: Jesus Christ, just remove Tahm's ally Devour at this point.
Q changes unneeded. W changes are atrocious. E buffs and R nerfs are a fair tradeoff. What absolute horseshit the W changes are. I play TK because I want a tanky protection support who I can use to UNDO the bad choices of my teammates. I don't want Alistar because I'll just be able to disable my enemies. I don't want Thresh because I'm not looking to make picks, and I won't be all that tanky. I want TK for the games where the team composition matchup is rough and I have little confidence in my ADC's ability to make smart choices. NOT TO MENTION that effectively using TK's W on an ally requires the ally's cooperation. It is the most frustrating thing in the world to rescue an ally from a fatal situation, just to have them click out of your devour as soon as they can, AND IN THE DIRECTION OF THE THREATS TOO. Also, Flashing with a devoured ally is hard as hell too because if the ally is clicking out of your devour, and your spit animation begins, if you flash right as that animation begins, YOU flash but your ally is dropped where you were before your flash was cast. So what exactly is the point of slowing and grounding TK during ally devour then? This is already a meta that TK struggles to thrive in. You slow him down so that any ally devouring is basically team griefing. You ground him to prevent any flashy devour->flash plays that rarely ever work out to begin with. Now the devour minion spit damage and enemy champion devour damage is nerfed to hell... No point in playing TK anymore, he was already struggling and performing poorly in this meta. Guess I'll start playing support Poppy to fulfill the role of high-skill protection outplay support that TK used to fill.
: Flamed for using Malphite Ultimate as a "fancy flash"
Malphite ult is better to use than Flash simply on the basis of the cooldown. Dont sweat your teammates.
: Am I the only one who gets this?
I get this a lot, so what I do is I queue up for ARAM and play some other champs that I'm not familiar with. After some time of this, I revisit my older main champs and I don't have that stress anymore while retaining the natural memory of how to play the champ, and I end up performing much better than when I was burnt out on them before.

: Taric Q mana cost change
How is it not worth putting more than 2 points into? Rank 4 = double the healing of Rank 2 for +20 mana when you are using full charges. If anything Rank 5 is kinda worthless since your empowered attacks come in sets of 2. Heal -> double auto -> shield/stun -> double auto -> heal with 4 charges What is the problem here?

: AMA with the Sylas team! (x-post from r/leagueoflegends)
So as a player who often doesn't read champion lore (but I want to make the time to go through some Universe stories), I try to get a read on champions based on their visuals, the voice lines in their teasers, and their abilities in general. When it comes to Sylas, he strikes me strongly as a scummy person. Not someone seeking revenge or enacting a vendetta. Not someone trying to right the wrongs in the world. Scummy as in... The kind of person who makes illegitimate excuses when asked to help others. The kind of person who will say anything to preserve their self-image. The kind of person who brazenly announces good will while holding selfish ulterior motives. The kind of person who has to believe in their own lies so that they can peddle untruth to others. The kind of person who doesn't have respect for the identity of other people. Seems like he puts on the front of having noble intentions, but is truly just a scummy person on the inside. Do my perceptions of him match reality? Were these the kinds of characteristics you guys were intending for Sylas? Are players supposed to read him as a person wholly engulfed in deceit?
: I don't know how to defuse situations where my teammate is angry at me.
As a player who gets angry with their teammates but doesn't flame, the best way to defuse (in my eyes) is to own up to mistakes. For instance: "yo wtf we called for dragon 30 seconds ago and you stayed stop lane with no lane opponent?", just be like "my bad, thought I could clear my waves faster" or "you're right, but I thought my lane opponent was still here" or "why did you have to cc the enemy away from us when we could have killed them?", just respond with "sorry, i thought my spell was going to kill them for us" maybe they are saying "can you stop inting?", defuse with "i'm actually trying but i'm having a rough game. who do you want me to focus?" i respond to angry teammates with stuff like that and it calms them down quite a bit, and it's so much better than escalating with them. However, if they are flaming you "holy fuck you are terrible" or "uninstall this game you piece of shit", ignore and mute, do not respond.
: Stop giving me all these key fragments I can't use
You don't even have to do anything else besides play the game in order to get keys. At least you have to plan out how you get chests and be good enough to get chests.
: Sterak's didn't go off a single time the entire game. This was just the clip I chose. Like you said, the icon never showed which is the bug. The game never even acknowledged that I had the passive.
The only thing I can think of is that your defenses are so high and the enemies' damage is so drawn out that you didn't meet the "X damage taken in Y seconds" requirement.
: Worst Mission Ever? [Odyssey Onslaught Augments]
You should have just FF'd. If 3 of your teammates do not want to continue playing the match and won't get any benefit out of playing the match, but you and your duo don't want to FF (so that the FF vote is 3/2 every time), then you ARE holding those 3 people hostage. Just FF and requeue. Play through the match with a group of people who are ALL benefiting from the playthrough, not just you and your duo. If you want people to not be toxic, then don't be toxic back. Show the same courtesy that you would want your fellow players to show you. I got through all the missions by offering what I wanted to do in champ select, not instalocking, and trying to find common ground with teammates. If any of us were in disagreement over who to play or how many augments, I would just say "lock and FF, start over with new group". And 95% of people would actually follow through. It's that easy. The other 5% were players who got salty that everything didn't work out immediately in champ select, and decided to hold me and others hostage. Kind of like what you did. Don't be a dick.

I don't know if it's really a thing, but what you wrote here sure doesn't seem to bear any relevance to what he wrote. What's the link between the two? Sure! The original poster is aggravated because players in his game are trying out new champions and, being inexperienced with those champions, playing suboptimally with them. The original poster feels this is sufficient grounds to harass his allies for it. His anecdote further goes to say that the inexperienced players are justifying their suboptimal playing by saying “I’m just having fun.” This original poster thinks this game is not about having fun if the fun is distressing the other 4 allies. I made efforts to remind him that the game is indeed just to have fun. The original poster, afaik, posits a solution to restrict those players to nonranked, apparently unaware that both Smurfs, trolls, and try-yards exist not just in ranked, but in all game modes, and there is no practical solution to segregating players based on their intensity.
>This original poster thinks this game is not about having fun if the fun is distressing the other 4 allies. Fun at the expense of others is not 'fun in good faith' Stop justifying shitty behavior
: Why the usual PAX argument is terrible.
The reason why the PAX thing was even an issue was because the event that exclusion took place at was a **_game industry related professional development seminar hosted by the hiring company itself_**. Prof. dev. seminars for men/women exclusively are not problematic when provided by an organization that isn't affiliated with an employer or is planning to employ those in attendance. Riot does have interest in employing those in attendance, and they restricted those who could attend. This is an example of biasing your own hiring pool. That's why PAX was an issue.

I'd really rather being able to disable selfcast with Liss. Too many times I aim on an enemy near me and it casts on myself. I have a self-cast keyboard combination for when I want to selfcast. I NEVER want to selfcast with my mouse.
: Why is it when I click one secondary rune to switch...
It is always consistent with the way it does the replacement though... You pick 2 runes from 3 rows. So you have 2 runes chosen from 2 rows. When you choose a rune from the 3rd row, the FIRST rune you chose, regardless of which row it is found in, replaced by the new choice. So when you choose your 1->2 runes, Rune 1 is always replaced when you choose into the unselected row. It's simple.

Enforce non-discrimination in staffing practices by addressing discrimination if it is noticed and documented. > > You do not need to exclude men in order to empower non-men. > > You empower non-men by targeting them as a primary audience or benefactor for a program and stuff, while not excluding men. Hell, most of the time, when programs or training are aimed at non-men, those programs/training are just as valuable to men because the vast majority of men are in the same boat as "disenfranchised" non-men. It's not about making non-men succeed OVER men with preference, but about providing resources and help to non-men get what men get. Most programs for non-men actually provide beyond what "the standard man" gets. I'd be totally fine with separate workshops that are segregated for non-men and men (different days/times, etc.), as long as the same opportunity+information+resources are afforded to both groups. > > It is incredibly demeaning to non-men to be segregated from men in workplace/work-related environments. Segregation in training or workshops is fine, because men learn well together and women learn well together, there's less gender-related clashing in a LEARNING environment (this does not at all support what happened at PAX. Men did not have the same opportunity afforded to them, in terms of events and segments hosted). Most non-men, publicly speaking and those that I personally know, just want to be "normal" with everyone else, treated the same, no preferential treatment. They want to be validated on the basis of their skill and talent, not on the basis of what demographic they are. To prefer them on their demographic is to invalidate their skills and talents. Thus, demeaning. > > Discrimination, in any regard, is an attitude that contributes to the "sexist/racist/homophobic" systems that the far-left focuses on. The problem is that the far-left has equated the systems with the attitudes that created them, which is then why they say "it's literally impossible to be sexist to men/racist to whites/heterophobic", because they are thinking about the system rather than the attitude. Discrimination starts with attitude, and the attitude can go both ways. I hope Riot's culture recognizes that. are you against women only colleges? I agree with what you said overall anyway

Sea lion was a wonderful term for me to learn. However, even if you disagree with SJW philosophy, the terms ableism (kinda ridiculous but also kinda necessary to have, just on the basis of describing discrimination of ability/disability) and non-binary are actually useful and have value/utility. It's just that SJWs have claimed them as buzzwords and abuse the words as insults rather than their intended purpose.

I am saying that _**it is okay if genders decide to segregate themselves**_ (more women than men in humanities/nursing occupations??? More men than women in STEM related fields???), _**but not okay if third-parties enforce gender segregation onto people or the public**_. A women's only party (birthday, bridal shower, ladies' night out) is perfectly okay, and any man that complains about not being invited or not being accepted into attendance to them, is literally a manbaby. And that is not saying women are privileged either... I would say the same for men as well. There is a stark difference between the genders segregating themselves, and organizations and companies enforcing it on a policy level. Privilege is not at all involved in the former, but it is in the latter.

I can respect that telling someone to perform said act is recognized for what it is, a paraphrase/analogy to "kill yourself", and that you guys are moderating its usage in that way. However, please let the topic itself still be talked about.

This is all segregation, and a public company has no business engaging in this. If the genders were changed in your examples and women/NB were the ones explicitly being left out by Riot, what do you think the public response would have been? If people complained or pointed out (with intent for action) about a non-men ballpit/party/pep-rally, then DZK would be validated in his insults toward the playerbase. Anybody would plainly see that manbabies are complaining that they don't get to be part of the ballpit too. The nature of the event where the exclusion took place is the important part. I understand that opens up a new can of worms on the subjectivity of what is considered important enough for inclusion/exclusion to actually matter, but I stand by my position that the nature of the event is what is important.

: Some of the top threads on this topic give you instructions on how to access the full raw screenshots from a search engine, you probably should’ve just done the same since Riot is in damage control mode on these boards and removing those images every time they’re posted.

I've already got them, i blacked out information that would get the post removed or me banned

: PAX/DZK - A timeline summary, and why it hasn't died down yet.
Guys I found screenshots, I have blotted out the use pictures as well so that no identity is being leaked. https://i.imgur.com/qgm29LV.png[/img] https://i.imgur.com/bnKnAsG.png[/img] https://i.imgur.com/JBXl8yD.png[/img] DZK is the last 5 posts in the Slack thread. "I saw the original reddit thread and was sharply, painfully reminded of how long we have yet to go." Proceeds to perpetuate sexism. "Sorry for the headaches I caused you! I should not have tweeted in anger, but I doubt I would have said something very different when I wasn't angry." Then goes ahead and tells the male playerbase to kill themselves. The hypocrisy is so rampant.
