: The main thing is that his stun often connects to things when it really shouldn't.... His Q is a really punishing spell when it does hit stun you, so when it does those weird interactions it's really frustrating to deal with. He also deals a fuck ton of damage for a support, but that's mainly annoying because you're not expecting it, so I'm kinda fine with that lol
all his damage is early game and he only has one damaging spell. meanwhile "support" Zyra, Brand, and Karma can oneshot squishies but nothing gets said about that.

wow man you're brilliant. it's so so easy right? just buying an item that costs 800 gold makes him useless right? I guess that's why he still rocks a 60% ban rate in Plat+ and has a winrate over 53% mid and 52.5 top. because he's so worthless

I have always hated Swain. Literally takes no skill to use him outside of a big ass root than you can easily hit after using your slow. Just press R and use your E on whoever you want to deal the most damage to while healing for retarded amounts even through grevious wounds/ignite.

Strength in numbers regardless of facts. There may have been role stealing, but this is straight up bullying solo players out of their roles/champions "because they can" or you just have to dodge if you don't want to deal with it. Why do you care if none of them will report him? Riot has stated many times (and its their god damn system, its not speculation ITS TRUE) that only 1 report per game counts. So you reporting him is enough. U take role u were assigned to, mute them in game, report after game. Thats it. Works in solo works in premade.

: Can u explain me how is this consequence of Dynamic queue? Even when there are 5 solo players there is role stealing. TBH way more than in premades. Noone can bully you into ANYTHING. There is aboslutely nothing anyone can do to you, being it solo players or 4 premades, if u dont want to do it.
This going unpunished in the new champ select where you are assigned roles is the consequence of dynamic queue. Obviously I could just go jungle anyway and say screw the 4 man but that would also most likely lead to a loss. So if I want to actually have a chance at gaining LP in this type of situation i'm forced into conforming to the 4 man's wishes.

Honestly, the only people I see complain about wards are the people that don't know how to use their trinket and have terrible map awareness. Most of the games I win, in plat, are not ones where the support was amazing at warding....
Mmk. If wards didn't matter and supports weren't supposed to build sightstone then professional players who get paid to play this game wouldn't be doing it.
: is this the guy i played with yesterday because I told you already, i pinged everywhere the team was because I actually have an understanding of movements and only need a bit of the map warded. It is not my fault that you cant listen to pings and you constantly trying to 1v1 in lane or 1v2 with full sight on the enemies side in lane, is entirely your fault
Quort (NA)
: If you're not contributing to vision at all you're a poor player in general, regardless of your role. The thing is that vision is everyone's responsibility. Support is just the role that can itemize more specifically for it without overly gimping themselves of other necessary stats. Especially with the newer vision items, every Support can pick something they like. If you're goal is to win as a Support, then I agree you should probably build a Sightstone as it is extraordinarily helpful. Despite It's perks, It's not something that is mandatory. I'm just upset with OP's attitude.
my attitude has been constructed our of many many games of being the jungler and buying the green jungle item to help provide vision while also buying numerous pink wards and still having almost zero vision in the map. due mostly in part to the support going FULL AP and not upgrading trinket to blue, buying pink wards, or buying a sightstone. then in turn, our team continues to get buttfucked in our own jungle due to lack of vision so naturally we get suffocated out until we can't farm anything and lose. this has happened in MULTIPLE games now and i'm sick of it. supports buy sightstone. plain and simple. I don't see any professional supports saying "fuck it" and going full AP. I do agree that it is everyone's job to place wards and have a pink on the map at all times, but I do not agree with a support completely disregarding team vision needs for them to deal more damage. In general the type of players I'm referring to are the ones who want to play those mages I listed in my original post, but are too afraid of 1v1 lane counters so they retreat to the bot lane where they can still get gold and scale up in a much more safe 2v2 setting. Most of the time ignoring any of the responsibilities the Support role entails and going for pure flat damage.

And how infact is it supposed to be played. Have you been here since season 1? For awhile there it was sion and taric botlane. Not to mention Ashe mid. I bet it really pisses you off that I have a 59% win rate with morde as primarily adc.
no actually it doesn't. if you can play a champion in a certain role and do well with it while helping your team win then by all means do so. when you consciously decide to not purchase a sightstone because you want more AP then you are hurting the team by not providing extra vision. your only assistance is more damage. congrats. if you want to bring that then go mid, top, or jungle where you can build all the damage you want and stop using the support role as a hideaway from lane counters.
Ralimak (NA)
: If Riot intended the supports' role to be vision control, then why is there not a single support champion with vision included in their kit? And yet you have {{champion:22}}, {{champion:429}}, {{champion:133}}, {{champion:421}}, {{champion:4}}, {{champion:202}}, {{champion:51}}, {{champion:35}}, {{champion:17}}, {{champion:19}} who all have some form of vision in their kits? I'm not saying that supports SHOULDN'T ward, I am saying that it is not their main purpose. Honestly, it doesn't make sense that the League community has forced the warding role onto supports - they are stuck in the bottom lane where, if they leave to ward anything farther than dragon pit, they risk their lane mate getting caught in a 2 or 3v1 situation; if they get caught out while warding, they have the least chance of escaping or fighting back (unless you are really tanky or are playing a mage "support"); and late game - when vision is the most important - if you leave your team to ward the most vulnerable areas, you can't be there to engage/counter-engage. If anything, junglers should be expected to ward just as much as the supports - they cover the largest area of the map throughout the entire game, they benefit the most from warding early and mid game (knowing where the enemy jungler is, knowing where enemy laners are to gank/countergank), and they are often assassins or divers who don't need to be right in the middle of their team when a fight breaks out. And I am saying this as a support main with a 1723 ward score, warding more than 95% of League players.
My main issue is the people who take their mages bot lane to "support" in order to avoid getting counterpicked and stomped in a solo lane setting. SO they go bot lane and proceed to build as they normally would if they were midlane or toplane. The only difference is they don't take CS (MOST OF THE TIME). They have no interest in giving the adc the assistance that an actual support would give. They are purely there to "deal the damages" as I said and they just want the safe route in a 2v2 setting instead of the 1v1 setting where they could get counterpicked.
: Yeah...i take issue when you say things like "obligated" and "supposed to played" Who has the authority to make these decisions? Certainly not you. Mages are supposed to be mid lane I heard...but sometimes faker plays riven and irelia ...feel free to call him out for "not fulfilling his obligations" and "not playing the game how it's supposed to be played" You're a tool and a tyrant if you really think people have to bow down to what you "think"
take issue all you want with how I worded things. if you sign up for the role of support or you get it in fill then do your job the way it's meant to be done. it's not that difficult. if I can get the green jungle item to help provide vision FOR THE TEAM then the support can damn sure get a sightstone. why would I call out Faker for playing those two champions mid for counterpicks? playing a certain champion in a lane where they might not be optimal is entirely different from doing the basic things to help your team win such as providing vision.
: PSA for supports. (even for you people who bring mages botlane and call yourself a support)
I should add that I USED to be a support main when I started at the end of season 4 and into season 5. Even when I first started playing I figured out that vision was probably the most important factor to the game. There is absolutely no excuse in not building a sightstone at some point during the game as support. If you pick the role of Support or you get it in fill then yes build a god damn sightstone. Literally you're just being selfish to instead go full AP instead of doing your job (which is to peel, shield, heal, provide utility, provide vision, occasionally roam and gank other lanes, keep your damage dealers alive). The job of support is often undervalued but they honestly do a lot. WHEN THEY ARE ACTUALLY CHOOSING TO ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE. More times than not whenever I see a mage that I listed get played as support they don't get sightstone, or they don't get it until after completing 3 damage items. (whatever better late than never). As a jungle main, there is rarely a time when I don't build {{item:1409}} to help provide vision. If I can opt for less damage by not choosing red smite or blue smite to help provide vision, then you absolutely can do the same as SUPPORT.

Literally Gold/Plat is no better than Bronze last time I brought this up people said that {{item:3092}} is enough and that at low ranks there is no point in supporting properly because adcs are bad and no one looks at wards anyway
Completely false. I compare vision to defense in sports. defense/vision wins games. maybe that ward that you placed deep in their jungle provides the perfect teleport flank for your toplane or midlane and it wins you the teamfight that you need to comeback or to win the game. it's ridiculous and i'm tired of people not actually doing their fucking role of supporting. i don't know how adc mains continue trying to play their role with this epidemic going on. I'm a jungle/top main and i feel so sorry for them.
: When the ADC goes 0/6 you'll be happy at least the support can do some damage.
No. I'll still be pissed off but about 2 things instead. A sighstoneless "support" and a feeding adc. Which the feeding adc can probably be attributed to zero vision for protection from ganks and the "support" going for all the kills instead of peeling.
: Upvoted.. as a support main... in the occasions I am not support and the support in our game doesn't build sightstone I want to strangle them if you are going to take my support at least do your job. I don't care which champion just buy the sightstone.

: We only give out rewards to players who are able to play through the entire game. While it seems that you were able to do quite well in the early part of the game before you DC'd, your team still did the hard work of winning even though they were down a man. At the end of the day, we don't want to encourage leaving games or AFK'ing, which means that even if your team wins, you do not get to share in the rewards. I hope this clarifies things a bit!
They were able to win also due to my efforts for the first 18 minutes of the game where I got kills and had assists while also controlling objectives. We secured at least 2 of those 3 dragons while I was still playing. The enemy team didn't get a single tower or objective in the entire game and you're saying I didn't earn any part of the reward for winning when I played more than 50% of the game and DC'ed due to my internet inexplicably going out for over 6 hours? There is a MAJOR difference in DC'ing due to internet failing for reasons not known, and just afk'ing due to anger at the game. While I understand you don't want to reward players that ACTUALLY AFK, the fact that I was doing well and my team was doing well would show that I had no reason to AFK. My absence was due to internet failure. I earned the LP reward for that win as much as anybody on my team with what I accomplished in those 18 minutes.

: GP can still be a threat...just depends on your situation. TF being built on him now is a waste of time, yes. IE on him will take too long unless you're getting fed like a baws...and that's not likely. {{item:3508}} {{item:3036}} {{item:3046}} {{item:3087}} {{item:3053}} {{item:3111}} Seems like the only logical build...least from my perspective. Takes forever, yes...but with TF getting shoveled into the pile of shit items, what more can we say/do?
People stopped building Essence Reaver on GP a while ago (including me) because GP didn't really have mana problems after sheen and you could get 40% CD with Trinity Force, Lucidity Boots, 10% in scaling glyphs, and Death's Dance. Essence Reaver is honestly a trash item that hardly any champion builds as a go to item. I can't think of a single champion I rush that item on and it feels good to do so. So in regards to your build I'd replace ER with IE. Swap Steraks for Death's Dance, or if the enemy team has burst AP for Maw. I'd take Lucidity Boots over Merc's. GP is honestly dead if he gets CC'ed with W on CD because most of the time he is glass cannon or very minor defense in his build so Merc's are somewhat wasted upon him.
: It baffles me how many threads there have been about TF Yasuo being nerfed when otherwise basically everyone hates Yasuo with a burning passion. As for Gangplank, it's generally poor design if a champion is balanced so much around a single stat on a single item, like pre-rework Vlad and WotA. _(I say a single stat on a single item because the issue that's brought up is TF losing crit chance, which just means Gangplank is hinging on getting both the 200% Base AD spellblade procs AND 100% more total AD from crits at the same time. If this is the case, then he'd likely need a general damage buff somewhere, but I doubt it's that simple.)_
This is more a post about the fact that GP feels awful building Trinity Force now. I couldn't care less about Yasuo because he should never have been building Trinity Force in the first place because Yasuo doesn't need Mana or CD.

If you're going to play support pick a real support. Plain and simple. Anything else is trolling and finding any success through playing these Faux supports in Katarina and Akali is a testament to the lack of competence by the enemy team. If I were an adc with a katarina/akali support (especially in a ranked game) I would already be pissed off in champ select. Knowing from the start I have zero assistance in staying alive from my supposed to be "support" other than pure damage is fucking bullshit and you have no right to choose support and to fuck over adc mains like that.
