: So let me get this straight: Boards complained for two years straight about junglers farming. They said that they didn't gank enough, had too much control of objectives, were too heavily rewarded for afk farming in a situation where they didn't have to risk laning against someone, and would emerge from the jungle in mid game (always with a fully stacked feral flare / devourer enchant, according to boards) and run an unholy rape train on the enemy team. Now boards is complaining that the jungle is too gank centric; that the junglers spend too much time camping and ganking lanes when jungle camps have DECADES long respawn timers, offer low amounts of gold, and deal more damage than they used to. Make up your fucking mind. The jungle either has to be farm centric or gank centric. If you have camps with respectable respawn times that reward appreciable amounts of gold and xp, farming will ALWAYS be superior to ganking because it does not depend on another player cooperating.
I'm alright with people ganking instead of farming, but I'm not okay with how little risk is involved, especially lvl 3 doubles full HP 2v1 vs. me who is only level 2, busting my teleport (i don't take it anymore, personal preference) and then promptly dying again even though they didn't back and busted all of their summs on me. It just don't feel natural for toplane to be dominated so easily. I don't mind getting ganked, I mind how effortless it is.

: That's still 16 minutes of the game with a hyper AP nerf to an item about 7-8 Champs use as their core AP potential while they charge it. That's what it takes MINIMUM to charge it, and by then, it might as well be a perma nerf in most cases, because at 16 minutes, most of the game is decided. Champs like these are going to all need buffs on their low level skill tiers to compensate for the loss: {{champion:34}} R damage will be garbage. {{champion:99}} Will not have a viable item to ensure combos are kill possible early game. {{champion:267}} Will heavily lose Heal potential as well as % Heal scaling on Ebb and Flow. {{champion:13}} Will not have enough Mana scaling to actually ever get into a game. {{champion:37}} Is going to hit significant heals much later, Drastically nerfing her already extremely weak early game, as well as her damage scaling. There are others, but these 5 really have no other options for high scaling/efficiency play.
There's a reason why it is a scaling item. It was never meant to be an item where you get it and you immediately have a huge chunk of AP to use, it was meant for champions who want to scale into lategame hyper-carries (eg. {{champion:30}} {{champion:45}}). In ryze's case, he doesn't grab an archangel's immediately, he goes tear>Catalyst>RoA>Archangels and carries on from there. A lot of those champs want tear/archangel's for the mana return and larger pool, not for the intent of giving burst mages like Lux a way to infinitely spam spells and do tons of damage at the same time, that's luden's job. tl;dr - Archangel's is for scaling, hence being at the same power at seraph's, Luden's is for burst in the case of lux and co. (Yes, luden's kinda sucks right now, however that is not my point, I'm attempting to point out what Riot wanted the items' purposes to be.)
Onotori (NA)
: So, if we're going to talk about "toxicity", we have to look at the motivation behind it. Why do people troll, and why do people flame, right? Where trolling is concerned, it's a grab for attention. There's a lot of things that could drive them to do it, but it all comes down to wanting attention -- even if said attention is negative attention. As for flaming, that one is a bit more complex. In some cases, it's just someone being an asshole, but that falls under the need for attention. In most cases, though, it's someone who is frustrated (which makes sense in a highly competitive game like this) that is venting in chat. Imagine if you stub your toe or something, you might growl or yell or make a noise -- it's the same idea. Though, we're not talking about real life here, we're talking about a game, so the methods of venting are goinna be within the game too, right? > [{quoted}](name=ZackTheWaffleMan,realm=NA,application-id=ZGEFLEUQ,discussion-id=EfltUKg2,comment-id=,timestamp=2018-04-09T16:40:59.321+0000) > > Self-defense: Taking action to prevent harm (muting) > Retaliation: Causing harm because you were harmed (flaming flamers) > > Riot encourages the former and disallows the latter. I'm calling bullshit here. The way Riot handles it all, you do nothing but promote further "toxicity" and make the game a hostile place -- even if you're one of the people who think they're helping the community by reporting everyone. In the case of the troll, they want attention. So let's look at how the behavior system works, and you tell me they're not getting exactly what they want: So, they start trolling, and people might mention it -- this fuels their trolling, right? Then, when they get banned and come on the forums for Tantrum and his posse to call them out, they're getting even more attention, right? This gives them satisfaction, and then they go on to make another account and repeat it all over again, since they know their trolling works. How would you be helping that by constantly reporting every minor case of trolling though, right? Well, when you report them and start the whole trolling cycle, you also start a cycle for yourself -- when you get that popup saying your report was merited, you feel good about yourself, and you want to report more "bad people." So not only does the troll get into an endless loop, so does the person giving him the means of getting attention. So, to stop the troll, what do you do? Cut off their source of attention. Ban them from the forums when they get banned from the game, don't interact with them as a Riot employee if they post about being banned, and punish people who talk about them (including Tantrum's posse). If they get no attention, they will move on. That's how they work. Now, flaming. In the cases where someone is just being an asshole, chat restricting them is appropriate (though you should NEVER ban someone just for chat -- that just creates more frustration, and creates more trolls who do it out of spite). When someone is just venting though... why does it have to be such a big deal? You said it yourself: You have a mute button. So if someone is complaining in chat, you can just ignore it the old-fashioned way (since ultimately it has zero effect on you and shouldn't bother you anyway) or use that mute button Riot gave to you -- why do you have to report them for being engrossed in the game? If you leave them alone, they'll burn themselves out soon enough, and stop flaming. If you talk to them and give them an outlet, they'll also calm down. But when you act like some entitled little asshole and call them horrible names and report them, you do nothing but add to their frustration. So we're told that it's horribly "toxic" to express frustration, and we reward people who instigate others. If you really wanted to promote a healthier community, you wouldn't do either. How often do you hear about people being banned from MMOs when people are frustrated? How about from any competitive game outside of MOBAs? Nowadays, we have people copying League, since it's one of the most profitable games out there. I actually never even heard the term "toxic" before coming to League, but now it's everywhere since Riot has shown the profitability of banning people for every little outburst or rude comment. And I know you'll deny it, but the way Riot handles player behavior isn't tied to anything but money. The whales feel good about themselves when people get banned, and banned people come back and rebuy skins and now champs with the horrible BE system basically stopping you from getting any expensive champs in time for ranked. So, no. Riot does not promote stopping harm -- hell, they love it when the community is toxic, 'cause you can make more money off of it than you can a calm community. And we're at the point where neither Riot nor the community can really do much to actually stop the toxicity without working together on it, and that will never happen, so...
Well said man, this resonates with my thinking perfectly.
: good luck with that when you can hear a conversation across the room with your ears covered and being universally excluded as that weird kid that always has something wrong also, most cases of people who ignore the problems around them have suffered so much damage that there is little more that can be done to them and are unstable as a result
It's worked for me thus far too. I'm not generally disliked in my school, but that's due to how I react. A lot of people want to see a negative reaction, but no reaction or a positive one will usually surprise them and let them stop more.

good thing it's not a 4v0 then, since your team will have a group of champions too.
: Only for some champs though. Syndra and Karthus would love this but what about Yi, Tryn, Xin, Jax, etc?
Xin would have no ult or W cast time, trynda would have no Mocking Shout time (where he stops to do it), Jax doesnt' have any abilities that would need a cast time for. Yi's meditate would heal for the full amount instantly, maybe his Q, but I don't think so. Mostly it will affect cast times and channels

: ADC's are not useless in any stage. Even when behind, they have range and the option to buy Statikk Shiv to waveclear and stall till they get stronger. A melee top laner 1) doesn't have range, 2)doesn't have the easy option to waveclear. I think that's what he means. Sivir is always useful in a team manner as long as she has built one item to waveclear effectively.

Like, assuming you know who got the takedown (from the scoreboard), what would you specifically be looking for out of death recap (in an ideal bug free fantasy world)? (Line graphs would be best for this honestly, with percentage of the line being filled based on damage type, where the colors stack on each other. On the sides would be the abilities and units the damage came from. -For those who just want to build based off their enemies, another option could be that it focuses onto the high-damage area such as around a high-damage timeframe or long combat timeframe (or combination) and show magic/physical/true damage. Pie chart would probably be best for this, with each champion who dealt damage having their own section, and then that section would be split up based on damage taken. - Main % damage would be shown, would have to click on the champ icon to see what abilities and items did what damage to you, shows the top damage on default. Thanks man!

Cam is one of my mains (Haven't played her oft, though) she easily does 1100 true damage full build, but she has to build purely damage to reach that. Sterak+Trinity gives the bulk of it, while the rest of the items give her the needed ability to survive long enough to do her thing.
