale late game.
Not xPeke (EUW)
: That still doesn't really disprove what I said. Just because some have 2k ranked soloQ games doesn't mean that what I said is not true. Especially because I know people climbing with a 48-49% winrate. Which shouldn't happen regardless of MMR, elo and whatnot. It just shouldn't happen. But hey, grind grind grind away.
I don't need to grind, I'm climbing with ease on this account and most of my losses were practicing new champs to learn on my main.
Raiyza (NA)
: This is why I'm done with ranked for the rest of the season. I'm stuck in g5 because I get players like that. You cannot, CANNOT, carry mid laners that can't even last hit properly. I'm sorry.
What kind of excuse is that? lol. I just hit G4 and am climbing with ease. Do we get different games?
: It's not really hard to make it so unranked can only fight unranked.
It's not hard to code, but it'd be hard as fuck to get these people matches. You realize it takes like 3-5 mins on average to find a game out of a pool of the entire playerbase. That pool goes from 10m+ people down to thousands, which would rise the ques to 10-20 minutes for someone to find a match, and thats if no one dodges champ select. It'd be similar to the pbe where it can take literally multiple hours to get into a match.
Not xPeke (EUW)
: What has anything of the 2nd paragraph you said have anything to do with with my initial comment? And I didn't strawman the argument. I was CLEARLY not talking about 1000000000000000 games (didnt even count the numbers). It's just to show that someone who plays MORE games will eventually climb even with a < 50% winrate. How is that indicative of skill if all you need is to grind it out in the long run? And believe me it happens. Grinding means bad teams, badluck, etc, all balance out EVENTUALLY. Someone who only plays 100-400 Ranked a games a season might not have the same results and effects as it might not be quite balanced out yet. That's an undeniable truth. Grinding is easy, it's just climbing through time alone, not actual skill.
Plenty of people grind games and don't climb worth shit. I'm smurfing in high silver/low-mid gold and I'm seeing people with almost 2k ranked solo que games played just this season alone. They usually have 48-49 percent win rates.

Yeah, new accounts really shouldn't start with the mmr they do. If they are good they can slowly carry out of bronze, beats getting completely shit stomped by a gold player.

Champion.gg shows Cho having under a 48 percent win rate in top and mid, while http://lolalytics.com/champion/Chogath/ shows that the top Cho players in the world have a 41.67 percent win rate over the past 7 days. : Well, good morning. 1. You didn't get banned because of what someone else called you. You got banned for bringing your argument and frustration with the Lux to ALL chat and using racial slurs. Riot takes hate speech very seriously. 2. You penalty was also escalated because you were recently off a 14-day ban. 3. In the future, don't ask other people to submit reports. There is no advantage. Simply report them yourself, and they will be held accountable for their behavior. There is no reason to bring yourself into the crossfire. 4. I am going to remove this ban. The Lux was clearly trolling, and trying to get a reaction out of you. But seriously, don't bring drama into all chat. 5. In your next game, consider playing Aatrox. Seriously, that guy needs love.
Jesus fucking Christ, you are removing a ban despite the fact that he already had a 14 day ban and then wrote all that negativity in chat. So many people have been banned for this exact type of thing, getting trolled by a teammate and showing frustration in all chat for it, yet they don't get their bans removed. I remember a year or two ago I got banned when I was getting hardcore trolled by a teammate out of a free ranked win by explaining in all chat that the guy was intentionally trolling (everyone else on my team was acknowledging it) and I was considered negative and got punished. Then I lost another account when therainman was trolling the fuck out of a ranked match we were going to easily win, again voiced frustration in all chat about it and lost the account. You guys have no consistency at all when it comes to your policy towards ban removals.
: nah, you can skip straight to a 14 day ban Recently i was being harassed by a premade so i typed kys at them, and of course since they were a premade, I got an instant 14 day ban. I've only ever had one chat restriction which was some time last year. The punishment system is too hard on what people type and too soft on the actions people take. I don't neccisaraly agree that typing the *n word should result in a ban at all, I think its completely normal in todays culture to use the word. I mean look at rap, its practically used in every stanza in modern day rap. Even on the internet its not that big of a deal, i mean its just the internet. The reason I'm supporting the op is because he was unrightfully banned. This man deserves absolutely no punishment whatsoever. This is a failure in the league justice system that needs to be pointed out. The people who banned op's hovered champion deserve to get some sort of restriction for intentionally banning a hovered champion. That to me is 100x more deserving of a ban than a word on the internet.
I see people write kys all the time, at the very least once a day (I play around 10+ games a day). If they get punished so easily off that alone, I'd be getting messages all the time telling me someone I reported was punished. I actually completely agree the system is absolute bullshit. Although arguing in line with how the current system is, it shouldn't be a surprise whatsoever as to why he was banned. What he wrote is considered negative and punishable. If I made the system pretty much nothing would be punishable, I don't like censorship when it comes to games when the game has a mute feature, but I don't get to make the rules
Lace Up (NA)
: Actually hate speech triggers ban regardless of history. So, the automated system could have just flagged the racial slur and threw a ban on it...because robots can't do context. Not saying your scenario isn't the case for OP, because it certainly could be. But just saying "no" is incorrect.
It doesn't the way you think it does. I know multiple people I've duo'd with who have written the N word and other things in chat and they weren't punished immediately and when they were they still went through the system normally up to the 14 day ban which was skipped. So the people got hit with the 10 game, 25 game and perma ban punishments.
: Oh yes because the words he typed are much more important than the actions taken against him. certainly getting upset is much more important than his champion getting banned.
There is a well known punishment system in place. He without a doubt has had prior chat restrictions, if he coudln't learn from those chat restrictions he deserves the punishment.

They think they can have a negative attitude all they want and it's okay, then come here after they've been punished only to eventually realize the ban isn't being removed. If they need to give me a 14 day ban or whatever go ahead because I was somewhat negative fine. But when im getting intentionally trolled and our whole team has given up certainly this does not merit a permaban. If everyone who was ever negative got permabanned then half the players would be gone. The sad part is typically I try to encourage people to play well and try to win, this was just a rough instance where I got racially attacked and trolled and my bad for getting somewhat negative.
No, you don't get a 14 day, let alone a permaban for one game of being toxic. You've most likely gotten a 10 game chat restriction, then a 25 game chat restriction. usually you also get a 14 day ban before getting a perma, so if you got that too then there is no reaon in the world for them to reverse the perma. Also, take a scroll through the behavior boards and see how many people have the same type of chat logs as yourself with permas, they basically never remove any of the perma bans.

People talk about facing higher elo players in normals like it means something, it doesn't. Any diamond playing in norms, 90+ percent of the time, they aren't playing their main champ and they sure aren't tryharding. The ones who are tryharding in norms are the ones who paid for a boost to diamond for the border and then exclusively play norms to keep from dropping.
